Cop Who Killed Unarmed 33-Year-Old Black Man In ‘Cold Blood’ Acquitted Of Manslaughter Charges

W hile some people were celebrating that Amber Guyger was convicted of murdering Botham Jean in Dallas, Texas on Sept. 6 2018, there was another injustice happening in Georgia. Former police Zechariah Presley was acquitted of voluntary manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of unarmed Black man Tony Green . He was only 33. SEE ALSO: Complaint Filed Against Judge Tammy Kemp For ‘Unconstitutional’ Behavior After Amber Guyger Sentencing According to the Associated Press , Pastor Mack De’Von Knight, whose church Green attended, said outside of the courthouse, “He admitted that he killed Tony Green in cold blood, To me, it’s hunting season for the young Black man and we’re being gunned down in the streets and there’s no repercussions, there’s no consequences for these officers.” Presley said he followed Green’s car on the night of On the evening of June 20, 2018, Presley was reportedly following Green’s car because he believed he was driving with a suspended license. According to “dash camera video showed Green drive the car off the road, then open the door and run. He briefly returned to the vehicle to grab an unseen object, then fled again.” Presley chased Green on foot, the two struggled, which could not be be seen on camera. Green was then shot eight times. The AP also reported, “On the witness stand Wednesday, Presley added details he had not mentioned previously. He said he opened fire after Green turned back to face him and extended an arm, saying he feared Green had a gun. Investigators determined the object in his hand was a cellphone.” Prosecutor Rocky Bridges slammed this new account in the closing argument, saying, “He made a fatal mistake and it was a mistake that cost a man his life. You don’t have to like Tony Green. … He ran from the police, not a good decision. But he was not armed. He did not turn on officer Presley. He did not deserve to die.” Nonetheless, he was acquitted of manslaughter charges. However, the jury did find Zechariah Presley guilty of violating his oath of office. He faces a prison term of one to five years and will be sentenced Oct. 18. Rest in power to Tony Green. View this post on Instagram Ex-Officer #NotGuilty of #Manslaughter in #Georgia Shooting Associated Press • Oct. 6, 2019, at 2:28 a.m. #WOODBINEGa. (AP) — A former Georgia police officer who fatally shot a fleeing, #unarmedblackman was #acquitted Saturday of #voluntarymanslaughter and #involuntary/manslaughter. The jury, however, found #ZechariahPresley guilty of violating his oath of office in the 2018 shooting of #TonyGreen, 33, in coastal #CamdenCounty near the Georgia-Florida state line. Presley was ordered to be jailed pending sentencing Oct. 18. He faces a prison term of one to five years. Presley sat silently at the defense table. Green's relatives wiped away tears after the verdict was read. Pastor Mack De'Von Knight, whose church Green attended, denounced the acquittals outside the courthouse, saying the evidence was “open and shut.” “He admitted that he killed Tony Green in cold blood,” Knight said. “To me, it's hunting season for the young black man and we're being gunned down in the streets and there's no repercussions, there's no consequences for these officers.” Though Presley's body camera recorded his fatal encounter with Green, darkness and something covering the camera lens obscured the shooting and the moments leading up to it. That left the jury to weigh Presley's court testimony recalling what had occurred with a sometimes conflicting account by prosecutors and investigators. Presley said he followed Green's car on the night of June 20, 2018, because he believed Green was driving with a suspended license. Dash camera video showed Green drive the car off the road, then open the door and run. He briefly returned to the vehicle to grab an unseen object, then fled again. Presley chased Green on foot down a darkened street. A short struggle followed that's not visible on the video. The recording picked up the electrified clicking sound from Presley's Taser, followed by eight gunshots. Another officer arrives afterward to find Presley lying on the ground. Presley says Green had been on top of him, trying to grab his Taser. Presley then says: “And then I was going for my gun, and he started taking off. And I fired.” A post shared by Chris Bird (@bigbirddirector) on Oct 7, 2019 at 3:38pm PDT SEE ALSO: Some No Name, Pitchy R&B Singer Disrespected Keith Sweat And Gets Demolished On Twitter Outrageous! AWOL Dog: DMX Ditched His Def Jam 35th Anniversary Party Performance

Just when it seemed like DMX had finally conquered his demons and things for him were on the up and up, the Hip-Hop OG pulled out of Def Jam’s 35th Anniversary party at the last second without giving anyone a heads up. Page Six is reporting that Dark Man X was slated to perform at the commemoration event for the label this past weekend at Villain in Williamsburg, Brooklyn when he was suddenly a no show for what was said to be “personal reasons.” Luckily for everyone in attendance fellow Ruff Ryder Jadakiss and Brooklyn’s own Fabolous saved the party by taking to the stage and performing “We Gonna Make It” and “Breathe” for the crowd of 750 which included the likes of 2 Chainz, Teyana Taylor and Slick Rick. Ever since getting out of prison for the umpteen time, a visibly healthier DMX has been keeping himself busy doing shows , making music and filming movies , but when something like this happens fans automatically fear a possible relapse of substance abuse. Hopefully that isn’t the case and it really was something else that he had to attend to.

