The child star became the latest celebrity to have his death prematurely reported on the Internet yesterday, with chatter going around that Culkin was found dead in his Manhattan apartment. Fortunately, Culkin is alive and very well and responded to the hoax in a seriously hilarious manner: by going all Weekend at Bernie’s on us! Via the official Twitter account of his rock back (The Pizza Underground), Culkin is seen above making like the title character in the aforementioned comedy, which centers on a couple of friends pretending all weekend as if they’re friend Bernie is actually alive. “Weekend at bernies with @anchovywarhol #greenroom,” the band’s handle captioned the picture of Culkin, jokingly playing dead in the arms of his bandmate. Incredibly, yesterday marked the second time this year that Culkin was rumored to have passed away. A couple years ago, meanwhile, The National Enquirer claimed Culkin was spending $6,000 per month on a heroin addiction. This allegation surfaced around the same time as photos of a very thin Culkin also appeared on the World Wide Web. It’s unclear why folks like to spread lies about Culkin, though perhaps some are jealous that he’s seen Mila Kunis nude . The two stars dated for many years prior to Kunis procreating with Ashton Kutcher. Jesse Helt is making like Teresa Giudice : The young man – who made headlines in August for accompanying Miley Cyrus to the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards and even giving a speech on her behalf – is headed to prison. The 22-year old received a six-month jail sentence yesterday for violating his probation, according to NBC News. Jesse Helt Surrenders to Police Helt accepted Miley’s Video of the Year trophy at the aforementioned event and then went on to tell viewers about the plight of homeless individuals such as himself. Cyrus later took to social media to explain that she was trying to use her fame for good, as she and Helt helped raised over $200,000 for a homeless shelter in Los Angeles through their stunt. But Miley received criticism from critics who claimed she was simply exploiting Helt, while it eventually came out that Helt wasn’t actually homeless. To make matters worse, the public then learned that several warrants were out for Helt’s arrest , ranging in seriousness from burglary to criminal mischief. Helt turned himself in to police not long afterward and was permitted to speak on his own behalf in court on Tuesday. He told a judge that he’d “like to be viewed as a good person.” Judge Monte Campbell, however, cited continuing probation violations as the reason to revoke his probation and send him to jail. Helt was credited with 57 days served. At the VMAs, his speech did manage to make folks aware of the issue of poverty in America, as Helt told the millions watching at home: “My name is Jesse, and I’m accepting this award on behalf of 1.6 million runaways and homeless youth who are starving lost and scared right now. I know this because I am one of these people. Leah also worries about the strain of raising her three girls when Jeremy is away for work, which takes up a lot of his time even though it supports them. In mediation, Kailyn’s lawyer advises her to consider offering week-long visits with Jo and Isaac during the summer, to help both with the switch. Jo’s lawyer says because Javi is in the military, they may face may more moves around the U.S. that will affect Isaac’s relationship with his dad. The case is delayed once again, so this was basically filler … except that Kailyn’s anxiety is rising and she doesn’t know how much of it she can take. Melissa pulled her kids of our school to spend more time training, and Jill considered the same, making it clear where their priorities lie (frighteningly). Social commentary aside, Dance Moms Season 4 Episode 5 found Kendall, Brooke, her sister Paige, and Mackenzie in the pyramid’s bottom tier. Nia and Maddie were second; Chloe got the top spot. Abby conjured up a dance routine based on the civil rights movement, which just sounds like it would be offensive and tacky, but no one’s objecting. When the venerable mentor suggests that Christi homeschool Chloe because it’s worked so effectively for Maddie, Chloe commendably declines. Mature beyond her years, that youngster. Respect. At the competition, Mackenzie got the team off to a strong start … or not. Abby concluded that any one of the team members could be dispatched. Ouch. She’s always a taskmaster, that Abby. Nonetheless, the girls received a standing ovation for the group routine, with Holly front and center in the aforementioned, controversial civil rights-themed dance. How did the results shake out after this? Maddie and the trio won the top prize, but Mackenzie only finished second, a pill made even tougher to swallow by Abby’s commentary and comparisons.
