Well at least she didn’t hit a cop car this time Via TMZ : Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … a man was driving last night near the intersection of Crescent Heights and Melrose Blvd. when he claims he was sideswiped by a Range Rover that was trying to pass him on the right. According to our sources, when the SUV didn’t stop, the guy called police and reported the hit and run. But the guy didn’t let it go there. According to our sources, he began to follow the SUV himself (which wasn’t difficult because there was traffic). We’re told cops responded to the scene and even dispatched a police helicopter to track the SUV, unsure of how severe the accident was. When cops finally caught up to the Range Rover, we’re told the driver was none other than Bynes … who told police she had no idea she had struck another vehicle. Our sources say the damage to Bynes’ SUV was so minimal, it is possible she didn’t feel the accident. Law enforcement sources tell us Amanda was very cooperative with police and cops had her exchange information with the other driver. We’re told she was not given a citation and cops will not be investigating the incident further. Bynes was arrested for DUI last month after she clipped a cop car. This ain’t “All That” Amanda! Another day, another Hollyweird Becky popped for driving recklessly on the roads. It might be time for Amanda to just get car service, and give the whole driving thing a rest.
The University of Arkansas has fired head football coach Bobby Petrino after he attempted to conceal, and later admitted to an “inappropriate relationship” with his recently hired 25-year-old employee, Jessica Dorrell. Petrino’s relationship with Dorrell lasted a “significant” amount of time, and at one point, Petrino gave her $20,000 out of his own pocket as a “gift.” Dorrell, a former Arkansas volleyball player (below), was hired by Petrino on March 28, only four days before both were involved in a motorcycle crash on a rural road outside the city, prompting the coach to lie but ultimately exposing Petrino’s affair . Jessica Dorrell, who reportedly called off an engagement one week before the accident, has hired a lawyer and could sue for sexual harassment. As the story unfolded after Petrino crashed his motorcycle 10 days ago, many Arkansas faithful came to their coach’s defense, rallying to show support and pleading with the administration to forgive Petrino and move forward. But in the end, Bobby Petrino accepted the fate he earned – dismissal. In a statement, issued after the announcement, Petrino was contrite: The simplest response I have is: I’m sorry . These two words seem very inadequate. But that is my heart. All I have been able to think about is the number of people I’ve let down by making selfish decisions. I’ve taken a lot of criticism in the past. Some deserved, some not deserved. This time, I have no one to blame but myself. I chose to engage in an improper relationship. I also made several poor decisions following the end of that relationship and in the aftermath of the accident. I accept full responsibility for what has happened. I’m sure you heard (athletic director) Jeff Long’s reasons for termination. There was a lot of information shared. Given the decision that has been made, this is not the place to debate Jeff’s view of what happened. In the end, I put him in the position of having to sort through my mistakes and that is my fault. I have hurt my wife Becky and our four children. I’ve let down the University of Arkansas, my team, coaching staff and everyone associated with the Arkansas Razorback football program.

‘Jackass’ star, Paris Hilton and Miguel featured on new episode, airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET on MTV. Known as MTV’s bad boy and quasi-professional stuntman, Steve-O is always pulling an outlandish prank or stunt. At 17, things were no different. In the latest episode of “When I Was 17,” airing at 11 a.m. ET Saturday on MTV, Steve-O recalls bicycling while intoxicated. “My way of getting around in London when I was 17 was my bicycle. One night, I filled my glass with some sort of hard liquor and chugged the whole glass,” remembers the co-author of the recently published “Professional Idiot: A Memoir.” “Every time I did that, something bad happened.” In typical “Jackass” fashion, after chugging a glass of hard alcohol, Steve-O decided to hop on his bike and ride around London. “The next thing I remember is waking up on the hood of a parked car, which I had blatantly ridden head-on into,” he recalls. Steve-O claims he doesn’t recall the accident. Although he didn’t get in trouble for BUI (biking under the influence), he ended up with a mouthful of broken teeth. “My bike was in this mangled heap. My teeth were broken really majorly,” he says. Reese Witherspoon, 35, suffered minor injuries and went home to recover, her rep said at the time. The driver, meanwhile, was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Reese Witherspoon wants to move on after her accident. The actress is not pressing charges against the 84-year-old driver who struck her as she was jogging Wednesday in Santa Monica, Calif., her rep tells us.

In the months since the crash, the “Beautiful Girls” singer has been recovering in Miami, where he lives and where the accident took place. He’s been getting help from pals like “Eenie Meenie” collaborator Justin Bieber, who said the recovering singer is doing much better. “His spirits are a lot higher,” Bieber explained to MTV News in an interview that will air tonight (August 2) on “MTV First: Sean Kingston.” “He still has to have people around him to make sure he’s doing alright, but his spirits are high, and he’s doing well.” Bieber also talked about his recent visit to Kingston’s home in Miami. “I was just down in Miami,” he said. “We were just hanging out at his house, kicking it, driving around Miami and whatnot. It was a lot of fun. I got to relax and take time off.” During “MTV First: Sean Kingston,” the chart-topping artist will talk about his recovery from the near-fatal accident and his plans to get back in the recording studio.
