The numbers most often associated with Adele will likely always be 19 and 21 due to her best-selling albums, and her once-in-a-generation vocal talents. But let’s all focus on 25 today instead, shall we? That’s her age. It’s Adele’s birthday, people! The singer’s 2011 was one of the best years ever for a musician, and her 2012 was also notable for a very different reason. Adele gave birth to a baby boy. She and partner Simon Konecki are basking in romantic and parental bliss, with music taking a back seat for the time being, and for that, we commend her. It’s not like she’s gone from the music scene altogether, either. She added her name to the list of 2013 Oscar winners with her James Bond hit “Skyfall.” We wish her the happiest of birthdays!
Slightly-thicker , curvier versions of beauty are frowned upon in today’s “Skinny is EVERYTHING” society. The bigger you are, the less attractive you’ll be in the media’s eyes, which inspired this celebration of stunning thicksnacks who exude undeniable sex appeal, self-love and class. Here are the ten hottest plus-size celebrities. Take a look.
Go big girl what you gon’ do? Via FoxNews Has Chris Brown finally met his match? At one point in the night, the star looked like he was on the receiving end of almighty tongue-lashing from Adele – just moments after he snubbed Frank Ocean by sitting through a standing ovation for his rival at last night’s Grammys. Brown and Ocean have been bickering for weeks and came to blows last month after bumping into each other outside a Los Angeles recording studio. When Ocean beat him to the Best Urban Contempary Album award, the whole audience rose to their feet to applaud him – except Brown, who stayed planted to his seat in a sulk. And when the applause died down, Adele cornered him for a tense one-on-one. Cameras didn’t pick up Adele’s choice of words – but judging by Brown’s body language, it wasn’t pretty. The 23-year-old held his arms out as open-mouthed Adele let loose. Adele STAYS mad at somebody doesn’t she? Looks like she made Breezy her beyotch…ouch.
A new Tumblr page seeks to answer one of the internet’s most troubling questions: What if Adele was Mrs. Doubtfire? The page re-works Adele’s face into several of the movie’s famous scenes. What would Adele’s face look like if it was run over by a truck? What would Adele look like if she stuffed her face into a cream pie? What would Mrs. Doubtfire look like if she won a Grammy? This isn’t the first time that Mrs. Doubtfire has been subject to an internet parody. Earlier this year, the clas
Lady Gaga is tired of folks talking about her putting weight on. Still we might have to give her a Ho Sit Down if she doesn’t watch her mouth talking about our girl Adele. Via US Weekly : Lady Gaga feels she’s been unfairly criticized for not maintaining a perfect physique. The “Born This Way” singer admitted to packing on the pounds in a mid-September radio interview, and since then, she started a “Body Revolution” on her Little Monsters website, where she asked people to embrace their figures and focus on inner beauty. When the 26-year-old spoke with Stylist UK about the movement, she drew attention to another famously curvy musician: British soul singer Adele, 24. “I was acutely aware of some photos on the internet — my mom called me and was like, ‘Did you gain weight?’ — everybody was telling me about it, and I didn’t really care,” Gaga recalls. “I thought, well I don’t really care if they think I’m fat, because, quite honestly, I did gain about 30 pounds.” She continued, “Adele is bigger than me — how come nobody says anything about it? She’s so wonderful and I think her confidence is something I have to match. She has set the bar very high for a lot of woman. I need to be a confident woman and just say politically active things when I can that are helpful to young people.” (Adele and her boyfriend, Simon Konecki, welcomed a baby boy in mid-October.) The Grammy winner wishes more women would be supportive and encouraging instead of critical and demeaning. “We should all make an effort to be nice to one another all the time,” Gaga says. The native New Yorker (who’s dating Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney) also shared her beauty mantra with Stylist UK. “Sit in front of the mirror with all of the paints and colors and wigs that you have at your disposal, and just have a real talk with yourself. ‘What do I not like about me?’ And then, peer into the mirror — and just f-cking draw right over it because that’s what makeup is here for. We’re not all perfect — it’s meant to be fun so we can bond as women, and say, ‘You know, what? We don’t all feel perfect, but did you try that lipstick? It’s divine.’” It sounds out like she started out trying to diss her then tried to turn it into some kind of compliment. What do you think? Out of pocket or totally fair territory? BTW Gaga, we’re pretty sure Adele would disagree and say she gets plenty ‘nough comments about her size. Also, considering Adele just had a baby maybe Gaga should have just left her out of it. SMH.
