Too Far? 50 Cent Makes Vicious Comment About Michael Jackson While Responding To Paris Jackson

A ll is fair in love and clap back for 50 Cent . And the rapper renowned for his pettiness recently took to an extreme when responding to Paris Jackson about her father, Michael Jackson . See Also:  ‘I Thought It Was A Hoax’: Sparkle Talks R. Kelly’s Marriage To Aaliyah The budding feud apparently first started when 50 Cent posted a video to his Instagram with the following caption: “A ll I’m saying is I never seen MJ come out like this.” View this post on Instagram All I’m saying is I never seen MJ come out like this A post shared by 50 Cent (@50cent) on Sep 5, 2019 at 7:02am PDT   That prompted Paris Jackson, 21, to respond from her verified account: “true legends don’t need to exert outrageous amounts of energy just to grasp your attention. stillness, my friend. stillness. more power in stillness than you can probably understand.” When the 44-year-old rapper apparently took offense at Paris’ remark, he went there. “Why am I the bad guy, I understand how you feel Paris, but does anyone care about how the little boys butts feels,” 50 wrote. Paris Jackson had yet to respond to 50’s lewd and unfounded allegations as of Saturday morning. In 1993, Michael Jackson was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy named Jordan Chandler. In January of 1994, he reportedly settled for $23 million. The accuser’s father committed suicide in 2009, five months after the singer died. Chandler reportedly has never come forward about the allegations and supposedly lives outside of the country. In 2017, when Wade Robson, a choreographer who is featured in “Leaving Neverland,” accused Michael Jackson of sexual assault—even though he’d said in the past the singer didn’t assault him. In 2003, Michael Jackson was charged with seven counts of child molestation and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent to a 13-year-old boy. He was ultimately acquitted of all charges. Robson testified at the 2003 trial, but James Safechuck , the other person featured in “Leaving Neverland,” did not. Many people have maintained the documentary is untrue, including Brett Barnes , who said he knew Michael Jackson when he was child. According to TMZ , the film “implies Jackson molested him as a boy. As for why Barnes thinks this … Wade Robson — one of the singer’s well-known alleged victims — claims in the doc, Barnes ‘replaced him.’ The film then shows Michael and Brett together on tour. Thus, the insinuation.” Barnes testified at Michael Jackson’s criminal trial in 2005 and said he was never assaulted by him. He also tweeted this in January. Not only do we have to deal with these lies, but we’ve also got to deal with people perpetuating these lies. The fact that they fail to do the small amount of research it takes to prove these are lies, by choice or not, makes it even worse. — Brett Barnes (@IAmBrettBarnes) January 30, 2019 Michael Jackson was acquitted of all charges. L egendary basketball player Lisa Leslie has broken several barriers for women in the realm of sports. The California native will be recognized in a major way for all of her accomplishments. According to Bleacher Report , she will be honored with a statue outside of the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Lisa Leslie will be honored at the Staples Center with a statue next to some of the greatest players in Lakers history https://t.co/bEYQbfV26V — Sports Illustrated (@SInow) September 5, 2019 The addition of the statue is historic as it will mark the first time that a woman athlete will have a sculpture outside of the arena. It’s undeniable that Leslie is a basketball trailblazer. She was a part of the inaugural WNBA season in 1997. During her career in the league—which lasted 12 years—she hit several milestones. Leslie was the first woman to dunk in a WNBA game and became the first player in the league to reach 6,000 career points. She has two WNBA championship titles under her belt and was named league MVP three times. She also has four Olympic gold medals. Leslie joins a prominent list of other legendary athletes who have been honored with statues outside of the Staples Center including Shaquille O’Neal , Magic Johnson , and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar . There is no word on when the statue will be unveiled. Leslie—who coaches a team in the Big3 league—says that her career moves have always been about opening doors for women in male-dominated spaces. “I always understood and respected the women who came before me. I love the fact that we have so many pioneers of the game and they get to still be a part of it,” she told Hoops Hype in an interview. “I’m always cognizant that we’re connected by a thread. And we all know what we’re capable of doing and we appreciate the opportunity to knock down doors and open doors for the other women who are coming in behind us.” News about Leslie’s statue comes shortly after a sculpture of the late legendary tennis player Althea Gibson was unveiled outside of Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York during the U.S. Open tennis tournament. After noticing a spike in the number of individuals who wanted to major in STEM, school officials decided that they needed to create more outlets to support the women in their journeys. The funds will go towards academic and professional development initiatives as well as a “Women in STEM” speaker series. “The Center aligns with the College’s strategic priorities and ensures that our students are empowered and equipped to enter competitive STEM fields,” said Spelman President Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell . “We are honored to be awarded this grant, and to have the support of the Department of Defense in assisting Spelman in fulfilling its mission to diversify STEM.” This isn’t the only STEM-related project that the HBCU has worked on this year. In May, the college announced that they were teaming up with Booking.com for the creation of a scholarship fund designed to address the gender gap in the tech industry. There has been a major effort to expand STEM education programs at HBCUs. Earlier this year, Morgan State University won a three-year, $1.6 million Aerospace Workforce and Leadership Development Grant from the nonprofit Base 11 for the creation of a state-of-the-art rocketry lab and student rocketry team. Indya Moore’s Keepsake Earrings Honor The Black Trans Women Murdered This Year

