Yeah, We Said It: Tami Roman Needs Counseling… or a Leash

We understand anger. Who wouldn’t be upset after losing their multi-million dollar earning husband, their home and public adoration? We get it. Still, it’s been more than 10 years since Tami Roman split with her basketball superstar ex-husband, Kenny Anderson, yet she still reeks of the bitterness, hostility and jealousy of a newly disposed of wife. It’s sad to see the former star of “The Real World” give every swagged up “Basketball Wives” co-star the same ultimatum, get down or lay down. While Evelyn Lozada is the show’s resident mean girl, Roman is definitely the bully. Watching a 40-something year-old woman threaten to beat down every female who doesn’t hail to her ridiculous manifestos, such as “being real” on a show where you get more screen time for backstabbing is great television, but also painfully embarrassing. Throwing shade — or even drinks — is one thing. Punching, smacking and intimidating seems savage. It also reads as pathetic. After hearing Roman reflect on her fly girl days, lament on all she lost and gush over her admiration for Lozada’s “Queen Bee” of the mean girls status, most would deduce she’s jealous. She envies those women who had their “G” up, refused to sign away their rights in pre-ups and kept it right and tight. There’s just one little flaw in her reasoning: The only person she should be upset with is herself. Even back in her “Real World” days Roman talked about wanting a baller. She knew the risks of entering such a lifestyle. “Get’em girls” need a plan B. We all know how the playboys roll. They cheat. They hustle. They leave. It was her job to protect herself. Roman’s externalized sadness, a.k.a. aggression, is getting old. Plus, it may result in her losing her only meal ticket. Instead of giving Tyler Perry free fodder for his next “Madea” flick, Roman should stay in the gym and continue to work on her wardrobe — or consider wiring her mouth shut again. If not, she may end up with some heavy metal wires around her wrists. After all, she is a beautiful woman who has two daughters watching and taking notes. Oh yeah, and lets not forget what tends to happen to bullies on playgrounds…they usually get jumped or whooped after messing with the wrong one. Don’t fret Tami Roman . There is still hope for another happily ever after, filled with a sugar daddy just for you — he may have a bit of a belly and a receding hairline, but his pockets will be lined. Just stop the violence. Unleash your inner zen — or ho. After all, doing the latter did help Lozada catch Chad Ochocinco… View This Poll Market Research

Drake Talks ‘Crafting’ DJ Khaled’s ‘I’m On One’ Collabo

‘That’s the first time anybody has ever heard all three of us on a record,’ Drizzy tells MTV News of teaming with Rick Ross, Lil Wayne. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Ricky Louis Drake Photo: MTV News Drake is such a nice guy. When DJ Khaled approached Drizzy to appear on a track off of his upcoming Cash Money album, We the Best Forever, the Thank Me Later MC wanted to lend something memorable to his friend’s project. The result, “I’m On One,” Khaled’s latest single featuring Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and, of course, Drake. “Khaled waited, like, forever and a day. I was taking my sweet time trying to craft this piece of music because I knew he needed a special moment,” Drizzy told MTV News at the song’s video shoot in Miami. “When I did it, I was like, ‘OK, it’s gotta be me, Ross and Wayne.’ That’s the first time anybody has ever heard all three of us on a record.” After leaking the song onto the Internet on May 12, Khaled and company were out shooting the video for “I’m On One” this past weekend — just 15 days later — and that fact isn’t lost on Drake. “To be out here shooting a video, it’s amazing how things work nowadays,” he said. “I used to make music and never think anyone was gonna hear it, now I make music and two weeks later, we’re shooting crazy videos in Miami, living the life.” Aside from working with Wayne, who Drake is signed to and frequently shows appreciation for, the Toronto-born rapper spoke on his admiration for his “brother” Rozay. “That’s one of my favorite people to rap with in the world,” Drizzy said. “That’s family the same way YM is family, the same way that OVO is family,” he said, name-checking his Young Money and October’s Very Own teams. “Ross know what it is, MMG all day, I hold that close to my heart.” What do you think of “I’m On One”? Ke$ha Reflects On ‘Really Intense’ Breakout Year

