Literally flawless! View this post on Instagram Making her regal debut as the star of the second of #BritishVogue’s two December covers is @LizzoBeeating. More than a musician, Lizzo is a movement. Her messages of power, positivity and self-love have earned her a cult following of millions around the world. A post shared by British Vogue (@britishvogue) on Nov 7, 2019 at 8:56am PST   The “Cuz I Love You” singer opened up in the interview, speaking candidly about a range of topics including how anxiety fuels her as a performer. “When I get really, really anxious before a show, I just go harder and harder and harder when I’m performing and I just go crazy,” she says. “I don’t know why, but my anxiety sometimes fuels who I am as a performer and who I am as an artist – and I know that is not the case for everyone. I don’t know if my body just, like, out of a desperate need to find a place for my anxiety or find a use for it, takes it and puts it there,” the Houston-raised rapper admitted.   View this post on Instagram “I want you to know that if you can love me, you can love your goddamn self.” Born in Detroit to a religious family and raised in Texas, Melissa Jefferson, a.k.a. A post shared by British Vogue (@britishvogue) on Nov 7, 2019 at 9:16am PST   On the lack of plus-sized representation in pop culture growing up: “I would watch things on television and I would look at magazines and I would not see myself. When you don’t see yourself, you start to think something’s wrong with you. Then you want to look like those things and when you realize it’s a physical impossibility, you start to think, ‘What the f**k is wrong with me?’ I think that took a greater toll on me, psychologically, growing up than what anyone could have said to me.”   View this post on Instagram “I’m not trying to sell you me, I’m trying to sell you, you.” In today’s image-obsessed age, @LizzoBeeating is a megawatt beacon of self-assurance – so utterly herself that it is impossible for it not to rub off on you. A post shared by British Vogue (@britishvogue) on Nov 7, 2019 at 10:02am PST   On people ( perhaps Azaelia Banks ) who believe Lizzo is using body positivity to gain popularity, Lizzo had this to say: “Anybody that uses body positivity to sell something is using it for their personal gain. That’s just it. We weren’t selling anything in the beginning. We were just selling ourselves and selling ourselves on the idea – selling ourselves on ourselves, you know? I’m not trying to sell you me. I’m trying to sell you, you.” LOVE IT! You better tell ’em! In an accompanying video, Lizzo keeps it 100 about her “first acts,” which she shared that she was hungover shooting her Vogue cover, that her first memories of music were gospel music and the first album she ever bought was Destiny Child’s “Survivor.” Take a look: Congrats Lizzo! Whitney’s BFF Robyn Crawford Breaks Silence on Love Affair!

Source: Larry Busacca / Getty There has been speculation for years about the relationship between Whitney Houston and best friend Robyn Crawford. Well, Robyn is putting an end to all of the rumors in her new memoir, titled, “ A Song For You: My Life with Whitney Houston .” In the memoir, she speaks of the intimate side of their relationship. Check out an excerpt from the book below.   According to People Magazine, Crawford wrote in the book: From the moment Crawford, then 19, first saw Whitney (then almost 17) in 1980 when they were both counselors at an East Orange, New Jersey summer camp, she told her, “I’m going to look out for you.” And that’s exactly what she did for the next two decades as Whitney became a global superstar. “We wanted to be together,” says Crawford, “and that meant just us.” Whitney ended the physical part of their relationship early on, soon after she signed a record deal with Clive Davis at Arista. The singer broke the news by giving Crawford a gift of a slate blue Bible one day in 1982. “She said we shouldn’t be physical anymore,” writes Crawford, “because it would make our journey even more difficult.” “She said if people find out about us, they would use this against us,” says Crawford, “and back in the ’80s that’s how it felt.” And so, she says, “I kept it safe. I found comfort in my silence.” There was also pressure from Whitney’s family, including her mother gospel singer Cissy Houston. “Whitney told me her mother said it wasn’t natural for two women to be that close,” says Crawford, “but we were that close.” Their closeness spawned relentless speculation about Whitney’s sexuality for many years. “We never talked about labels, like lesbian or gay,” writes Crawford. “We just lived our lives and I hoped it could go on that way forever.” Crawford went on to say, “Whitney knows I loved her and I know she loved me,” says Crawford. “We really meant everything to each other. We vowed to stand by each other.”   Crawford is now a fitness trainer and lives with her partner, talent agency executive Lisa Hintlemann, with whom she adopted two children. Your Thoughts?

