On that said podcast, Budden once again said that he’d welcome a challenge from CyHi the Pyrnce and said he would end the G.O.O.D. Music artist’s career in the process. The beef between CyHi the Prynce and Joe Budden began when the podcast host took shots at the Atlanta rapper over his allegiance to Kanye West’s Summer 2018 album rollout that he was curiously missing from. Budden then egged on the beef in saying that a line CyHi spit in a promotional video that suggested that he should have been in Budden’s former Slaughterhouse crew and putting up $500,000 to challenge his rival was out of the No Dope On Sundays rapper’s budget. In last Saturday’s episode of The Joe Budden Podcast , Jumpoff Joey took off the Media Joe hat and got into his rapper bag for a bit, stating quite explicitly that CyHi doesn’t want the smoke, the beef, or the fixings with him on any level. In his response to co-host Mal suggesting that Budden might be ducking CyHi, Budden said he would shut down the podcast and get back in the booth to end the beef once and for all. Ever since it was rumored and then eventually confirmed that Travis Scott would be performing at halftime of Super Bowl LIII, the Mo. City rapper has been met with criticism on both sides, mainly due to the NFL’s treatment of exiled quarterback Colin Kaepernick . Kaepernick has been out of football for two seasons now as he was allegedly blacklisted for his on-field protest against police brutality. Some believe that Scott’s participation is a disrespectful motion to Kaepernick, Black Lives Matter and those who have effectively protested watching and attending NFL games for what has occurred to Kaepernick, sources say that Scott consulted with Kaepernick about his involvement with the Super Bowl halftime show. According to Variety : “A source close to Scott said that while the two did not necessarily agree, they emerged from the conversation with mutual respect and understanding.” The insider said that Scott defended his decision by insisting the show could allow more light to be shone on the cause of social justice. He reportedly refused to confirm his participation in the Feb. 3 performance unless the NFL donated $500,000 to a social justice cause of Scott’s choice. That cause wound up being Dream Corps, a nonprofit organization that specializes in social justice issues. “I back anyone who takes a stand for what they believe in,” Scott said when announcing his Super Bowl Halftime Show appearance. “I know being an artist that it’s in my power to inspire. So before confirming the Super Bowl Halftime performance, I made sure to partner with the NFL on this important donation. Source: Jim Spellman / Getty Alicia Keys Is Hosting The Grammy Awards This Year Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys is set to host the 2019 Grammy Awards. The singer made the exciting announcement via her very own YouTube channel on Tuesday morning. She will be the first female host of the show in 14 years. “I’m soooo EXCITED to announce that I’ll be hosting the 61st Annual Grammy Awards !! There’s so much in store and I CAN’T WAIT for y’all to see it ALL come to life ” she wrote in the caption of her video. Alicia Keys is only the fifth woman to ever host the Grammys in the show’s 61 year span, and on top of that, she’s only the third woman of color. This gig will also make the first woman to host the show in 14 years, following Queen Latifah in 2005, Rosie O’Donnell in 2000 and 1999, Ellen DeGeneres in 1997 and 1996, and Whoopi Goldberg in 1992. The choice to have a woman host this year is important for the show, especially after controversy during last year’s program. At last year’s Grammys, only six women were nominated in the show’s major categories, and Alessia Cara was the only woman to receive an award during the entire televised portion of the show. Along with the announcement of Keys as 2019’s host, 15 women are nominated in the top four categories this year, compared to only six in 2018. Congrats to Alicia Keys!

According to a new report, the rapper would like a Fix My Life “do-over” when he’s released from prison later this month and Vanzant is open to it. DMX appeared on Vanzant’s show back in 2013. When the life coach sat down with X and his son to try and discuss the rapper’s drug addiction , all hell broke loose. X ended up telling Vanzant to “shut the f*ck up” and more, later telling TMZ “Iyanla set the whole thing up to make me look bad for ratings,” adding, “That lady is toxic…my last words to her were that she can suck my d*ck and she still can.” But it looks like they may be able to work things out after all, as Vanzant says the altercation wasn’t all X’s fault. She told Page Six that X reached out recently. “The last thing I said to [him] was, ‘You will never have the opportunity to speak to me again.’ But that was before I realized that I failed him,” she told the publication. How exactly did she fail him? Vanzant also reportedly told Page Six, “I failed him by not following the Holy Spirit to do what I’m supposed to do. I did what [the show’s] production [team] wanted. Basically, Infinity is a foster child who hates the care she’s in and often runs away so Yandy decides to take her in. However, Jonathan makes the great point that if Yandy is fostering a minor without permission then she’s breaking the law. Hold that thought. Meanwhile, Safaree reveals that he signed a 7-figure deal with a sex toy company. They want to make a mold of his infamous anaconda . We’ve all seen it. Don’t act like you didn’t. Anyway, now people will get to experience it for themselves for about $100. Safaree’s issue is that people—aka Rich Dollaz and Papoose are telling him not to do it because people won’t take him seriously as an artist. Safari already signed the contract though. Too late. Remy Ma obliges Joe Budden’s request to chat with Cyn. Joe wants Remy to encourage Cyn to get help with her Postpartum depression because Remy dealt with it too, with her first son. They actually end up talking about how Cyn can create a schedule with Joe Budden so that they can spend more time together. Cyn meets with Joe later on and says Remy gave her new perspective. She shares her proposal for them to spend a Sunday every two weeks together and Joe gets even more frustrated because he wanted her to come up with a game plan for her postpartum depression situation. Cyn says she has been helping herself and doesn’t need to meet with doctors to get pills. Lordt. Nya Lee meets up with Sidney Starr to give her a makeover. You remember this is part of the whole artist development schtick. Sidney doesn’t take too kindly to her wardrobe being criticized because she says this is a sensitive topic for a transgender woman. Then Jacque comes through for more development and asks Sidney to kick some bars since Nya gave her some pointers. Sidney raps and bombs, but in her defense, she’s already upset by Nya’s makeover. IN the end, Nya tells Sidney she better get thicker skin and stop being ungrateful. Sidney sucks it up and actually tries on a dress Nya wanted her to try and she looks good. Finally, the episode concludes with Yandy’s foster runaway situation. Yandy found out from Infinity’s caseworker that she could get her own children taken away because what she’s doing is breaking the law. You have to go through a bureaucratic approval process for a child like Infinity to stay with you and Yandy didn’t do that. Now she has to tell Infinity that she has to leave for now, which is hard. Infinity obviously doesn’t take her well and breaks down in tears. But Yandy assures her that she’s not abandoning her and wants to figure things out. We know by now (thanks to #TheBlogs) that Yandy has adopted her. We’ll probably see that play out as the episodes progress. Let’s get back at it next.
