Silva Ending Up Harsh Talks With Sonnen in UFC 117

UFC 117 will eventually take place August 7, 2010 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, United States. It will showcase the much anticipated match between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen for the Middleweight title. Sonnen has been releasing insulting words against Silva who remained soft spoken up to this time. Silva being the title holder amazingly defended it against 12 fighters since UFC 64 when he defeated Rich Franklin via TKO way back 2006. Sonnen’s previous fights on the hand hs been jaw dropping when he managed to free himself from two deadly and very deep Guillotine Chokes in the first and third rounds by Nate Marquardt in UFC 109. Sonnen was declared as winner via unanimous decision. Both fighters has the potential to win and both has strong reasons to grab the title. Silva would surely not let Sonnen get the title that he has been defending for so long while Sonnen will prove to everyone that he is not only good at words but in actions as well. Dirk Nowitzki Signed New Contract for Dallas Maverick

In a report, the NBA franchise announced the signing in a statement issued Monday that the Nine-time NBA All-Star Dirk Nowitzki signed a new contract with the Dallas Mavericks, According to the source that is close to the Mavericks, the agreement will keep the 32-year-old German at Dalls for four years and the deal is worth more than 80 million U.S. dollars. Dirk Nowitzki had opted out of the final year of his contract to become an unrestricted free agent for the first time, but he didn’t talk seriously with any other teams. From Dirk Nowitzki’s 12-year NBA Veteran, he has an averaged of 22.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, one block and 36.7 minutes in 920 career games. In 97 playoff games, Nowitzki averages 25.5 points, 11 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 1 block per game. Dirk Nowitski is the Mavericks’ career scoring leader with 21,111 points and tops the Mavs in career rebounding with 7,802. The 2007 NBA most valuable player became the 34th player in league history to reach 20,000 career points on Jan. 13 and ranks 27th among all-time. Miami Heat made their cap space cleared and won the jackpot of getting the Wade, James and Bosh to take the trip to championship. After signing the three of the most celebrated free agents, Heat made their moves to re-sign Udonis Haslem who played for the Heat since 2003 draft. Haslem signed a five-year deal worth $20 million, a roughly $14 million less than he could have received if he chose the offers of either Dallas Mavericks or Denver Nuggets. “This is a combination of having a great opportunity to win, which is why we play this game, and an opportunity to still stay close to my family and be with my mother,” Haslem said, “And also, the opportunity to be a part of something special. We all play this game to win. I’ve never been a person driven by money. I would be changing my DNA if I left just for money,” he added. James, Wade and Bosh took less than what they could have received from other teams individually. With that, Heat will be able to sign certain players that will complement the game of the Big Three. Haslem will take the supporting role. With Haslem’s signing, another thing he considered was Mike Miller’s possible trade to Miami Heat for Michael Beasley. These two gentlemen are extremely close friends. They were both Florida Gators. Upon LeBron’s decision in moving to south beach, Miller considered following James. Miller’s agent, Arn Tellem, wrote on his blog, that Miller talked with four teams, not including the Heat, but that his future “hinged on LeBron’s.” James picked Miami, so Miller followed, and Tellem compared Miller to the Ringo Starr on this new Heat team of stars. “Mike welcomes the chance to be the Ringo in a hot combo that already includes LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh,” Miller’s agent said. As part of the Miami’s rebuilding team, Chalmers, Wade, Miller, James, Haslem and Bosh, there is still a position that is yet to be filled, the center position. Is Zydrunas Ilgauskas ready to leave Cleveland to follow his friend LeBron in Miami? There are speculations that the “Big Z” will be joining his former teammate in MIami. Spain Won Over Netherlands! 1-0 in an Overtime Game

That was just amazing! Defeating the undefeated would have been the most amazing that ever happened to Spain. It was just a sad end for the Dutch team. With the score of 1-0 in over an time game. Though Spanish fans has been out-shined by the orange color, their vuvuzelas were the loudest when the final whistle blew. It has been a record breaking game wherein a record breaking 13 yellow cards were given. Quite a dirty game though. Nevertheless, Spain just emerged to win the game with Andres Iniesta as their man. He took a pass from Ces Fabregas in the penalty area and took an 8 yards, right-foot shot past th outstretched arms of Dutch goal keeper Maarten Stekeleberg. This has been the third failure of the Dutch team to grab the title. Two of which were in 1974 and 1978. 2010 World Cup has been the most bitter among the 3 because the team has been undefeated in the tournament and qualified first. It was such a bitter ending. Amazingly, the Dutch team has now become the team having the most number of victories without a title in World Cup. Spanish coach Vicente Del Bosque was lifted in the air by his men as they celebrate their victory. Goal Iker Castillas accepted their elegant trophy fomr FIFA president Sepp Blatter. Paul the octopus just predicted everything right but credits should be given for the amazing Spaniards. That was such a nice game.
