Kelsey Grammer Announces Love for Kayte Walsh

With his soon-to-be-ex-wife speaking out at every turn, and with rumors regarding his divorce spreading, Kelsey Grammer has finally released a statement. It explains why he’s in such a rush to split from Camille Grammer and marry Kayte Walsh and it boils down to one word: LOVE. “Kayte and I are marrying because we are engaged, and we are engaged because we are in love and see no reason to postpone our happiness any longer,” the actor says. While no wedding date has been scheduled, Grammer adds: “We are planning something we wish to be a private affair among several of our friends. Anything else is conjecture and false. Kayte and I are the only reliable source for this story. End of story.” This is all well and good, but with Kesley and Camille Grammer first filing for divorce in July, one has to wonder: when did he have time to fall so in love with someone else?

LeAnn Rimes Gets Engaged To Eddie Cibrian

‘It’s been an incredible last few days. I was shocked!!!’ singer tweets. By James Dinh Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes Photo: Getty Images With a slew of recent pregnancy and engagement announcements, it appears to be the season of romance for celebrity couples. LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are the latest couple to take on the relationship milestone by announcing their engagement on Monday (December 27), according to People magazine. “Yes, they were engaged over the holidays and are very happy,” a rep for Rimes said in a statement. A source tells the mag that while the duo spent Christmas at home in Los Angeles, they did have family and close friends in town to celebrate the momentous occasion. On Monday, the pair was spotted on a Malibu beach, where the blond songstress was seen wearing her new engagement ring. According to the source, the couple wanted the ring to have “an antique feel, but a new ring.” Rimes, Cibrian and the actor’s childhood friend Brent Polacheck collectively designed the platinum band, which bears a 5-carat oval diamond set in the middle of a rose gold fleur-de-lis. The singer/songwriter took to Twitter on Monday afternoon to share the big news with her fans. “Thank you for all your well wishes!!” she wrote. “We are extremely excited and look forward to a beautiful future. It’s been an incredible last few days. I was shocked!!! We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love. It was nice to have our little secret for us, our families and friends a few days! So excited to now share the wonderful news with our fans.” The 28-year-old songstress gave a shout-out to her publicist, who also serves as representation for Natalie Portman. The “Black Swan” actress also had big news to share by announcing her engagement and pregnancy Monday. “So funny, my dear publicist is the same rep for Natalie Portman and me. So much for his vacation lol!!! Love you Rhett!!!!!” Rimes tweeted . However, the duo’s road to engagement hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Both Rimes and Cibrian were married when they first met each other during the filming of the Lifetime original movie “Northern Lights.” The affair made headlines, but the singer stuck to her guns saying, “That’s just not me. What happened is not who I am, period. … You had two couples whose marriages didn’t work who really stumbled upon each other and fell in love.” After the duo separately finalized their divorces, there was nothing but love on the horizon. In November, engagement rumors sparked after Cibrian tweeted a photo of himself on bended knee holding Rimes’ hand before a sign that read “White Chapel Lunatic Asylum.” Share your well-wishes for the couple below! Camille Grammer Has Lost Respect for Kelsey

Never one to shy away from the press, Camille Grammer has spoken out again about soon-to-be-ex-husband Kesley. A few weeks after saying she felt completely abandoned by how the actor filed for divorce after 14 years of marriage, read on to see what this Real Housewife told The Huffington Post . “I still love my soon to be ex husband,” Camille said . “I respect him as a person, I don’t respect how he handled the affair and the divorce and how things went down.” It’s hard to blame this reality star for that reaction. Kelsey got engaged to Kayte Walsh before his divorce proceedings were even finalized. “He’s in love, he’s getting married, so I don’t think there’s any reconciliation,” Camille added. “Someone gets engaged and tells you he’s going to get married in January and we’re still legally married. We’re separated, we’re not divorced yet.” Has she spoken to her ex any time recently? “I would love to have an open dialogue with my husband at this point because I think it’s really important to co-parent, and the only way we’re going to co-parent the correct way is if we talk, and right now it’s through e-mail and lawyers.” Camille said Christmas was difficult, but “I’m creating new traditions with my family and my children.”

