Jennifer Lawrence is an Oscar winner and the main face of one of Hollywood’s most successful movie franchises. But it was’t always this way. In the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK, the Catching Fire star thinks back to the early stages of her career and one industry insider who pushed her to drop some serious pounds. Jennifer Lawrence Lashes Out Over Weight Criticism “I was young. It was just the kind of shit that actresses have to go through,” she tells the magazine. “Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn’t lose a certain amount of weight.” It actually gets worse. “They brought in pictures of me where I was basically naked, and told me to use them as motivation for my diet,” Lawrence explained. J. Law has come a very long way since then, of course. She’s an A-lister and she’s comfortable enough in her body to pose makeup-free for Dior . But the criticisms still sting. “It doesn’t matter what accolades you get,” she says. “I know it’ll never happen to me again. If anybody even tries to whisper the word ‘diet,’ I’m like, ‘You can go fuck yourself.'” In fact, Lawrence is now very open about her love of junk food while on set. “My bodyguard Gilbert, right before they call ‘action,’ I’m like, ‘If there aren’t Cheez-Its here by the time they call cut, just go home.,” she says. “And he’ll start running. It cracks me up how seriously he takes it… It’s not my performance that is motivating me. I want to get the on-set catering.” Have we mentioned recently how much we love Jennifer Lawrence?!?
