DAMN: A Now-Deleted Instagram Post May Have Revealed A New Kendrick Lamar Album Is Coming In 2019

Source: Joseph Okpako / Getty We Might Get A New Kendrick Album Sometime Next Year Kendrick Lamar  could have some new material coming sooner than we all think… During a recent interview with the  Los Angeles Times , Lamar debunked rumors that he was working on the follow-up to his 2017 masterpiece  DAMN.  “He claims he hasn’t been working on a new album, but says that he’s constantly working,” the interview mentions when speaking on potential new music from the star. But luckily for Kung Fu Kenny fans, the Compton native might actually have some new material releasing in 2019. As Pop Craze  points out, it looks like Polydor Records–which handles Interscope’s distribution in Europe–may have accidentally announced a 2019 K. Dot’s release. The label posted an Instagram story that named all the artists who were expected to drop projects in 2019, which included some pretty big acts like Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, Selena Gomez, Schoolboy Q, and Kendrick Lamar. Polydor Records, who distributes Interscope albums in Europe, revealed in a now-deleted Instagram story that the following artists are releasing albums in 2019: @LadyGaga , @CarlyRaeJepsen , @Madonna , @LanaDelRey , @ToveLo , @SelenaGomez , @KendrickLamar , @BillieEilish and many more! pic.twitter.com/xPSfYSPtTM — Pop Crave (@PopCrave) December 25, 2018 As we mentioned before, the post has since been deleted–which means that it either contained inaccurate information or it contained some information that wasn’t supposed to go public. And of course, the latter could mean new Kendrick. Rumors of a new Kendrick album have been swirling since about a week after the rapper dropped DAMN. in 2017. In September, Kenny’s TDE labelmate, Isaiah Rashad claimed he had heard the rapper’s forthcoming album, but a few days later, TDE head Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith announced that a Kendrick album wasn’t dropping anytime soon. All signs point to Kendrick not having a new album in the works….but we’ll go with the little glimmer of hope that he does have one in the stash instead. Continue reading →

Where’s Omarion? Moniece Slaughter Suggests Lil Fizz Is Smashing Apryl Jones To B2K Bits

Source: Tommaso Boddi/Greg Doherty/Robin L Marshall / Getty Moniece Slaughter & Apryl Jones Argue Over Lil  Fizz Moneice Slaughter sparked chatter about her baby daddy Lil Fizz and (the mother of Omarion ‘s kids) Apryl Jones dating over the holiday break, and it ended with the ladies hashing things out on a live stream. So how did this rumor start??? Under a photo of Moniece holding hands with a mystery man, fans questioned if it was Fizz. Moneice promptly fired back that it wasn’t possibly Fizz, because he was in Chicago “with Apryl and the kids.” Right away, fans took Moniece’s comment as she was exposing Fizz and Apryl for dating. This was especially spicy to folks because Fizz and Omarion are BOTH in the same band (B2K) and plan on touring together in 2019 ! Apryl denied the claim, calling her relationship with Fizz “platonic”. However, Moniece suggests the couple has been sneaky, only learning that they’ve been spending lots of time together because her son said he had been spending lots of time with Apryl’s kids — Fizz never even told her he was going to Chicago, she found out on facetime. She said: “I just wanted to let people know that it was impossible for it to be his hand because he was in Chicago with Apryl and the kids, my kid included. I don’t give a f*ck who he ends up with, as long as the b*tch keeps her hands off my kid, is nice to my kid and never speaks ill of me in front of my kid, I don’t give two sh*ts who she is.” Fast forward, the women took to IG live to hash things out and it was a complete mess! But luckily for us, it looks like that won’t be the case for long. In an Instagram post that the mogul shared on Friday, Rih gave her fans something to live for by responding to one of the many comments asking when to expect new music with a one-word answer. “2019,” she wrote. It was just earlier this week that Rihanna’s go-to vocal producer  Kuk Harrell said  that her currently untitled ninth studio album was sounding “amazing.” He also added, “It’s incredible, and that’s all I’m going to say.” Ms. Fenty definitely isn’t oblivious to the fact that her fans are looking for some new music in every nook and cranny. Back in September, Rih let us know that she would be releasing new material as she focused on her other interests. “Simultaneously doing lingerie, makeup, film, amongst a couple other things that I enjoy…When the music is ready, you won’t have to ask for it. But it’s coming.” And on top of the fact that we apparently get some new Rihanna music in 2019, that’s not the only project she has on the way. The makeup and music mogul recently appeared in the trailer for Donald Glover and Hiro Murai’s  Guava Island . C’mon Son: An Old Clip Of Chris Rock Encouraging Louis C.K. To Say The N-Word Has Twitter In A Tizzy

