Chicago PD spokesperson Anthony Gugleilmi revealed on Twitter that the 36-year-old Empire actor is now officially classified as a suspect for filing a false police report. The crime is a class 4 felony and detectives are delivering evidence before a grand jury in Chicago. Misinformation Warfare Against Democratic Candidates For President Begin, Again

The Russians are back! Well, we guess they never left if you count Agent Orange and his gang of hate , but according to data scientists it seems like “foreign actors” have taken to social media to once again spread misinformation campaigns about your favorite Democratic 2020 candidate. Politico  is reporting that top Presidential candidates Kamala Harris, Beto O’Rourke, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren are the targets in misinformation campaigns that include memes, hashtags, and “distortions of their positions.” Why? Because these social media distorters want to divide the democratic vote if not all together discourage people from voting for anyone not named Donald Trump in the coming 2020 election. “It looks like the 2020 presidential primary is going to be the next battleground to divide and confuse Americans,” said Brett Horvath, one of the founders of Guardians.ai, a tech company that works with a consortium of data scientists, academics and technologists to disrupt cyberattacks and protect pro-democracy groups from information warfare. “As it relates to information warfare in the 2020 cycle, we’re not on the verge of it — we’re already in the third inning.” Though it seems like the average person would be able to see through such tactics, Hillary Clinton knows all too well that this is an effective method as Evangelical Christians are convinced that Jesus Christ wanted Donald Trump to be President while Satan was rooting for Hillary Clinton. That’s not even a joke. That was a popular meme amongst the religious right that had Russian origins according to investigators last year. Now that Donald Trump’s popularity is in the gutter and his chances of re-election are slipping through his grabby fingers, foreign actors have once again taken to the internet to slander any and everyone that poses the biggest threat to his “Presidency.” Unfortunately people still fall for the jig and chances are they’ll continue to do so for the foreseeable future. “Moderates and centrists and Democratic candidates still don’t understand what happened in 2016, and they didn’t realize, like Hillary Clinton, that she wasn’t just running a presidential campaign, she was involved in a global information war,” Horvath said. “Democratic candidates and presidential candidates in the center and on the right who don’t understand that aren’t just going to have a difficult campaign, they’re going to allow their campaign to be an unwitting amplifier of someone else’s attempts to further divide Americans.” Stay woke, y’all.

Today we’re going to talk about a topic that impacts more women and families than we think. When we think about the injustices in prison industrial system, Black men are often the first, and only topic of discussion. But Black women are suffering too—and not just because her ‘boo’ is locked up. March is women’s month, and here at LTBW we really wanted to think about how we can best support all Black women. That lead us to think about a population we don’t often discuss—in fact, no one really talks about them—Black women in prison! According the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, Black men accounted for 37 percent of the total prison population—we talk about this a lot. But Black women account for about 22 percent! To give context, we are about 14 percent of the population. This is a staggering number. Imprisonment devastates individual lives, households and communities. Get into this week’s episode, above. Dennis Smith Jr. & Under Armour Bless Fayetville, NC With Some Newly Refurbished Basketball Courts

Source: Under Armour / Under Armour The New York Knick’s Dennis Smith Jr . might’ve struck out at the 2019 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, but the hoopers in his old stomping grounds of Fayetteville, NC were still winners at the end of NBA All-Star Weekend. In conjunction with Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation, Dennis Smith Jr. and Under Armour went to DSJ’s hometown and treated the city to a carnival-style celebration as part of the unveiling of two refurbished basketball courts at the Smith Recreation Center. Seabrook Park at Smith Recreation Center is where Dennis grew up learning and growing his unique brand of basketball. Countless hours spent on these courts molded Dennis into the athlete he’s become – in his never ending pursuit of getting better. Now, with Under Armour, Dennis has the opportunity to pay it back and pave a way forward for the next generation of Fayetteville dreamers, helping to completely refurbish and revitalize the two courts he grew up playing on. And now he’s made it possible for someone else from his old home to follow in his footsteps and make their way to the NBA. Much props to Dennis Smith Jr, Under Armour and the Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation for giving this to the community. Check out pics below. Daniel Kaluuya, Lakeith Stanfield In Talks To Star In Film Based On Black Panther Party’s Fred Hampton

Source: Christopher Polk / Getty Daniel Kaluuya  and  Lakeith Stanfield are currently in talks to star in  Jesus Was My Homeboy , a film about Black Panther Party leader  Fred Hampton . The film will be produced by  Ryan Coogler  and MACRO’s Charles D. King. The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Kaluuya, who had a star-marking turn for his role in 2017’s  Get Out would star as  Fred Hampton and Stanfield would star as  William O’neal , the man who betrayed Hampton to the FBI. Here’s the synopsis according to  Deadline : The film will follow the rise and untimely demise of Hampton as seen through O’Neal’s eyes. It will explore how the FBI infiltrated the Black Panthers, the psychology of their informant and the notorious assassination of the young political leader who died aged only 21. It’s a major story as Hampton quickly rose to the upper echelon of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party and eventually became the deputy chairman of the national organization. As he became more visible and charismatic in his speeches, he became a target of the FBI and was killed in a raid by Chicago police along with the FBI. Fellow Panther Mark Clark also died in the raid as the two men were sleeping. O’Neal, who gave the FBI the plans to Hampton’s Chicago apartment, died by suicide in 1990. One Twitter user brought attention to her consistency just in time for RiRi’s February 20 birthday. According to Teen Vogue , Shari, who goes by @ChipNudePolish on Twitter, prompted her followers to Google Image search Rihanna’s name and their birth date. She tweeted on Sunday, “Google Rihanna and your birthday to see which outfit you get.” Her tweet included an example for her own birthday with Rihanna wearing a lavender fringe dress on February 25 for the 2016 BRIT Awards. I loved seeing everyone’s outfits and responses!” Now that the Rihanna horoscope is in full swing, Shari is hoping the challenge might grab Rihanna’s attention. “I would probably FAINT! At this event several women from the Women’s Rehabilitation Center that are overcoming substance abuse as well as alcoholism attended. Johnson during her set shared with the congregation that she struggled with alcohol. She would drink every day and didn’t realize it had become a problem. One evening after heading home from the bar she was pulled over by the police and was arrested.
