According to ABC News: Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie are ending their marriage. According to a rep for the actress, the two have agreed upon “an amicable separation.” “They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other’s lives,” Duff’s publicist told ABC News. “They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son, and ask for privacy at this time.” Duff, 26, and Comrie, 33, wed in 2010, and welcomed son Luca more than a year later. According to People magazine, though they tried to work out their issues in couples therapy, it ultimately became clear that they “work better as friends.” “There was no major incident – no big event between the two of them. They really did drift apart,” a source told the magazine. “They have put effort and thought into this decision for a long time…. They barely acknowledged their relationship while it was intact, but Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev joked about their breakup in front of millions last night. The Vampire Diaries stars won the People’s Choice Award for Best On-Screen Chemistry, taking the stage together and running down all their characters have been through on The CW hit. They then joked about their real-life split, making it seem as if things are awkward on set now that they are no longer dating. And they likely were for a spell, but the funny speech concluded with Ian giving Nina a peck on the cheek and the actress declaring, hey, at least we have chemistry! Jennifer Lawrence generally doesn’t interest me…I don’t find her hot, I don’t like her body, I don’t care that she’s an Oscar winner, because I feel the Oscars, if not staged or owned by the major studios are definitely not really legit, unbiased, or manipulated by how charismatic or friendly the actress is outside of her movie roles. You know being the cute, funny, not really worrying about looking weird and awkward girl Jennifer Lawrence seems to be…. Michael Muhney is out of a job. And we may now know why. The actor stunned fans in late December when he announced that he had been fired from The Young and the Restless . No reason was given at the time, but sources tell TMZ that the five-year veteran was terminated after co-star Hunter King complained to producers that Muhney fondled her breasts. On two separate occasions. Muhney is married and has three kids. The report goes on to say that he had been harassing Hunter and others on set for a long time. He even said in a recent chat with HuffPo’s Canada TV after getting canned that “sometimes I’ve walked around with a big backpack of hubris.” Hopefully, Muhney will now learn his lesson. Fans, meanwhile, have threatened to boycott The Young and the Restless as a result of this firing. But perhaps they wil change their tune after learning the reasons behind it. Muhney’s final episode airs on January 30.
When Lisa Robin Kelly passed away in August, a few questions were raised over the actress’ death. The 43-year old’s boyfriend and estranged husband went back and forth over who was to blame for Kelly’s death, which was initially reported to be the result of an embolism. But the autopsy from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office has now come in for the That 70s Show star and it confirms she died from multiple drug intoxication. Few other details are available, but authorities say the fatal intoxication took place by oral ingestion – and that the manner of death was accidental. Kelly portrayed Laurie Forman on the aforementioned sitcom from 1998-2006. She had been arrested several times prior to her passing, having faces charges over the years that stemmed from drunk driving to domestic assault. But she has voluntarily checked herself into a rehab facility just a couple days before she overdosed. Said Kelly’s agent soon after the sad news broke last year: “I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her. Last night she lost the battle.”
