Just when it seemed like DMX had finally conquered his demons and things for him were on the up and up, the Hip-Hop OG pulled out of Def Jam’s 35th Anniversary party at the last second without giving anyone a heads up. Page Six is reporting that Dark Man X was slated to perform at the commemoration event for the label this past weekend at Villain in Williamsburg, Brooklyn when he was suddenly a no show for what was said to be “personal reasons.” Luckily for everyone in attendance fellow Ruff Ryder Jadakiss and Brooklyn’s own Fabolous saved the party by taking to the stage and performing “We Gonna Make It” and “Breathe” for the crowd of 750 which included the likes of 2 Chainz, Teyana Taylor and Slick Rick. Ever since getting out of prison for the umpteen time, a visibly healthier DMX has been keeping himself busy doing shows , making music and filming movies , but when something like this happens fans automatically fear a possible relapse of substance abuse. Hopefully that isn’t the case and it really was something else that he had to attend to.

Deandre Somerville, 21, overslept and missed his August appointment which led to his arrest in court. Palm Beach County Circuit Judge John Kastrenak saw fit to give Somerville, a college student who has never been in trouble, was given 10 days in jail, 150 hours of community service, ordered to write an apology, and one year of probation. The sentencing prompted outrage on social media with many stating the judge went overboard. Those cries were heard as the judge lowered Somerville’s sentence although, adding insult to injury, he wants the man to serve as a spokesperson for the seriousness and responsibility of jury duty according to a report from the Sun-Sentinel . NFL.com is reporting that the controversial wide receiver has a filed a grievance against the Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots . The former wide out is seeking to recoup almost 40 million dollars in his unpaid salary. From Oakland specifically he has requested monies deducted due to disciplinary penalties, a week of salary when he was abruptly dropped from Oakland and voided guarantees. His complaint against the Patriots states includes salary not paid to him from week 1 of the 2019 season and the balance of the contract. Even though the Raiders made Brown the highest-paid receiver he had a very tumultuous year off the field. He allegedly confronted his then general manager Mike Mayock in a hostile manner which resulted him in being terminated even before he played one game for the AFC West squad. He then signed with the Patriots a week later amidst allegations of rape and sexual assault. He would be cut shortly after when it was reported that he sent texts intimidating a witness related to a separate case. On September 22 he took to his Twitter account to vent his frustration claiming he will never play for the NFL again and also allude to this recent grievance filing. This means she can’t afford to pay court fees. The court reviewed her financial records and found Seraphin “Indigent”. They proceeded to waive the majority of fees she would have to pay in her legal battle against flagrantly absent father Future. I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended.” He closed things out by saying: “We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short of that this evening.” The University of Kansas’ Late Night event is a traditional event and has taken place for 35 years. It traditionally started out as a scrimmage to celebrate the return of the college basketball season before turning into a full-on entertainment spectacle. Hughley Speaks To Suspicious Nature Of Joshua Brown Murder Joshua Brown recently testified against Amber Guyger in her trial for the murder of his neighbor, Botham Jean . Days later he was murdered at his apartment complex when unidentified men shot him before fleeing the scene. Unsubstantiated reports claim he was shot in the mouth, an autopsy is pending. The minute news broke, we all raised our collective eyebrows about who *cough, cops, cough* could have killed someone who by all accounts never had enemies and wasn’t involved in illegal activity. The folks at TMZ caught up with D.L. Hughley and got his thoughts on the matter. Somebody better come up with some answers down in Dallas because things can get very ugly if people find out the cops had something to do with this.