Read more here:

Source: ANGELA WEISS / Getty Indya Moore has never lived their life with the mantra of “shut up and act” or “shut up and pose.” As an actress, model and trans person, they have always used their platform to raise awareness around the issues and violence Black trans women face . Thursday night was no different. On New York Fashion Week’s opening night at the Daily Front Row Fashion Media Awards, Moore used the red carpet as a call to action. There to accept the “Cover of the Year Award” for her historic Elle magazine cover earlier this year, she rocked a gorgeous red Oscar de la Renta gown, pairing them with long cascading Beads By Aree keepsake earrings that paid homage to 16 Black trans murdered this year. Each gold frame held a picture of women including Jazzaline Ware , Ashanti Carmon , Muhlaysia Booker , and Michelle “Tamika” Washington to name a few. In addition, her clutch had a picture of 17-year-old Bailey Reeves . “ Thank you Aree, for sharing your keepsake earrings so I could bring my sister’s with me tonight,” the 24-year-old Louis Vuitton spokesperson wrote on Instagram.  According to W , during her speech, Moore told the crowd, “As you all know, or not, I am Black, and I am trans. Right now the Supreme Court [is] voting on whether or not trans people can access employment, shelter, and healthcare in the same ways that you all have access,” making it a difficult time, they added, “to celebrate being celebrated for being myself.” View this post on Instagram Thank you Aree, for sharing your keepsake earings so I could bring my sister's with me tonight. Just Like me these women dare to exhaust their freedom to exist by being visible, however, instead of being celebrated, they were punished for it. A life that requires bravery is not free. I accept this award in honor of the truth that The best award and the award we all deserve is to be able to get home safe. NFL, Roc Nation Will Donate $400K To Chicago Youth Programs, Meek Mill, Rapsody & Vic Mensa Will Visit

Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz JAY-Z has been catching heat following the announcement of his partnership with the NFL. Many were quick to try and cancel Hova without letting things pan out. Slowly but surely, we are learning what Roc Nation’s involvement with the NFL’s Inspire Change initiative will bring starting with Chicago’s youth. According to TMZ , sources close to the NFL revealed the league will be donating $400,000 to 2 Chicago groups that give at-risk youth alternatives to gangs and gun violence. Meek Mill, Meghan Trainor as well as Rapsody and Vic Mensa will be visiting both of the programs that were handpicked and vetted by Roc Nation. Per TMZ : One of the groups is  BBF (Better Boys Foundation) Family Services — which, we’re told, Vic and Rapsody will visit Wednesday. Founded in the 1960s … BBF says it provides education, employment, and youth services, as well as family health programs to more than 400 families. The other group,  Crusher’s Club , says its mission is to help Chicago kids “restore their lives and improve their neighborhoods.” Meghan and Meek will be at Crusher’s on Thursday … ahead of their NFL Kickoff concert. As we reported, Meek and Meghan came on board, not just to perform the NFL Kickoff concert, but as  advocates for Inspire Change  — the league’s arm to support player and team efforts to focus on education, police and community relation and criminal justice reform. According to the celebrity gossip site, Chicago will serve as the “prototype” for future philanthropic endeavors with the NFL, Roc Nation, and Players Coalition continuing to do the same in every NFL city. Looks it’s more than just “merch” and concerts being pushed in the name of social justice. Does this change your view on Jigga man’s deal with the NFL? Or is he still on the cancellation block? Let us know in the comment section below. — Photo: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz

Eddie Murphy to Tour in 2020, Netflix Special to Follow

Follow this link:

Source: Emma McIntyre / Getty A couple months ago, Eddie Murphy revealed he was in negotiations with Netflix for a $70 million stand-up special. The legendary comic had zero shows planned when the news broke, but would later reveal that things wouldn’t remain that way much longer. Murphy discussed hosting Saturday Night Live on Netflix’s  Present Company with Krista Smith  this coming December when he tried to casually drop that he was going on tour. “And then next year in 2020 I’m going to go on the road and do some stand-up,” he explained. It remains to be seen if the tour will be taped specifically for a Netflix special, but we can expect the special to come sometime after his tour. Eddie Murphy was a frequent cast member on SNL , but it was his epic stand-up specials that gained him a lot of his notoriety, and ultimately legend status. With a stand-up tour appearing to be on the horizon, along with a return to SNL , Murphy looks to be primed and ready for a comeback to revitalize his legendary comedy career. Possibly even more exciting is the long-awaited Coming to America  sequel, which will see Murphy and Arsenio Hall both reprising their roles from the 1988 comedy classic.  Coming 2 America is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2020.
