The stars were friends for many years; started dating in the middle of 2014; and shocked the world when they got married, without any major fanfare, in April of this year. “I love this human. My human,” Reed wrote as a caption to a honeymoon photo of the pair back in May. But that’s nothing compared to the sentiment Reed continued to express with her birthday message. “You are a gift to this world, a teacher of light and a student of love,” she said to her husband. “You radiate warmth in vibrant reds and deep orange hues. I often wonder what it would be like to see autumn arrive through your eyes. Here is to the next 65 years together, holding hands, strolling through the woods, still learning, still listening. “Happy happy birthday…I love you.” According to report this fall, meanwhile, Reed and Somerhalder may soon have kids , which would be amazing.