University of Kansas Apologizes For Sexually Suggestive Snoop Dogg Performance

Source: Gary Miller / Getty Someone has some serious explaining to do if they haven’t done so already. The University of Kansas is apologizing for a very sexually suggestive performance featuring Hip-Hop legend Snoop Dogg at its late-night event. This was definitely not a good idea. While Snoop Dogg performed his hits, stripper poles were wheeled out on Allen Fieldhouse floor, and fake money fell out of the sky on the heads of recruits. Snoop Dogg had pole dancers at his University of Kansas show, A FAMILY EVENT pic.twitter.com/1vNdzIMzpW — Too Lit Concerts (@TooLitConcerts) October 7, 2019 Oh, and we can’t forget the Snoop Dogg mascot with a giant fake blunt in his mouth as well. Such an outrageous photo. pic.twitter.com/xorqGGMF8h — Ryan (@RRinehart2012) October 5, 2019 Jeff Long, the Athletic Director at the University of Kansas, said on Friday night (Oct.4) that “we expected a clean version of the show.” Clearly, that was not the case at all, and somewhere down the line, there was a miscommunication because what they got was an R-rated experience fresh off the Up In Smoke Tour. Add this mess to the high-level NCAA infractions the University of Kansas is facing for sketchy recruiting tactics. Long took full responsibility for the risque show and added in a statement: “We made it clear to the entertainers’ managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening, to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for his show. I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended.” He closed things out by saying: “We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short of that this evening.” The University of Kansas’ Late Night event is a traditional event and has taken place for 35 years.  It traditionally started out as a scrimmage to celebrate the return of the college basketball season before turning into a full-on entertainment spectacle. Uncle Snoop has not been the only Hip-Hop act to perform either, 2 Chainz , Lil Yachty and Tech N9ne also have performed at the family-friendly event. This was just a whole ass mess, we expect there to be some repercussions for it. — Photo: Gary Miller / Getty

MODEL MONDAY: Tazah Richardson Is Liberated, Living Her Best Life, And Looking Out For Black Girls

Source: Kia Caldwell / Kia Caldwell Name: Tazah Richardson IG: @tazahthemodelvixen Agency: Van Zandt Management Claim To Fame: Tazah Richardson went from staring at models in store windows to showing up on the cover of Model World Magazine.  Growing up as a plus-size child with slight difficulties learning in Northwest D.C. Tazah Richardson was faced with judgement everywhere she turned. Everything from her academic performance to her address was criticized by the people around her, with her size being the primary offender. She told HelloBeautiful how the constant judgement impacted her and how she overcame it in an exclusive interview.  “I had really low self-esteem. As a kid I stayed back in the first grade, and I was much bigger than all the other kids. In the second grade I was bigger than my second grade teacher which was super weird and I got teased a lot. As a kid I didn’t have very many friends .”  The children in her life weren’t the only ones who hurled negative comments at Richardson. As she navigated her childhood in a neighborhood considered “the ghetto ,” she encountered the effects of an educational system padded by those without a genuine interest in encouraging children.  View this post on Instagram Nothing to see here just me crushing on myself as usual #WCW : @kiacaldwellphoto : #MUATazah . . . #ModelTazah #FaceOfNCD #PlusModel #CurveModel #CurvyModel #SizeSexy #FreelanceModel #InternationalModel #PrintModel #RunwayModel #CoverModel #DMVModel #HonorYourCurves #CelebrateMySize #GoldenConfidence #CurvesNStyle #PMMModelSearch #PMMModelSpotlight #PMMLoveMyBody #BigHairDontCare #Portfolio #NewWork #CurvyBombshell #WithTheseCurves A post shared by Tazah Richardson (@tazahthemodelvixen) on Aug 28, 2019 at 7:53am PDT When she went to inquire about joining the band in middle school she was slammed by the leader immediately.  “I’ll never forget it. My mom was in the band, my dad was in the band, my mom was a majorette so I already knew how to twirl. I could twirl circles around the girls and when I went to her to ask her about being in the band she said ‘I got four words for you baby. Can’t fit the uniform.’ That crushed me.”   “I was told I was too big in junior high school and high school even though I could dance just as good as the other girls. I could twirl the baton just as good as the other girls. I was never given an opportunity they told me I could play the clarinet.” The cruelty she was faced with actually had a bright side. “So I played clarinet and it got me to college .” View this post on Instagram 5 months ago a piece of me died. Cardi B Goes Off On ‘Access Hollywood’: “I Hope Your F*ckin’ Mom Catches AIDS”

Source: Stephane Cardinale – Corbis / Getty Cardi B has become known for her fiery personality along with her hit songs, and that passion was on display recently. After an interview with Access Hollywood aired, the Invasion Of Privacy superstar was angry at the outlet over twisting words she said about her baby daughter Kulture and it got pretty intense. As reported by THR , Cardi took umbrage with Access Hollywood ‘s titling of the interview where the headline apparently read to suggest that baby Kulture has been calling someone else mommy because Cardi is pulled in so many different directions. However, Cardi explained in her explosive response via IG Live on Thursday that she is serious about her momma duties. From THR : The rapper, mother to daughter Kulture with rapper beau Offset, hopped on Instagram Thursday to share her frustration with 51 million followers in what turned out to be an explosive, expletive-filled rant aimed at Access Hollywood and the editorial decision to allegedly “chop up” her words for “clickbait.” Cardi also threatened to spit at Access — while also mimicking the insult — and, in the rant’s most shocking moment, said this: “Access Hollywood, suck my whole d*ck. Suck a d*ck, I hope your f*cking mom catch AIDS, b*tch.” Cardi shared that she gave a much longer answer about her busy life and how she forgoes a lot of her responsibilities to make sure she has quality time with 1-year-old Kulture. In so many words, Cardi was saying that she works diligently to avoid having a babysitter spend time watching over her daughter that she should be doing. Cardi was on the set of Access Hollywood as part of a press run for the Netflix series, Rhythm + Flow . She also mentioned via her Twitter account that she’ll be taking another break from social media as this latest dustup saw Cardi taking some flack from Internet strangers.
