Now aiming to release his fourth studio project titled Feet Of Clay , the California wordsmith aims to solidify his rightful place as one of the elite writers in Hip-Hop. Coming just about a year after the excellent Some Rap Songs album, Feet Of Clay is a seven-song project consisting of production from Alchemist and East Oakland producer Overkast along with the talented Los Angeles beatmaker, Swarvy also placed his touch on the release according to this tweet . Joining the rapper born Thebe Kgositsile on Feet Of Clay are Charlotte rapper and Howard University neuroscience student MAVI, who just released the stellar Let The Sun Talk and hails from Sweatshirt’s dense-rap lineage along with MIKE of The SLUMs crew. The elusive and mysterious Mach-Hommy repays the feature favor as well after Earl appeared on the Haitian rapper’s Wap Konn Jòj! project from this past summer. Costumes are sold online, in stores, in fact, there are even pop up Halloween stores specifically selling items for this one evening. While it can be fun to dress up as your favorite celebrity, movie character, childhood character, meme, and more and there are so many creative ways to construct a costume (or just buy one), you can take the fantasy too far. Halloween has become associated with cultural appropriation because people may dress up in costumes, not knowing the history behind it. Worst of all, there seems to always be a case(s) of Blackface every year, which naturally let’s me know that Halloween is also a time that some choose to offend. In the age of Google, it’s hard for me to accept that someone just didn’t “know”. Doing the research on your costume and spending some time thinking about why you want to have this costume should lead you to know whether it’s a smart idea or not. People choose ignorance. Source: SOPA Images / Getty However, when will we acknowledge that our diction is more damaging than the costumes themselves? It comes out in marginalized communities like minorities and the obese . Growing up, I recall Black people saying, they were going to be the “ Black version of Ariel ” or “the Black Belle.” Yes, we have evolved and have our own Black princesses (shout out to Tiana), it still seems like a limitation for when we dress up for Halloween. We should just be able to imagine those characters in our own image, because for so long, we were ignored on the screen. Also, you can recreate a character without trying to recreate a race; you don’t see Black people powdering their faces, yet the need to create inclusion is heard clearly through the description. We aren’t even having enough discussions around size in animation or representation in a positive light for the young and old alike. Jessica Rabbit was the “thickest” the community has gotten. We haven’t advanced far enough in our fight in diversity to where Disney has given us a voluptuous Princess, with roll and folds in all her glory. Thank goodness we have been graced with a real life BAP like Lizzo . Each year, plus size women are forced to create representation for themselves, we dress up as Tinkerbell’s and Mariah Carey ‘s, Beyoncé ‘s, Michelle Obama ‘s, and Oprah ‘s showcasing the power of plus size women within our superstars. As we strive to be a more culturally aware society, Greek Goddesses become Goddesses, we dress up as skeletons and not Day of the Dead, and we don’t wear makeup from specific African origins in which we don’t identify. It’s not sensitive, it’s respectful and inclusive. Sometimes it’s not what we see and more so what we imply and our verbiage. By thinking more about what we say, how we say it, and how we describe our costumes, can speak volumes to communities that are normally affected by the thoughtlessness within the Halloween holiday. If you've been keeping up with Mackenzie McKee, then you know her marriage hasn't been going well lately. It's been going so badly, in fact, that she's getting a divorce. Mackenzie has said a lot about how everything's been going, her reasoning behind the split, all sorts of things. But thanks to these new photos she just shared, we're starting to wonder if the split is even happening at all anymore … 1. So Much History Mackenzie and Josh have been together for a long time — they welcomed their first child in September of 2011 when they were both very young. 2. Memories They got married in 2013, had their second child in 2014, and their third in 2016. 3. What’s Been Happening? While Mackenzie is on Teen Mom OG now, she wasn’t on TV at all for most of all that — she had her 16 and Pregnant episode, the one season of Teen Mom 3, and then not much at all until MTV picked her back up recently. 4. Hmm So while we know oodles and oodles of information about all the other Teen Mom couples, we only know bits and pieces about the McKee marriage. 5. Cory Wharton is about to be a father for the second time. As previously reported, the alleged Teen Mom OG personality and girlfriend Taylor Selfridge are expecting a child . This is an exciting time for the ex-boyfriend of Cheyenne Floyd, who made many headlines in 2018 by appearing on the aforementioned MTV series as part of a storyline with Floyd, a relatively new member of this franchise. HOWEVER, a damning new allegation may be preventing Wharton from being in a celebratory mood right about now. What does he have to say about the new pregnancy? What does another woman have to say about Cory? What did the website which broke a scandalous story involving Cory and said other woman do now that his attorneys have evidently gotten involved? He is the father of Floyd’s daughter, Ryder, but there’s a slight caveat: He didn’t know he was the father until this little girl was six months old. 2. Huh? What Do You Mean? That’s when Floyd finally dropped the news on Wharton, who totally accepted responsibility and who seems to be pretty close to his first child. 