Oscar Nudity: Best Actress Nominees Nude [PICS]

The Best Actress category is better stacked this year for peter pullers, with Michelle Williams getting raw in Blue Valentine , Natalie Portman drinking from the fur chalice with Mila Kunis in Black Swan , and illustrious nude thespians Nicole Kidman and Annette Bening serving MILF pie in Rabbit Hole and The Kids are All Right . The lone birthday suit bummer in the race for the world’s most coveted hard bald man is Jennifer Lawrence , nominated for Winter’s Bone . Mr. Skin’s pulling hard for Michelle Williams , the one actress who showed some skin in the role she is nominated for. She soaps up in the shower before getting down with Ryan Gosling in Blue Valentine . Natalie Portman ‘s sinfully skinny frame and smoldering intensity were a perfect combination for her role as a demented ballerina in Black Swan . She loses the tutu in Hotel Chavalier (2007) . It’ll tickle more than your ribcage. Nicole Kidman has taken the world down her rabbit hole many times, but Mr. Skin is particularly fond of her creamy can in Eyes Wide Shut (1999) , where she pulls off the naked ninja move of flashing boobs and butt at the same time. Annette Bening rides the carpet-muncher express to ladylove town with Julianne Moore in The Kids are All Right . Annette’s twins are more than all right when she does the b&b (boobs and bush) mambo in The Grifters (1990). Jennifer Lawrence has yet to shed her clothes with cameras around, but she offered up a tempting tease when she wore a bikini on The Bill Engvall Show . For now, it’s still winter for Mr. Skin’s bone as far as Jennifer’s concerned. Mr. Skin congratulates all the beautiful and talented nominees, and extends with his one free hand this gentle reminder: Just because you show skin, doesn’t mean you can’t win! Just ask Meryl Streep .

‘Black Swan,’ Natalie Portman Nab Independent Spirit Awards

James Franco wins Best Actor for ‘127 Hours.’ By Shawn Adler Natalie Portman at the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday Photo: Kevin Mazur/ Getty Images The day might have started out mildly overcast, but as the film community watched in anticipation, the Santa Monica beach quickly went from partly cloudy to completely black, as “Black Swan” swept the major honors on its way to dominating the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday (February 26). A schizophrenic thriller about a ballerina’s inner demons made manifest, “Black Swan” danced away with four awards, winning Best Feature, Best Director for Darren Aronofsky, Best Actress for Natalie Portman and Best Cinematography for Matthew Libatique. The flick is nominated in the same four categories at Sunday’s Academy Awards. Among other winners, the rural drama “Winter’s Bone” nabbed two awards: Best Supporting Male for John Hawkes and Best Supporting Female for Dale Dickey. Presumptive Oscar Best Picture favorite “The King’s Speech,” meanwhile, won Best Foreign Film. James Franco, who played a man who literally had to give up an arm to be here today, finally got his due, winning Best Actor for his performance in Danny Boyle’s “127 Hours.” The 32-year-old, who is in nearly every moment of the film as the camera focuses on his character’s struggle to make a nearly unthinkable sacrifice, will be front and center as co-host of the Academy Awards. Other winners included “The Kids are All Right” for Best Screenplay, “Get Low” for Best First Feature and “Exit Through the Gift Shop” for Best Documentary. Thierry Guetta, aka “Mr. Brainwash,” accepted the award for “Exit” on behalf of the film’s reclusive director, Banksy. Hosted by Joel McHale, the show honored independent and original filmmaking throughout 2010, moving from last year’s venue, the downtown L.A. Live complex, back to the beach in Santa Monica. Will it be a regal evening for “The King’s Speech”? Can “The Social Network” dial up Oscar gold? Oscars Best And Worst Fashions: Experts Weigh In!

