Mitt Romney Florida Supporters Feel The Momentum

‘I just really want to see some hope restored in America,’ one voter tells MTV News a day before Florida primary. One day before the primary in the pivotal swing state of Florida , which could finally cement his status as the leader of the pack in the Republican presidential nominating contest , a pumped-up Romney took the stage at a Caterpillar equipment dealership to speak to an enthusiastic crowd. His message of “real hope and change” resonated with Amy Gallogly, 23, a community college student who works at a tax service and an alarm company in the area. “I just really want to see some hope restored in American,” she said after the event wrapped as Romney shook hands and signed autographs while Kid Rock’s “Born Free” blasted from the speakers. “I’m just really pushing for any Republican candidate. … The one reason I really am pushing for Mitt Romney [though] is because I think he’s the one candidate who can beat Obama .” High school senior Tori Reiman, 18, came with her mom, who works in the real-estate business in the state with the nation’s highest foreclosure rate. “I’m kind of over Obama,” she said. “He’s not doing his job. He’s raising the taxes on the richer side of American, which I don’t believe is fair.” Asked why she came out to the event, Reiman said, “I believe in Mitt Romney and I believe in America.” Law student Eric Bast, 24, definitely picked up on Romney’s message of change, saying that he’s energized to participate in his first election. “I want to change it back,” said Bast, who recently registered to vote . LeBron’s dramatic entrance stunned fans

LeBron Appreciation Day was held at InfoCision Stadium on Saturday, June 19, 2010. It was organized by the people in the City of Akron who thought that LeBron James isn’t just a basketball superstar, a two time MVP. For them, LeBron James is a true ambassador to their area, shining a spotlight on the greatness for their region and its people. He draws in crowds from all over the world, providing a boost to their economy and support for their businesses. The event, which is free and open to the public, is designed to show James how much he is appreciated by the city he grew up in and its citizens for everything he has done for Akron and Northeast Ohio. This festivity drew nearly 4,000 fans in the venue. As the thousands of fans already gone and leaving, LeBron James turned the big bash into a surprise party. He stunned everyone by walking through a side gate into nearly empty InfoCision Stadium in the University of Akron, after the event was officially ended. As his fans screamed and pushed to get closer to the two-time NBA MVP awardee, LeBron James, who lives a short drive near from the school, made his way down to the playing field. The MVP was presented with a gorgeous crystal trophy, which had to be pulled out of the box after being packed away. “Akron is my home, it’s my life,” James told the crowd after accepting the city’s first Hometown Hero Award. “Everything I do is for this city. I’m going to continue to do great things. I love every last one of you all. Akron is home.” James was then escorted through a door to the football team’s locker room and waved to fans before disappearing almost as quickly as he arrived. James didn’t commit to organizers that he would drop by to the said event, which was sponsored by local businesses and the city of Akron. He never mentioned about free agency during his 10-minute stay. This was his second public appearance since the post season ended in the second-round against the Eastern Conference Champions, Boston Celtics. Video and more info.. It’s hard to listen when your emotions are…heated (couldn’t resist). Just ask Christopher Monckton who, in a heated moment, called the young activists who protested The Americans for Prosperity meeting in Copenhagen yesterday. (Monckton heads up an organization called the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, a group known for its opposition to scientific consensus on climate change).