3. What About Cory and Cheyenne? They spent all of Floyd’s first season on Teen Mom OG fighting and flirting, teasing a long-term relationship but never committing to one mostly because Wharton did not want to. 4. And Now? Floyd has a new boyfriend and Wharton has been dating Taylor Selfridge since February of 2019. 5. They’re More Than Just Dating Now, Though Wharton and Selfridge confirmed to Us Weekly on October 16, 2019 that they’re expecting a son or daughter. Surprise! 6. Ashley Martson and Jay Smith are no longer dating. In and of itself, this is not a shocking statement. The 90 Day Fiance stars are nearly as unstable as fellow reality TV personalities Jen Harley and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. But the circumstances behind their latest split may come as a shock to even those who have followed the couple very closely over the past several months. How so? Martson and Smith met on a 90 Day Fiance, with the latter hailing from Jamaica and needing to marry a U.S. citizen in order to live here permanently. They wed in 2018, as seen on 90 Day Fiance Season 6. 2. What Went Wrong After That? Uhhh… everything? For starters, Smith was caught using a dating app days after their wedding. He was chatting with other women on Tinder. 3. Was It Over After That? Not exactly. The stars broke up and then reconciled and then Ashley filed for divorce in January 2019 and then took it back and then filed a second time in April 2019. 4. For What Reason? Because Smith was caught with a woman in a barbershop bathroom. This was merely the latest example of him cheating on his wife. Jay was then taken into ICE custody after he violated a protective order Martson had against him. 5. So It Was Definitely Over Then, Right? It sure sounded that way. “Honestly, I don’t really care if he’s deported,” Ashley told In Touch Weekly just this past August. 6. What the Heck Happened from There? It’s sort of unclear — but there were concerns in September that they got back together again after the two attended the same event in Pennsylvania. When it comes to a national search for a well-known figure, we have a new candidate for folks from coast-to-coast to be on the lookout for… … Kody Brown! Over the past few weeks, multiple members of Brown’s polygamous family have been sharing new family photos on social media. Take Christine, for example. The veteran reality star shared the following photo just a few days ago, explaining her fun adventure featured within it as follows: “Went to Bearizona today!! Super fun experience. Definitely saw many bears.” She included with this caption the hashtag “funwithfamily,” except here’s the thing: a rather important member of this family was absent, not taking part in the fun. Christine posted this message — along with several photos of some of her children and her grandson, Axel, enjoying the outing — with no sign of her husband. Anywhere. For her part, meanwhile, Meri Brown has not shared any photos with Kody in several months. The same can be said for Janelle Brown and Robyn Brown. With rumblings all around the Internet about the future of this popular show and the relationships that comprise it, fans can’t help but wonder: Why isn’t Kody seemingly EVER with any of his spouses?!? “Hey, just seems like [you’re] a single parent you do everything with [your] kids, where’s Kody?” asked one followers on Christine’s Instagram page, in response to one of her new photos. Another posed the same question; Does y’alls husband ever go anywhere with [you]? And then another addressed Christine as follows: Wish your family would update everyone on stuff. Like where is Kody? [You] and the other wives never post any pictures of him and [Robyn] has stopped posting altogether. Makes the rumors of Meri leaving and Robin [sic] divorcing Kody sound more true. Ah, yes: Those rumors… Meri has clearly been unhappy for years now. Granted, she moved with everyone else from Las Vegas to Arizona last year, but she is yet to put down roots there. As previously reported, Meri is merely renting a home , refusing to accept the notion that this is her permanent residence and perhaps that this is her permnanent romance. Remember her castfishing scandal from 2016 ? And subsequent quotes from Kody about how he and Meri are starting over and trying to just “date” for a little bit? There’s really no attempt at even hidingthe fact anymore that Meri doesn’t like her ongoing marital arrangement. What about all that aforementioned Robyn Brown divorce chatter? Unlike Meri, you won’t hear many complaints from this Sister Wives star herself — but we still have reasons to believe she wants out. Heck, we have reasons to believe that Sister Wives as a whole is in chaos . TLC has not yet announced a return date, although we’ve been hearing January 2020 for awhile, and Kody never seems to issue any statement that counters the narrative of general tension throughout his marriages. Could this be the end of the line for everyone involved? Will they soon go their separate directions? We may soon find out.
