Source: Jason LaVeris / Getty It’s official. Chance the Rapper is working on projects with both Kanye West and Childish Gambino (a.k.a. Donald Glover ). After many rumors , Chance made the announcement on Complex’s “Open Late with Peter Rosenberg.” “I’m gonna do a seven track with Ye,” he said. “I’m supposed to be working on it in July.” Then he went on to say him and Childish also have some tracks recorded together. “We got six songs, that’re all fire. But I think the album’s gonna be more than, like, more than 14 songs. I think it’s gonna be, like, a full thing.” Chance says both projects are “at least 30% done,” but there’s no release dates yet. While we wait though, I’m sure people are already debating which one they’re most excited for. With Kanye, we can already guess what we’ll get thanks to his recent seven track releases . First off, don’t expect the album to drop at midnight on a Friday, even if Friday is the release date. You’ll be waiting on that thang like the second coming of Christ. Second of all, Kanye will probably have more than music production on the album. Despite some great work from folks like Pusha T and Teyana Taylor this past season, Kanye’s presence was felt in and outside their music — some of it good and some of it bad. Expect either a verse, a controversial album cover or an exhausting Twitter rant from Ye before Chance’s album drops. But on the plus side, it would be great to have two Chi-Town icons on a project together. It’s possible we can get another classic reminiscent of Common and Ye back in the Be days . As for Chance and Childish Gambino, we can probably expect a return to rap form from Childish, much different from his Awaken, My Love! era. And while I’m sure some of us are still swerving and dancing shirtless to “This Is America,” it was only a taste of what Childish can do lyrically in his rhymes. Let’s not forget his great feature on Chance’s “Favorite Song” or their great chemistry together on tracks like “Worst Guys.” The two spitters can definitely carry a full album together. So what do you think? Kanye and Chance, or Chance and Childish Gambino? Which duo has your coins? Let us know on Twitter and Facebook!

Image via Getty Therapy For Black Girls Founded To Support Mental Health In Our Community Joy Harden Bradford wants to help Black women and girls have the very best mental health care available. Her Atlanta-based organization, Therapy For Black Girls, has set out to make that possible. According to her interview with HuffPost Bradford says that her path to becoming a therapist came naturally as she has always been the shoulder that her friends cry on. She also stated that she wanted Black women to feel comfortable and not intimidated by the gravitas of a “doctor”. Joy also credits another outstanding group of Black women for inspiring her company: Therapy for Black Girls started when I watched the BET Awards Show called “Black Girls Rock.” The energy in the room ― even when watching it on TV ― is amazing. After, I thought, “How could I create something that had that sort of energy, but related to mental health?” The name came to me, and I jumped on GoDaddy and bought the domain, and it’s sort of taken off from there. Therapy for Black Girls has allowed me to connect to the things I love the most: black women, mental health, and pop culture. It’s become a perfect mix of all the things I love. Joy also wants Black women to find more pragmatic approaches to wellness outside of thumping the bible and screaming “hallelujah” at church: Also, because of the strong ties around spirituality and religion in this culture, there’s been some pushback. There’s this idea that you can just “pray it away,” or that mental illness means you don’t have a strong enough relationship with God. Of course we know that’s not true, but you have to be sensitive to that fact that people are coming in with these kinds of beliefs. So you can’t just say, “Oh no, that’s stupid.” You have to really work with them and help them understand that both things can be true, and how they can make some changes in their lives. Between Facebook and Instagram the message about Therapy for Black Girls is reaching 32,000 people with access to 715 therapists across the country. This thing is for real and the work being done to strengthen our community is even realer.

Image via Kevin Tachman/Getty Images/Eugene Gologursky/WireImage Lee Daniels Agrees To Pay Dame Dash The Money He Owes Earlier this week we all believed we were in a time machine when footage hit the net of Dame Dash putting a full court press on producer Lee Daniels. Lee has owed Dame upwards of $2 million for well over a decade now and Dame wants his guap. Today, Lee appeared on TMZ Live to make a public admission of guilt and a vow to repay Damon every red cent. We respect the fact that Dame didn’t want to drag Lee back to court and make another Black man look bad, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to make sure people respect you. Glad this ended civilly AND we got some great jokes out of it.
