China’s One Dog Policy

World’s most populous nation China has tremendously reduced its population by 400 million. China’s “One Child Policy” was established by leader Deng Xiaoping in 1979 to limit population growth. This year is the eleventh year since the policy was erected.  The government was pleased with the result thus they have created another “One Dog Policy”. One-dog policy is a policy implemented in 2006, restricting residents of Beijing, China to one dog per family. It also prohibits families from raising large (over 14 in or 35.5 cm tall) or ferocious dogs. Only three percent of dogs are vaccinated in China.  Many people die due to rabies. Beijing announced a one dog per household in nine zones throughout the city. Anyone with more than one dog will be clubbed along with the dog. Non-dog owners seem to be in favor of the move. Filipina singer Charice zooms to No. 8 on Billboard 200

18 year old Filipina singer, Charice Pempengco enters the Billboard 200 Albums at No. 8, after selling 43,000 copies of her self titled US debut album.  The 18 year old vocal powerhouse visited both “ The Oprah Winfrey Show ” and QVC last week. Known as simply Charice, this singing sensation made her recording debut in 2008 after becoming a YouTube hit. Since then, she has performed with Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli and David Foster, who has taken the young lady under his wing. Charice’s No. 8 debut on the Billboard 200 Albums is the first ever for a solo Filipino artist.  The first cut off the album, “Pyramid feat. Iyaz” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Songs. Kate Moss’ Pictures Are Worth £30,000

British supermodel Kate Moss nude pictures value could reach as much as £30,000 when they are auctioned off on Friday. The black and white photographs taken in 1993, in Marrakech, Morocco. It was the time when Moss was shooting to fame as a 19-year-old. Scottish fashion photographer Albert Watson took the pictures which are now being sold as a “contact sheet” mounted on aluminium at Christies. A photography expert from the auction house, Alexander Montague-Sparey, said: “Albert Watson is a famed photographer. “He is known for his work in black and white and these photographs have a golden quality to them which makes them very attractive. “There is a contact sheet with 14 photographs and they are very large for contact sheet photos. “There was another print from this shoot which was enlarged and sold for £50,000. “The photographs are like looking through a keyhole into an intimate moment and they draw you in. “There is an intimacy between the photographer and his muse. 11-Foot Giant Oarfish Found Dead Along Western Coast Of Sweden

In a small fishing village Bovallstrand in western coast of Sweden, a passerby  found a giant herring that measures 11.4 feet long. The giant fish is known for its name oarfish which can grow from 8 meters up to 17 meters long.  The scientific name is regalecus glesne. The maritime museum said that it took 130 years to see that kind of specie again in their coast. Passerby Kurt Ove Eriksson said, “Down at the water, there was something big floating. At first we thought it was a big piece of plastic. But then we saw an eye. I went down to check and saw that it was this extremely strange fish,” , told daily Svenska Dagbladet. “The last time we saw a King of Herrings in Sweden was in 1879,” the House of the Sea museum in Lysekil, where the fish was taken to, said in a statement. “We don’t know much about the species,” it said, “but believe it lives in deep waters, at least 1000 meters (3280 feet) deep, and many believe it’s at the origin of the sea serpent myth,” or stories of mythological sea creatures like the Loch Ness Monster. Finally, after weeks upon weeks of waiting, the Tonya Craft verdict has been released. The national media was in place at Catoosa County Courthouse for the official  Tonya Craft verdict . Since she has been accused, Craft has lost her job. Supporters of  Tonya Craft are speaking out as both sides anxiously await a  verdict today in the five-week trial of the former northwest Georgia elementary school teacher accused of molesting three young girls. Some think  Tonya’s supporters manipulated public opinion and the media to get her off. Despite the  verdict ,  Tonya will never be able to recover her reputation.