Billboard cover girl is the magazine’s Hot 100 Artist of the Year. By James Dinh Ke$ha on the cover of the December issue of Billboard Photo: Billboard She was overlooked by the Grammys, but Ke$ha dominated radio and the charts in 2010 with her Auto-Tuned electro-pop and a distinctive “garbage chic” style that had everybody talking. In the latest issue of Billboard, the party-girl pop star opens up about her whirlwind rise to the top, saying she has no regrets about her breakthrough year. “Are you kidding me? I pretty much feel like I’ve been reborn into this completely different existence,” the singer told the magazine when asked how life had changed for her. “My entire life has become making music and playing shows, and I love it. I’ve accepted the fact that my fans are now my family, and I won’t be having boyfriends. I’ll just be having a really amazing relationship with the radio.” The pop star said that although she “wasn’t clueless” about what fame might bring, it far exceeded her expectations. “It’s just not at all what I expected it to be like,” she said. “It’s really intense, more intense than I ever thought it would be.” Recalling paparazzi chasing her as she made her arrival at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, Ke$ha said, “I was having an anxiety attack, like, ‘I just wrote some pop songs, man!’ ” Ke$ha, who graces the mag’s cover wearing a crown as she pops a bottle of champagne, also talked about her big debut single, saying, “Sometimes I need to remind myself that ‘Tik Tok’ only went to #1 in January, because it kind of feels like it was 17 years ago.” The mag went on to ask if “Tik Tok” was the best way to introduced herself to the public. “I don’t know. We didn’t really know which song to come out with first,” Ke$ha said. “It was kind of a debate, because I didn’t initially come out as a rapper; I’ve always been a singer. So having my first single classified as kind of a rap song felt bizarre to me. But now it’s become something of a trademark, and it’s becoming more legitimate. I’ve talked to some of my favorite rap artists over the past year — artists who are idols — and they’ve given me mad props.” What was your favorite Ke$ha moment of 2010? Tell us in the comments! Usher’s ‘OMG’ ‘ Kills It Every Night,’ Says Tourmate Miguel

‘There’s so much anticipation for this song when he comes out,’ Miguel says of MTV News’ Song of the Year. By Vaughn Trudeau Schoonmaker Usher Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images MTV News just named Usher’s “OMG” the #1 song of 2010 , and clearly we’re not alone in our admiration. But what is it like to watch it performed night after night? Miguel, who is currently opening for Usher’s OMG tour gave us a little insight. “There’s so much anticipation for this song when he comes out, and he really gives the fans what they want,” Miguel laughs. “He kills it every night.” Before his latest string of hits, Usher was out of the spotlight for a period of time in 2009, when he was dealing with personal issues including a divorce. Miguel finds his 2010 comeback inspiring. “There was a period of time, when a lot of people didn’t believe in Usher and thought he was finished … just kind of going to ride off into the sunset and disappear,” the up-and-coming singer noted. With the release of Raymond vs. Raymond and the follow-up EP, Versus, in 2010, Usher proved the skeptics wrong with chart-toppers including “OMG” and “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love.” “He’s such a tremendous example of perseverance and determination,” Miguel beamed. “I was there throughout this album, so I’ve seen the adversity that he’s had to overcome perception-wise.” MTV News’ Top 25 Songs of 2010 have all been counted down. But the fun isn’t over yet: We still want to see your picks in the comments below! Related Photos MTV News’ Top 25 Songs Of 2010 Related Artists Usher Miguel

Jennifer Aniston Is ‘Obsessed’ With Warren The Ape

‘I got an autographed 8-by-10 that is proudly hung on my wall,’ ‘Switch’ star says of meeting foulmouthed primate. By Kara Warner Jennifer Aniston Photo: MTV News Jennifer Aniston is one of those super-famous A-listers whose image as a celebrity who’s as nice offscreen as she is onscreen seems to be well-earned. No rumors of nasty, on-set meltdowns or diva fits ever follow her. So when MTV News caught up with the former “Friend” as she promoted her upcoming movie “The Switch,” we were a bit taken aback when she began to gush — unprompted — about a certain furry, foul-mouthed MTV star. “Can I tell you how much I love Warren the Ape ? Is that crazy?” asked Aniston, who co-stars in the August 20 flick with Jason Bateman. “I have a headshot on my wall in my kitchen,” she admitted proudly. “I’m such a fan, I went to the premiere of the show — mind you, my friend is a producer of it — but I had no idea I would become that obsessed with ‘Warren the Ape.’ ” Aniston went on to say that she also appreciates addiction specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky’s presence in the comedy. “[He] is of course, quite helpful in that,” she added. “I actually got to meet Warren and then I got an autographed 8-by-10 that is proudly hung on my wall in my kitchen.” We suggested that Aniston should consider doing a guest spot on the show. “Trust me, I’ve already written ideas out in my mind,” she said. “I’m not kidding.” Soon after hearing Aniston confess her admiration for Warren, MTV News tracked down the primate to find out what he had to say about his famous fan. “I admire Jen as a woman of taste and distinction and I’ve always appreciated her political support of Fabricated Americans like myself,” Warren the Ape told us. “She also knows how to rock a bikini.” Don’t miss an all-new episode of “Warren the Ape” Monday night at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. Carrie Prejean Throws Hissy Fit on Larry King Live

In an interview with Larry King last night, Carrie Prejean told the host: “Sarah Palin is my hero.” Incredibly, however, that was NOT the most ridiculous thing Prejean did or said during the segment! Before throwing a fit and acting like a six-year old, Carrie expounded on her admiration for Palin. She said she admired the former governor’s “strength and her courage,” adding that Palin would “make a great President.” But Prejean also said Palin is “smart enough to get out of” politics. Indeed, why make a supposedly great President and help your country when you can earn money from speeches and books instead?