MTV News asked a pair of fashion-industry notables to share their choices for the best and worst looks in Oscars history. By Jocelyn Vena Miley Cyrus at the 2010 Oscars Photo: Getty Images The Academy Awards are just days away and that means that soon enough some of Hollywood’s biggest names will be hitting the red carpet while donning some of the most haute couture they can get their hands on. But, before they hit the carpet, MTV News reached out to some fashion-world experts and asked them to weigh in on the event’s best and worst looks ever, which the stars perhaps should take note of before they decide on what to wear. We caught up with fashion-industry maven and People’s Revolution founder Kelly Cutrone, as well as Faran Krentcil, digital director at Nylon magazine, who divulged their favorite and least favorite looks from Oscars history. Best Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta, 2010 : Both Cutrone and Krentchil agreed that this was a winning look for the star. “On another actress it might have looked a little overdone, but Cameron managed to make the dress look like it was just lying on her bedroom floor, and she grabbed it on her way out of the bath. That’s true star power, isn’t it?” Krentcil explained. Maggie Gyllenhaal in Dries Van Noten, 2010 : “I think that it’s not that hard to put a beautiful dress on a girl and get away with it, and then there are people who really understand it … I think that Maggie Gyllenhaal was a great example of that,” Cutrone revealed. “Dries was not obvious; it’s an inside brand. It’s really about beauty and aesthetic.” Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham, 2010 : Cutrone felt that Miley’s look bridged the singer/actress from, well, tween star to teen star. She explained, “The truth of the matter is she has gone from a Disney star to a Vanity Fair cover girl and it brought it back to the middle. [She] really shined.” Natalie Portman in Lanvin, 2005 : “This dress was slightly see-through and the color of a gasping sea monster,” Krentcil recalled of the outfit. “And its floaty shape and grey-blue-green-purple shimmer made it beyond chic.” Anne Hathaway in Valentino, 2009 : Krentcil didn’t have much more to say than “yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,” about why the beaded, white sheath worked so well for this year’s Oscars co-host. Worst Charlize Theron in Dior, 2010 : “She looked ridiculous and she’s so beautiful. She deserved to wear something better,” Cutrone noted, adding about the outdated nature of the dress, “It looked like a Gaultier throwback piece, not like Dior. I didn’t know Nancy Reagan was working for Dior.” Jennifer Lopez in Giorgio Armani Priv

Cee Lo, Adam Levine In Talks To Judge ‘The Voice’

Producers also considered Lenny Kravitz, Mary J. Blige and John Legend for NBC singing competition. By James Dinh Cee Lo Green Photo: Jay West/ Getty Images With all the hype that surrounded the “American Idol” search for celebrity judges, it’s no surprise that NBC is in talks with Cee Lo Green and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine to judge their Mark Burnett-produced singing competition “The Voice,” according to Entertainment Weekly. EW reports that deals have yet to be signed, but the network hopes to finalize contracts with the artists within the next couple of days. Sources also reveal that a high-profile female star, rumored to be Christina Aguilera, is in talks to join the panel. Like “Idol,” producers considered a slew of other judges, including Lenny Kravitz, Roger Daltrey, Mary J. Blige, John Legend and Enrique Iglesias. Hosted by Carson Daly, “The Voice” is expected to premiere this spring, potentially facing off against “Idol” and “X Factor.” However, the show, which is based on the hit Netherlands program “The Voice of Holland,” strays from the traditional singing-competition format. “The Voice” will feature a panel of four celebrity judges, who will sit with their backs to the talented hopefuls in order to focus on their vocals. If they approve of the audition, the judges will push a button that will send the competitor to the next round, claiming them as one of their students. In the case where more than one judge likes the singer, then the competitor gets the opportunity to choose between judges. Once the teams are chosen, the celebrity judges will mentor their contestants and eventually duel the teams against each other, with viewers picking the winners. If you can’t make it for the auditions, NBC has announced that the reality competition will also let hopefuls audition for “The Voice” via webcam. Who do you want to judge on “The Voice”? Sound off below! Related Artists Cee Lo Green Maroon 5

Oscar Preview: Will Natalie Portman Fly High? Can Colin Firth Be Stopped?