Charbonneau / Getty Chris Rock Is Getting Crucified Online For This Old Clip Chris Rock  was Twitter’s number one trending topic on Saturday night, but it’s not exactly something to be proud of. The comedian became the talk of Twitter and the internet as a whole after a 2011 clip of HBO’s  Talking Funny  resurfaced. In the video, Chris Rock is joined by fellow comedians Ricky Gervais, Louis C.K. and Jerry Seinfeld, who all end up discussing the use of the “N-word.” Things escalate quickly as both Gervais and C.K. start to casually throw around the racial slur without a care in the world, as Rock joins in and laughs along with them. C.K. responds by asking Rock, “You’re saying I’m a n****r?” “Yes,” Rock replies. “You are the n****r-est white man I have ever [met].” Gervais is clearly entertained by the whole exchange as Chris and Louis explode with laughter, but Seinfeld is visibly uncomfortable the entire time and ends up speaking out against the situation. After vocalizing that he doesn’t think Louis should say that word, Jerry said, “You’ve found the humor of it,” he says. “I haven’t — nor do I seek it.” As we mentioned before, this was the number one topic on Twitter this weekend, and the reactions were pretty unanimous: Jerry Seinfeld being the voice of reason while Chris Rock encourages his white peers to spew the N-word is absolutely insane. Seinfeld is still being praised while the 3 other comedians continue to be roasted relentlessly–especially Chris Rock. Lock Her Up: Matt Barnes Claims Gloria Govan Is A Habitual Violator Restraining Order, Wants Her Arrested

Source: David Livingston / Getty Matt Barnes Takes Gloria Govan To Court For Violating Restraining Order Things between Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan are U-G-L-Y and there is no need for an alibi as their dislike for one another is not obfuscated in any way, shape, or form. Despite a judge placing Govan under a restraining order, it doesn’t appear that Gloria has much respect for the order. According to The Blast, Matt Barnes is asking that his ex-wife be arrested for blatantly violating the ruling. Lawyers representing both sides took to court on Wednesday to make their case. Barnes’ lawyer stated that Gloria has made unlawful contact with the children 59 times via texts, FaceTimes and a football game appearance since she was banned from their presence. Matt also claims that Gloria is using a tracking app to keep tabs on the kids’ location. Inexplicable, Gloria’s lawyer argued that none of these things necessary constitute a violation of the judge’s order and wants the charges dismissed. Not sure how that works, but good luck with that. Seems like Gloria just needs to accept the fact that she played herself and needs to appear sane and non-hostile in order to potentially have the chance to regain some custody of her children. Source: CBS Photo Archive / Getty Former Employee Of The Ray Charles Foundation Claims She Was Fired For Exposing Fraud   According to The Blast , “The Ray Charles Foundation” is being sued by a former employee who claims she was axed go from the organization after she reported possible fraudulent transactions. Thu Tran reportedly worked as an accountant for the charitable organization beginning in 2014 until she was fired July 9, 2018. Tran claims in earlier this year, she complained to a member of the board of directors about “suspected misappropriate of funds, diversion of charitable assets, and other fraudulent conduct.” In her lawsuit she says she believed Valerie Ervin( president of the foundation) “had engaged in suspicious financial transactions related to a vehicle purchase, travel expenses, and home improvement, among others matters.” This is when Tran claims that Ervin “began to systematically strip away” her job duties and excluded her from board meeting she had previously attended regularly. Tran claims she was also kept out of “financial and tax audit meetings”. Tran believes that in “an effort to avoid unwanted attention and embarrassment of a possible investigation into misappropriation of funds and assets,” Ervin got rid of several employees of the foundation before ultimately firing her. Tran is suing the foundation and Ervin, claiming wrongful termination and other workplace-related violations. She is seeking unspecified damages.   Continue reading →
