The rapper received a $20,000 payday from Birdman, all from a little football bet. YG officially confirmed that his payment came in on his Twitter account on Friday. As you probably already know, The Rams are now set to make their way to the 2019 Super Bowl and play against the New England Patriots on February 3 in Atlanta. Since the Rams’ win earlier in the week, YG has been on social media very publicly demanding that the Cash Money Records CEO pay him his money. Many fans jokingly assumed that since Birdman took almost 10 years to pay his own signee Lil Wayne, he would probably take his sweet time paying YG what he’s owed. One grotesque line, in particular, has him lookin’ like the newest member of the Barnum & Bailey Circus: “I held Kim Kardashian by the throat, n****, I made her swallow my kids until she choked, n****” According to TMZ , people close to the ignorant Compton rapper told him to cut that line out of the song and come up with something, anything, less offensive, but he wasn’t trying to hear it. At the very least they implored Jayceon to reach out to Kanye West to explain the line, not that there is much explaining you can do after you’ve said something like that… Obviously, the biggest question about all this is how will Kanye react? We saw how distraught he was over the idea that Drake had once bedded his beloved, but will he keep that same energy toward someone a bit more…uncouth than Aubrey. Only time will tell. This Is America: School District Reportedly Denies Strip Searching 4 Black Girls After Accusing Them Of Drug Possession

Source: Caiaimage/Robert Daly / Getty Parents Demand Answers After 4 Young Black Girls Were Allegedly Stripped Searched At School According to the Boston Globe , an upstate New York school district denied that four 12-year-old girls were subjected to strip searches in their middle school nurse’s office. A media circus and over 200 parents came  forward after an allegation of the girls, who are all black, were allegedly questioned and strip-searched by the school nurse and assistant principal because they “seemed giddy” during their lunch hour and were suspected of possessing drugs . The mob of community members were present at a school board meeting to demand answers and disciplinary action against staff members but were met with a statement from the school district that said, ‘‘There has been a lot of misinformation being spread through social media from third parties. The champion boxer failed to show up in Broward County court earlier this week and the judge was tired of the disrespect so a warrant was issued for his immediate arrest. Broner was arrested for speeding, not having a driver’s license, registration or proof of insurance. The reason for the court date was an arrest that took place back in Dec. of 2017 and this is reportedly the third time he has bob & weave’d this court appearance. Broner has a storied history of run ins with the law, he’s already been arrested multiple times for the same issue. Also back in April of 2017, the boxer was arrested for having an open warrant in connection to three-year-old public intoxication and disorderly conduct charges. This is just another L Broner has taken in a matter of weeks; having lost in a unanimous decision to a Manny Pacquiao almost twice his age.   Continue reading →

TYGAAAA?! Tyga Sued For Allegedly Failing To Pay Artist Sampled On “Swap Meet”

Source: KIKA/WENN.com / WENN Tyga Is Being Sued For Not Properly Clearing A Sample After a few slow years, Tyga did pretty well for himself in 2018. But now, the California rapper has now found himself in some legal trouble. According to reports from  TMZ ,  the rapper is being sued for using lyrics from another song in his 2018 track “Swap Meet” without proper clearing the record. The lawsuit in question was filed by a rapper by the name of Pretty Maw. She is claiming that Tyga ripped lyrics from her song “17th” without proper compensation, despite saying he would pay “a fixed monetary amount” in addition to royalties from “Swap Meet.” The official video for T-Raww’s track has accumulated over 7 million views on YouTube since its release back in September. The debut video from the lesser-known New Orleans artist for “17th” has yet to eclipse 14,000, but Pretty Maw can actually be seen at the end of the “Swap Meet” video performing a section of her song. Despite her appearance in Tyga’s video, she is not even officially featured on the track.   This is far from the first time money has been a problem for Tyga. Back in July, he allegedly owed $157,000 for abandoning a leased vehicle . A few months before that in March, he was sued for failing to pay his $40,000 a month rent for a Beverly Hills mansion he was renting. In this most recent lawsuit, Pretty Maw is seeking an undisclosed amount of money and the discontinued distribution of “Swap Meet.” Continue reading →
