Tom Cruise and Laura Prepon are a fledgling new couple, according to reports, with the movie star allegedly on “cloud nine” and smitten with the actress. British magazine Grazia (via The Independent ) claims the 51-year-old Hollywood hunk became friends with Prepon through their Scientology social circle. Cruise, like everyone else, watched Orange is the New Black Season 1 and saw how awesome Laura is in it, which only fueled his attraction to her. Tom Cruise Dating Laura Prepon? He reportedly took her out to dinner at The Renaissance at The Manor Hotel, surprising her in a classic car and with a 1979 bottle of merlot. Awesome as that date sounds, and even though we can see them together, Cruise’s camp shot down rumors of a romance, saying the report is “false.” It’s been more than 15 months since the actor’s divorce from his third wife, Katie Holmes, became final, putting an end to their five-year marriage. He is still involved in a lawsuit, however, regarding a celebrity gossip magazine’s claim that he abandoned Suri Cruise, his daughter, during the split. During his deposition, Cruise was reported to have compared acting to fighting in Afghanistan , although that story was taken somewhat out of context. Aaron Carter has fallen on hard financial times. The hardest, actually, by definition of the law. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the former boy band singer has filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, as his total assets (listed at $8,232.16) don’t come close to matching his total liabilities (listed at $2,204,854). Carter, who is actually touring at the moment, also owes over $1.3 million to the IRS, but he can’t exactly afford to pay this tax burden off. Not when he claims his only assets include: A 61″ flat screen worth ($500). $60 in cash. A Brietling watch worth ($3,750). A dog ($0). It’s true: Carter is on legal record as saying his canine has absolutely no value. Carter says his average monthly income is $1,998.75 and his monthly expenses are $2,005; these are comprised of $600 for food, $150 for clothes and $65 for hygiene. It’s been a rough few months overall for the artist. In June, he was beat up by New Kids on the Block fans . Hard.

The Canadian rapper took part in one of Rih’s favorite pastimes – posting shirtless selfies online – in showing off his athletic body for the world to see. Lame? A little. But hey, if you’ve got it, might as well do a bit of self-promotion. He’s closing in on his former nemesis Chris Brown in the abs department, too … even if only one of the two uses his muscles to crush people and cars. This will be a good test for Chris, who will undergo 90 days in an anger management program after he got booted out of rehab for an anger incident. Seriously. Dude threw a rock at his MOM’S CAR while in treatment. With Rihanna and Drake already back together, or at least hooking up, you know this photo is only going to boost his status in her eyes … and enrage CB. Over the last few days, members of Reality Television’s First Family have gotten even more naked than usual. There’s been a Kendall Jenner nipples sighting via Instagram, while Kim Kardashian is topless in her fiancee’s latest music video. Might this not be a coincidence? Might Kendall and Kim be giving fans a tease of something very special (and naked!) to come? A panelist on VH1’s “The Gossip Table” claims that Kendall, Kim and Khloe Kardashian are discussing the possibility of posing for Playboy. All at once. Together. In the same spread. There doesn’t seem to be much evidence to back this allegation up, except that Kendall has said many times she wants to follow in the path of her sister and Kim has said she wants to do Playboy again . And Khloe did one pose naked for PETA, so she isn’t adverse to taking her clothes off in front of the camera. But still. Three nude sisters in one pictorial? It’s the end of an era. The pioneering desktop MP3 player Winamp, which so many of us grew up playing illegally downloaded tunes on, will soon be no more. Yes, it is actually still in existence. But won’t be as of December 20. In a world dominated by iTunes, “the first reaction to Winamp’s closure might be surprise that it still exists in the first place,” says the Wall Street Journal. That it does. AOL acquired it in 1999, just two years after its creation, and when it was as hot as it gets, with its $80 million purchase of Nullsoft. The AOL subsidiary has even continued tending to the once-venerable MP3 player, releasing updates and versions for Mac OSX and Android. Winamp made its announcement as it released its latest, and last, update to Windows. This and other versions will still work after December 20, AOL said. However, “Winamp.com and associated web services will no longer be available” and “Winamp Media players will no longer be available for download.” 🙁 Winamp became a ubiquitous piece of software when Napster exploded onto the scene in the late 1990s. Once you got your music, that’s what played it. As popular as it was then, it’s that scarce now. The general consensus among fans today is that they didn’t know it was still around. Not shocking, as AOL essentially killed the player a long time ago. When AOL bought Winamp and music-streaming service Spinner, it aspired to be really big in music, and create within its four walls the next MTV. But when AOL threw the two companies together, putting Spinner in charge, the lack of guidance and resulting culture clash handicapped both. Between 2002 and 2007, Winamp was an asset that “AOL knew was valuable but didn’t know what the f–k to do with,” according to one insider. AOL made matters worse by insisting that the entities be subservient to AOL’s email-internet-portal service – not popular with Winamp’s base of fans. Apple’s iPod and iTunes were the final straw. Not only Alec Baldwin support gay rights, he has been in love with men himself, he said at the Dreamforce tech conference in San Francisco this week. In the wake of his recent homophobic slurs , the actor went out of his way to show that he’s not anti-gay. On the contrary, in fact. He loves his lawyer. Alec Baldwin Loves Men At one point during the conference, Baldwin called out his attorney, Matt, who he told, in a joking manner, that “I love you. I love you in THAT WAY.” Baldwin then turned serious, saying ” I’ve loved men in my life . There are some men I’ve loved in my life as much, if not more, than the women in my life.” “I don’t have a sexual preference for men, but I’ve loved men. I’ve been in love with about 3 or 4 men … as much, if not more, than any woman I’ve loved.” He then added, “I don’t wanna have a sexual relationship with them.” Fair enough, Alec. Now we just gotta work on your rage issues …
Alec Baldwin has been suspended by MSNBC for hurling homophobic slurs at a photographer earlier this week, and the actor has issued a real apology. After previously denying he used a gay slur , then claiming he didn’t know an obvious anti-gay epithet was anti-gay, he’s finally admitting what he did. Alec Baldwin Goes OFF on Reporters The 55-year-old says in a statement, “I did not intend to hurt or offend anyone with my choice of words, but clearly I have – and for that I am deeply sorry.” Trying to rationalize, or at least explain his rage in context, he adds, “What I said and did this week, as I was trying to protect my family, was offensive.” Baldwin admits it was “unacceptable” to shout the phrase “c**ksucking f*g” while chasing a photographer on Thursday. In his apology, Alec concedes: “Words are important. I understand that, and will choose mine with great care going forward. Behavior like this undermines hard-fought rights that I vigorously support.” Baldwin’s issued his apology after the controversy he ignited and MSNBC announced it was yanking his weekly show off the air tonight and next Friday. Anderson Cooper , among others, called him out for the ridiculous story he tried to spin, which he seems to have come to grips with now at least. Meanwhile, the actor exchanged heated words with multiple reporters yesterday (see above) and appeared to hit a parked car while he was driving off.