Stephen Dorff Talks ‘Somewhere,’ Career Ups And Downs

‘I thought I was a sell-out, playing a vampire,’ the actor says about his memorable role in ‘Blade.’ By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Stephen Dorff Photo: MTV News Although his role in “Somewhere” was one of the most challenging of his career, Stephen Dorff is grateful to writer/director Sofia Coppola for giving him the opportunity to play a character who is a complete departure from the menacing, murderous types audiences are used to seeing him portray. When MTV News caught up with the actor, he explained that “Somewhere” is the kind of independent art film he was most interested in at the start of his career — which has spanned more than two decades — but when Hollywood started calling, he reluctantly veered into bigger films playing bad boys and villains. “[After the 1992 coming-of-age drama ‘Power of One,’] Hollywood was coming to me, but I was kind of resisting,” Dorff said of his early years in the business. “I really wanted to make art films. I loved working on movies like ‘I Shot Andy Warhol’ [and] ‘S.F.W.’ I liked doing edgier things. I was kind of into Nirvana, I was into rebelling against my childhood.” He added, “I wasn’t really interested in playing vulnerable, sweet parts, like I played in ‘Power of One’ and ‘Backbeat,’ so in a way I think I did that to my own image. I kind of fought it. Then, when it came time to wanting to do [a sensitive role again], it wasn’t necessarily there for me. “Then ‘Blade’ came around and I thought that was the end of my career,” Dorff admitted. “Because I thought I was a sell-out, playing a vampire.” Dorff said that those reservations eventually subsided and that he enjoyed making the action-horror flick. “I had a good time with [director] Steve Norrington,” Dorff said. “I knew he was talented. I had seen this little teeny movie he did and I knew this guy was going to make a good movie.” Dorff went on to say that now he feels that “Blade,” as well as the first “Matrix” movie, were well ahead of their time with regard to what they opened up for filmmaking. “Now we have so many comic-book movies and they’re kind of regenerating the same movie,” he explained. “In a way, there’s not much originality to them. I like that we did ours earlier.” Dorff said that leading up to and after “Blade,” he tried going for less dark roles, but that he couldn’t resist opportunities to work with the likes of Jack Nicholson (1997’s “Blood and Wine”) and other great actors, so he became typecast. “Up until now, really, this movie is the first time somebody like Sofia [Coppola] said, ‘Well there’s another side to Stephen, maybe he can play the leading man, maybe he can be a little sweeter and not have to kill everybody,” Dorff suggested. “It’s nice that now I get texts after ‘Somewhere’ [that say,] ‘You make such a good dad!’ ” he reveals about his family members’ reactions to his performance in the film. “It’s so different than ‘Why were you so scary and mean?’ ”

Stephen Baldwin Sues Kevin Costner For Slick Move

Stephen Baldwin has filed a lawsuit against Kevin Costner for scheming to make money off the BP oil rig disaster. Bet you totally saw that coming! Alec and Billy’s slightly-wacko brother says Kevin duped him into selling his shares in a company that builds machines that separate oil from water. Baldwin claims in April, he decided to become a 10 percent partner in an invention backed by Costner (one developed during his film Waterworld ). B-PEEVED : Baldwin says he got hosed by Costner . Costner and his partners made it seem as if Costner had already sold his shares in the company, when in fact the actor was still heavily invested. Baldwin also claims the company misrepresented that there was no deal in the works to sell the contraption to BP … which evidently there was. Stephen alleges he was duped into selling his shares back to the company so Costner and his partners could score a bigger profit in that deal. BP allegedly bought the company for more than $52 million. Baldwin is suing for unspecified damages and says Kevin is totally going to hell. Just kidding. About the second part.
