For the Kids: Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony Reunite

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were spotted together yesterday in Southampton, New York. But it isn’t for the reasons you might think, or Anthony might hope . “The intention was to spend time with his kids Emme and Max, and they had a beautiful time. He’s been with Max and Emme a few times now,” the singer’s rep tells People . Their children represent the only reason Lopez and Anthony will ever get together, friends swear. One insider practically jumped through the screen when asked by E! News about a possible reconciliation: “She’s done, as she should be. Do you have any idea what she put up with? Bert and Ernie: Just Friends!

Is Big Bird a male or a female? That issue is still unresolved. But Sesame Street has finally responded to a different long-running rumor regarding two veteran players today and revealed: Bert and Ernie are just friends. In response to an online petition that urged the show’s creators to marry the supposed couple, producers wrote the following message on Facebook this afternoon: “Bert and Ernie are best friends. They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves. Even though they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits and characteristics… they remain puppets, and do not have a sexual orientation.” Okay, but why does Bert have one long eyebrow and Ernie possesses none at all? And… seriously, they’re straight? Are you buying this, readers?

Another day, another married NBA player being put on blizzast! Metta World Peace, the baller formerly known as Ron Artest is the subject of the latest athlete sexting scandal. We don’t have all the details yet, but Deadspin, the same site that broke the news about Brett Favre flashing his weiner to that hot chick, posted this story today, with the promise of more to cum come on Monday, titled Stay Tuned On Monday For A Strange Tale Of Sexting With Ron Artest : I called Ron Artest shortly after two this afternoon, for the second time. I wanted to talk about dong shots, and a story we’re running Monday about a girl with whom he had a sexy-texting relationship. She wrote for us about the bizarre comedy of texting with Ron Artest. She didn’t ask us for money, nor did she ask Ron for pictures of his d*ck. But hey, we wanted to hear his side of the story. He picked up, and, after I identified myself, he denied that Ron Artest was speaking, even though I recognized his voice from the day before. Kim Kardashian "Truly Sick" Over Casey Anthony Verdict

In a verdict many feel is on par with the stunning decision to acquit O.J. Simpson, Casey Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her two-year old daughter today. The result has left one avid viewer of the proceedings in shock: Kim Kardashian. The daughter of one of Simpson’s lawyer Tweeted this afternoon: “WHAT!!!!???!!!! CASEY ANTHONY FOUND NOT GUILTY!!!! I am speechless!!!” In between X-Raying her ass, Kim Kardashian found time to weigh in on the Casey Anthony trial. Kim later added: ”I am truly sick over the Casey Anthony verdict! So if the courts don’t believe she is guilty then who do they think killed this little baby?” “Is this now an open case? Do they attempt to arrest someone else? I am so confused! How do these jurors not believe she’s guilty????” We’re as stunned as anyone, but just to answer Kim’s hard-hitting questions: 1. That’s not how a court case works. The jury deals with the defendant on trial, not the hypothetical questions of who else could be responsible; 2. Yes, of course it’s an open case now. By the way, O.J. totally killed his ex-wife and her boyfriend.

Having been hospitalized earlier in the week, forced to own up to her poor eating habits , Selena Gomez finally got some good news today: The single “Who Says?” has gone platinum. Gomez reacted on Twitter with enthusiasm: “Ahhhh yay! Yay! Yay! Who Says went platinum!!! Thank you!! YOU have every right to a beautiful life :)” Way to go, Selena! Now, all ears turn to “Whiplash,” another track off Selena Gomez & The Scene’s upcoming album, “When The Sun Goes Down,” which comes out June 28. Britney Spears actually co-wrote the song. Amber Portwood: Safe, Receiving Treatment

Following a suicide threat and a hospitalization, Amber Portwood is doing better and is hopefully on the mend. “Amber is safe and getting the help she needs right now. Thanks for your prayers and support,” Gary Shirley, the Teen Mom ‘s star occasionl boyfriend, Tweeted this afternoon. We last heard from Shirley on the disturbing 911 call he placed soon after speaking to Amber on Tuesday. Amber is being evaluated at St. John’s Hospital and received a quick visit from Shirley a few hours after authorities responded to his call two days ago. For the sake of her child, Leah (above), let’s all hope Portwood finds peace and happiness in the very near future.
