Get Your Life Together: PnB Rock Arrested In Pennsylvania For Stolen Gun And Possession Of Narcotics

Source: WENN.com / WENN PnB Rock Arrested On Drug & Firearm Related Charges Things aren’t looking too good for PNB Rock at the moment. The rapper has been arrested and charged with drug and firearm related charges in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. PnB Rock was taken into custody on Sunday, January 20, according to reports from  CBS Philadelphia . This arrest followed a search of the rapper’s home in Bensalem, which produced four pounds of marijuana, scales, packaging material, over $33,000 in cash, along with a stolen .40 caliber Glock handgun. Authorities first caught wind of the house after neighbors complained about loud parties and the smell of marijuana coming from the residence. Police eventually gathered enough information to come to the conclusion that Rock was selling weed out of the home. Following the results of this latest search, PnB Rock was charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of narcotics, receiving stolen property (for the stolen handgun), criminal conspiracy, and other related offenses. A woman named Stephanie Sibounheuang, who has been romantically linked to PnB Rock, was also arrested along with the rapper. She has been was charged with possession of narcotics, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy. Both of them were taken to Bucks County Correctional Facility. This isn’t the first time PnB Rock has been arrested. The rapper has a criminal history and served nearly three years in prison previously on other drug-related charges. Continue reading →

Kaya Taitano, a student at the University of the District of Columbia, shared a video Friday of a smiling MAGA standing directly in the face of Nathan Phillips. Kaya told CNN that Phillips who was at the Indigenous Peoples March at the Lincoln Memorial, saw the teens shouting at a group of black teens who’d been preaching about the bible and he attempted to defuse the situation. Phillips used his drum to begin a “healing prayer” to defuse the situation. That’s when the teens who attend Kentucky’s Covington Catholic High School turned to him and began chanting “Build the wall” and “Trump 2020.” One musty lil MAGA in particular then got in his face. “This one kid just refused to move and he just got in Nathan’s face,” she said. “They just surrounded him and they were mocking him and mocking the chant. We really didn’t know what was going to happen there.” Phillips, a Vietnam veteran, told CNN that he just wanted to leave and the child blocked his escape. “I seen the angry faces and all of that, I realized that I’d put myself in a really dangerous situation,” said Phillips. […] “This young fella put himself in front of me and would not move.” People are calling for disciplinary action for the students and their high school as well as the Diocese of Covington have promised to “take appropriate action, up to and including expulsion.” “We condemn the actions of the Covington Catholic High School students towards Nathan Phillips specifically, and Native Americans in general, Jan. 18, after the March for Life, in Washington, D.C. We extend our deepest apologies to Mr. Phillips. This behavior is opposed to the Church’s teachings on the dignity and respect of the human person,” the statement read. Chicago Officer Jason Van Dyke Sentenced To Just Six Years In Prison For Laquan McDonald Murder

Source: Scott Olson / Getty Jason Van Dyke Sentenced To Six Years For Laquan McDonald Shooting Chicago Police officer Jason Van Dyke has been sentenced to 81 months, (6 years and 9 months) in prison and two years of mandatory supervised release for the murder of 17-year old Laquan McDonald . Van Dyke was convicted in October of second-degree murder and 16 counts of aggravated battery, one for each shot Van Dyke fired that struck McDonald. Back in 2014, the officer shot Laquan 16 times after responding to police calls for assistance. Van Dyke claimed that he fired after McDonald failed to comply with demands to drop a knife he was holding and made a threatening move toward police. USA Today reports: Prosecutors had asked Judge Vincent Gaughan to sentence Van Dyke to a prison term of 18 to 20 years. His defense team had asked that he be released on probation Illinois state law requires he serve at least 50 percent of the sentence. He’s already served about three months as he awaited sentencing, so Van Dyke could be out of prison in a little more than three years. Since the fatal shooting, all Chicago officers are required to wear body cameras and the three officers who allegedly “covered up” his actions have been acquitted . Prosecutors suggested up to 96 years for his crime. Before the sentencing, a judge received 200 letters begging for leniency for Van Dyke and his wife emotionally read one asking that he be set free. According to her he “paid the ultimate price.” “He has paid the ultimate price. He will no longer be a police officer. His life is over,” said the wife in court. “He has paid the ultimate price. He will no longer be a police officer. His life is over” – Jason Van Dyke’s wife pleads with court to let her husband come home. The proposal was swiftly rejected by the Democrats, even though it included millions of dollars for humanitarian aid and drug detection technology, and called on Trump to open the government before negotiations on immigration could start.   Trump offered a 3-year reprieve from deportation to undocumented migrants brought to the US as children who are covered by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and to people from certain nations who qualify for Temporary Protected Status. “This is a common-sense compromise both parties should embrace,” he said, apparently seeking to portray himself as a deal maker taking the lead in ending the longest government shutdown in history.