Megan Thee Stallion Lets Loose Legal Team On Her Make Up Artist

Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz Meg Thee Stallion has a clear understanding how valuable her brand is. So much so she might have to put one of her former associates in legal check. TMZ is reporting that the Rap bombshell is flexing her legal muscle against ex or soon to be ex make up artist. Last month Akil McCoy took to social media to make sure the Houston native put some respeck on his face game. On October 22 she posted a clip from her  Vogue feature with footage of her using an eyebrow brush. Clearly he felt snub and commented “Make Up Akilaface”. According to the story “The Big Ole Freak” rapper’s lawyer sent McCoy a cease and desist request. Apparently the letter stated that he is violating his non disclosure agreement by discussing his work with Megan. The celebrity website also suggests that if Akil continues to speak openly about their working relationship, even if the commentary is positive, he will be taken to court. You can view their original exchange on Instagram that sparked the feud below. View this post on Instagram #PressPlay: Oop!! #MeganTheeStallion and her makeup artist get into it real quick!! Jay-Z’s ‘Fade to Black’ Doc Is Finally Available on TIDAL

Source: James Devaney / Getty You’d think one of the first things Jay-Z would do when TIDAL came about was add his cult classic concert documentary Fade To Black to the visual library, but you’d be wrong. Luckily he’s finally decided to let his OG fans re-experience the 15-year-old film while letting new millennial fans get a better understanding on why he’s the G.O.A.T to so many of us. According to Hypebeast , Jay-Z’s “farewell” concert documentary will finally be available for streaming for TIDAL subscribers four years after Jay-Z’s Project Panther Bidco Ltd acquired the streaming service. Originally released in 2004, Fade To Black was a behind the scenes concert documentary that followed Jay-Z throughout his creative process during what was supposed to be his swan song LP, The Black Album , and his farewell concert at Madison Square Garden. Featuring appearances from timeless artists like Missy Elliott, P. Diddy and of course, Beyoncé, the film was everything Jay-Z fans could’ve asked for at the time it dropped. Naturally, we all know that Jay-Z didn’t retire like planned after the release of the album and the documentary, and for that we’re grateful. Still, it was a great piece of work from directors Patrick Paulson Michael and John Warren and will forever be a piece of music history. Are you excited about watching Fade To Black on TIDAL? Let us know.

TRIED IT: This Shea Moisture Rehydration Treatment Masque Is Exactly What Your Hair Needs As The Temperature Drops