Annette Bening might pose a threat to the ‘Black Swan’ star, but Firth seems to be on a one-way track to Academy Awards. By Eric Ditzian Natalie Portman in “Black Swan” Photo: Fox Searchlight Last year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences coalesced around two ideas in the lead acting categories: for Best Actor, it was time to anoint a man whose time had come; for Best Actress, a populist favorite deserved the career thumbs-up that only a small golden statue can deliver. And so five-time nominee Jeff Bridges finally triumphed for his unfettered turn in “Crazy Heart” and Sandra Bullock , long an American sweetheart but hardly an enduring critical fave, took home the win for her uplifting and cheesiness-eluding performance in “The Blind Side.” Oscar, of course, is as fickle a gentleman as you’ll find in Hollywood. So this year, we find in Annette Bening (“The Kids Are All Right”) a four-time nominee who’s never managed to create a voting-community consensus that, shoot, this is my year, dammit! Thus, she finds herself trailing Natalie Portman (“The Black Swan”) for Best Actress, though the winner in that category is hardly clear-cut at this point. The same cannot be said for Best Actor, in which Colin Firth (“The King’s Speech”) staked out an early lead that he hasn’t relinquished all awards season. As MTV News continues its week-long Oscar preview — ahead of the big show Sunday, February 27, when MTV News will be live-streaming from the red carpet at 6 p.m. ET — let’s take a closer look at the two lead acting categories. Best Actress It’s not Bening’s fault. No one can take away anything from what she accomplished onscreen in a warts-and-all portrait of a lesbian couple struggling to keep their family together; 2011 just isn’t her year. But hey, Al Pacino lost six times — including for the first two “Godfather” films and “Dog Day Afternoon” — before nabbing Oscar glory for “Scent of a Woman.” Bening will eventually get her Academy win. The trouble for the 52-year-old actress is that she’s facing off against Portman, who trained as a ballerina for 10 months, displayed a ripped physique onscreen and delivered a gutting portrayal of one woman’s psychological disintegration in “Black Swan.” It’s a far showier performance than Bening’s, and the fact of the matter is that subtly doesn’t often pay off when it comes to awards. That’s not to say it never does, and several influential Oscar prognosticators are picking Bening to pull off one of the evening’s biggest upsets. Either woman would be deserving. And don’t even get us started about why Michelle Williams isn’t at least in the running after a “Blue Valentine” performance so depressingly unnerving she should be standing outside theaters giving out free hugs. That’s just not the way the world works, and we’re going to go ahead and say a very pregnant Natalie Portman will be up onstage Sunday accepting the Best Actress win. Best Actor Bridges is back again, and you could even say his “True Grit” performance is finer and tighter than his turn in “Crazy Heart.” But Tom Hanks, he ain’t (Hanks is one of only two actors to take the category in consecutive years, following wins for “Philadelphia” and “Forrest Gump”), especially not in a year when Firth learned to stutter and went on to dominate awards season. Seriously, the guy has barely lost even an obscure critics association award, winning at the Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards and, oh, six dozen other ceremonies. Like Portman’s performance, Firth as the eventual King George VI is a flashier performance than any other in the category, save perhaps for James Franco’s (who, hey, didn’t actually lop off his arm for “127 Hours” and nixed any miniscule chance he had at an upset when he accepted a job as Oscar co-host). While we welcome Jesse Eisenberg to the ranks of the critically lauded — he’s been on our radar since a pitch-perfect debut as an anxious teen in 2002’s “Roger Dodger” — the 27-year-old actor never really had a shot to unseat Firth once the Brit’s awards-season supremacy became clear early on. What’s more, “The Social Network” peaked too early and now doesn’t have the momentum to pick up Eisenberg’s turn as Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg and carry it toward victory. Best Actor, then, is an easy pick — perhaps the easiest of the major categories. Say hello to Colin Firth, your Best Actor in these 83rd Academy Awards. Will it be a regal evening for “The King’s Speech”? Can “The Social Network” dial up Oscar gold? Oscar Nudity: Clara Bow Shows Things in the Very First Best Picture, Wings

The bonerrific tradition of Hollywood nudity goes way, way back to the uninhibited 1920s, and in honor of the upcoming Academy Awards (as well as Mr. Skin’s Anatomy Awards , of course) we here at Mr. Skin have rubbed ourselves raw scouring the archives for the very apex of Academy Award-winning nudity. As tit turns out, the very first Best Picture, Wings (1927) , is also a breast picture thanks to legendary wild child and original “it” girl Clara Bow. In the film, Clara stars as a sweet young thing involved in a love triangle with two pilots, both of whom are sent off to fight in World War I. In one scene, Clara is undressing in front of a mirror when her soldier boys barge in, and as she scrambles to cover up, we get a tantalizing glimpse of her topless. It’s highly unlikely that the nip slip was intentional, but thanks to the miracle of celluloid, Clara’s “it” tits have achieved immor(t)ality. Check out more of silent film seductress Clara Bow on Mr.Skin, and stay tuned for more Oscar-caliber nudity tomorrow on the Mr. Skin blog !

Oscar Nudity: All-Time Oldest & Old-Time Youngest Winners Nude [PICS]

Oscar loves showering attention on young actresses in their debut films, and older actresses who are capping off a lifetime of achievement, possibly because he’s a bit of a pervert. From Clara Bow to Marion Cotillard, it’s been proven time and again that the Academy doesn’t discriminate when it comes to nude roles, and these intergenerational idols are no exception. At 10, Tatum O’Neill made history as the youngest person ever to win an Academy Award for her role in Paper Moon (1973) , a record that stands to this day. Tatum made something else stand at attention seven years later, when she appeared all grown up and filled out in Circle of Two (1980) . Though Tatum’s tits have been absent onscreen recently due to her offscreen private struggles, we’re anxiously awaiting the day her rack comes back. For the man who prefers his T&A aged like a bottle of fine wine, we have Jessica Tandy , who didn’t show her candy on screen until after she had Mr. Oscar safely nestled between her golden globes. In 1994, seven years after becoming the oldest woman to win the Academy Award for Best Actress, Jessica shed her inhibitions for a nude beach romp in Camilla . Her performance was living proof that it’s how old you feel (and the clothes that you peel) that counts. There’s much, much more Oscar skin to be seen, so stay tuned all this week on the Mr. Skin Blog !

Yup. He is an Academy Award nominee, actor, Oscar host, curator, student, singer, soap star, literary fellow, self-pleasure enthusiast, Twitter star, and champion for seventies sitcoms, but it’s still not enough for James Franco . The man who collects jobs like Charlie Sheen collects loose-lipped escorts has added another bullet point on that already crowded CV — he is being featured in a new art exhibit alongside Gus Van Sant.
