Black folks want reality show love too! Over the years, one of the most commonly asked questions about “ The Bachelor ” has been why are there not more African-American men and women on the show. If you believe a new lawsuit that has been filed, then the responsible parties may well be the people working behind the scenes at the popular reality show. Via TMZ reports : “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” are about to get a thorny rose — in the form of a lawsuit. We’re told the 2 plaintiffs — both African Americans — went to a Nashville hotel to audition for the role of bachelor. Christopher Johnson — an aspiring NFL player — claims when he arrived a producer asked him what he was doing there. Johnson and the other plaintiff, Nathaniel Claybrooks, both say they were taken to the side of the room and left out of the normal audition process. Neither was called back, and they believe it’s because of their race. They will be filing a class action lawsuit in federal court Wednesday AM. We’re told ABC, Warner Horizon Television, Next Entertainment, NZK Productions and creator Mike Fleiss, will all be sued. Oprah scored huge ratings after her exclusive interview with Bobby Kristina aired on OWN. Now, other networks are vying for an exclusive with Bobby Brown to discuss his relationship with ex-wife, Whitney Houston. It’s no secret Whitney Houston’s ex, Bobby Brown, has tried to cash in on the late legend before, mainly by peddling a book a few years ago. Sources tell us Bobby’s back to his old cash-divining ways, and he’s now looking for another publisher. Additionally, we’re told a very rich media conglomerate is very busy trying to get Bobby to talk on TV. “ABC is very actively trying to get Bobby Brown for a sit-down,” said a source close to the potential deal-making. “It would probably be with Robin [Roberts] or Barbara [Walters],” added the network source. After Chris Brown’s explosive blowup at “Good Morning America” last week, it’s reported that ABC wants to book him in a sit down interview with none other than ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Wow. The network hopes that they will be able to pull this off since the restraining order Rihanna had against Chris was lifted a few months ago. According to Popeater.com , a source close to ABC News told E! that they wanted to “milk this event for everything that its worth.. it’s all about the ratings.” Another rumor is that the network is thinking about offering Chris a reality show even though E! shut that rumor down right at the source, saying “No, that would never happen.” What is more likely to happen according to sources close to the network is having Chris and Rihanna sit down and talk for the first time, on television. E! says that if ABC is able to pull this interview off, Robin Roberts (the same women who Chris sat down with during his Good Morning America interview before he went off in the dressing room), will be the woman orchestrating the television special.