Naturalistas : it’s not enough just to shampoo and condition your hair. At least once every 10 days, you should invest the time to give your hair a mask. A hair mask helps replenish your hair and depending on the one you use, can bring your hair back to life. As the temperature drops, haircare for natural girls needs to be turned up. During Winter, your hair suffers from dryness, which can lead to breakage. You’ll want to keep your hair extra hydrated. And while you can add leave-in conditioners, shampoo and condition with products that use honey (honey is a humectant and helps lock in moisture), you can also use a mask that will help with moisture retention. Source: Shea Moisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Rehydration Treatment Masque / Courtesy of Shea Moisture My new favorite hair mask is the Shea Moisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Rehydration Treatment Masque with Coconut Milk and Acacia Senegal ($12.99, sallybeauty.com ). I’ve used this hair mask twice as I write this and I am sold. I feel that a lot of products you have to wait a few weeks for results, not with this rehydration mask! I saw results after my first wash. I put the product in my hair and instantly my curl pattern took a liking to it. I can tell when my curl pattern really starts to show up and show out that my hair is feeling the product. Source: Shea Moisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Rehydration Treatment Masque / Courtesy of Shea Moisture I left this in for about 45 minutes; however, it says to leave this product on your hair for 5 minutes and focus on mid-length strands and your ends (hint: not your scalp). I shampoo’d my hair, conditioned it, then used this product. After I washed it out, I shampoo’d again and conditioned. I stepped out of the shower and didn’t notice that my hair looked shinier and healthier. However, it wasn’t until I unraveled my twists the very next day that I noticed my hair had a whole new life. My hair was hella hydrated and shiny and just looked overall healthy. Why did this product work so well? It has coconut oil and shea oils. Coconut oil is known to add luster and shine to hair in addition to moisture. Shea oils will strengthen your hair and promote growth. Coconut milk also promotes hair growth while the Acacia Senegal will bring vibrancy back to your hair. I was instantly obsessed. Source: Danielle James / Courtesy of Danielle James The next weekend, I tried this product again. This time, I left the conditioner on for over 24 hours (more = better, right?!). The minute I put my hand in my hair (with the product still in it), I noticed how soft my hair felt. Source: Danielle James / Courtesy of Danielle James Leaving it on for 24 hours, some of the product had solidified in my hair but most of it was melted in. I was impressed and happy. I hopped in the shower and washed it out, conditioned and then set out to twist my hair. I decided against using shampoo because I wanted some of the goodness to stay in my hair, so I just rinsed really, really well. Source: Danielle James / Courtesy of Danielle James I untwisted my hair the next day and was SO happy! It was soft, looked healthy, and the definition of my curls were popping. This is undoubtedly going to become a regular in my hair regimen. It just feels and looks fuller and like the moisture really retained. Beauties, have you used Shea Moisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Rehydration Treatment Masque with Coconut Milk and Acacia Senegal? Have you noticed a difference in your hair? I want to hear from you! Washington Nationals’ Kurt Suzuki Rocks MAGA Hat At The White House

Source: OLIVIER DOULIERY / Getty Donald Trump might’ve gotten hit with the universal boo’s and “Lock him up” chants from Washington fans during game 5 of the World Series in DC, but the divider-in-chief still has a MAGA supporter in Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki. Just a few days after Nationals relief pitcher Sean Dolittle told the Washington Post he wouldn’t be joining his World Series Champion team during their visit to the White House due to Donald Trump’s racist rhetoric, Suzuki wasn’t only all smiles during his appearance at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but he jumped out the window by donning the new era Klansman hood, a Make America Great Again hat. How people of color continue to promote this f*ckery is beyond us, but the Hawaiian born MLB player is obviously unaware of the danger he’d be in if he were ever to find himself in deep red Trump country just based off the color of his skin and his immigrant-ish features. Donald Trump was all too happy to find a public supporter of color on the championship team and proceeded to embrace him from behind, possibly dredging up painful memories for the more than a dozen women who’ve accused the “Grab them by the pu**sy” motto man of sexual assault. “I love you all! Thank you!” Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki walks up to a microphone outside the White House and whips out a #MAGA hat. Check out @realDonaldTrump 's reaction: pic.twitter.com/PdR8wFnfN8 — Washington Examiner (@dcexaminer) November 4, 2019 But Suzuki wasn’t the only star player to offer Trump his support as OG Nationals star Ryan Zimmerman thanked the divisive fearmonger for “keeping everyone here safe in our country continuing to make America the greatest country to live in the world.” Canceled aaaannnnd canceled. Though most of the team attended the White House celebration, 8 players declined the invite including the aforementioned Dolittle, Anthony Rendon and Javy Guerra amongst others. Don’t be surprised if “treason” charges are brought against them for not publicly kissing the leader’s ring or something.
