Ellen DeGeneres aired her first show today since the Newtown shooting that claimed the lives of 26 individuals on Thursday. And although the hour itself featured Bradley Cooper and Bruno Mars and included the usual Ellen jokes (and dancing, of course), the host kicked off the outing with an emotional speech. Saying her goal everyday “is to make you happy and make you feel good for an hour,” Ellen concluded: “We’re gonna do the show today, but it’s gonna be a struggle cause my heart is broken for those families and for all the people in Newtown. Bronson Pelletier, an actor who portrayed a werewolf in The Twilight Saga, was arrested yesterday in Los Angeles for getting drunker than Lindsay Lohan on a Tuesday night. According to TMZ, here’s what went down: Pelletier’s pants. The 25-year old was removed from an airplane in Los Angeles after passengers complained of his drunk behavior. From there, sources say officers left Pelletier by a nearby gate… only to receive a call two hours later that the actor was at the airport. And NOT in the bathroom. So they returned and placed Pelletier under arrest for public intoxication. He was released not long after booking.
Mexican authorities have confirmed that the remains of the late singer Jenni Rivera have been identified and turned over to her family, CNN confirms. A Mexican-American superstar, Rivera died in a plane crash Sunday. Shortly after taking off from the northern city of Monterrey on her way to Toluca, the Learjet 25 carrying Rivera and six members of her team crashed. Officials wouldn’t confirm her death until they found remains, but feared the worst. Rivera’s mother Rosa Saavedra had held out hope she would be alive. Lupillo, Juan and Gustavo, Jenni’s three brothers, had traveled to Monterrey to identify their sister’s body and are in the airport about to take a flight to L.A. My name is Ashley and on November 28th my dream came true. This was my second Believe tour concert I was going to and I never thought anything like this would ever happen to me. I had been counting down the days just to see this concert and then 2 days before the concert, my friend and I had found out the best news of our lives. We were meeting Justin Bieber! I never thought I was going to hear those words . We had gotten to Madison Square Garden and had been waiting on the meet and greet line for 4 hours. I was so excited, I couldn’t wait any longer. While we were waiting I saw Kenny. I ran up to him right away and asked for a picture but he was not allowed to take any. I had met Kenny before at an airport and after we met, he followed and tweeted me so seeing him again I said, “Kenny do you remember me from the airport?” He just thought for a few minutes and then right away he was like, “Yes of course I do how are you” Right there I literally almost cried that he remembered me. Now the line was starting to move. I was flipping out, shaking and didn’t know what to do with myself. I was up next in line and it was just me and my friend going in. I was so happy that I knew that I was going to be able to stand next to him. It was our turn now, I ran in and said, “OMG HI JUSTIN” and hugged him. He could not be nicer and said, “Hi how are you?” We took the picture and I said “OMG JUSTIN I LOVE YOU SO MUCH THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING” he said “Love you too, enjoy the show”. I walked out of the room and just started hysterical crying, my dream had now came true after years and years of thinking that this day was never going to come. I didn’t think that it was real life that I just met him . I went to go watch the show now for the second time and even though I already saw it once it felt like the first time I saw it.
