Rain, Gabe and Bird Brown: Alaskan Bush People Stars Slammed By Fans For This Pic!

Alaskan Bush People is reportedly going to resume filming in a few weeks, even as Ami Brown’s battle with cancer continues. But as many fans as the series has, the show does have its detractor. Some call the show “fake.” Others … seem to just hate members of the Brown family and look for any opportunity to give them a hard time. This time, haters are roasting three of the Brown children over a single photo of the trio out shopping turned up. (Not this photo — this one’s from back in March) Rain Brown often gets hate because she’s on social media. Rain, Gabe, and Bird seem to have an especially close bond among the Brown siblings, because they often go out and about together. This time, the three of them went to Target in Santa Monica. (The audacity!) Well, the photo got shared by Alaskan Bush People: Exposed, and  Are you ready to see the photo that had everyone up-in-arms and roasting these three like it’s an aggressively unfunny episode of Fashion Police ? Here it is: It just looks like three people in a Target. But the commenters don’t see it that way: “What the heck is going on with Gabe?? Maybe he’s depressed cause he looks terrible!” That’s an awful thing to say! “What is up with Gabe’s hair? I wonder if he is aware he’s wearing an undershirt.” His hair is his hair. Also, tank tops are just shirts unless you’re going to, like, a wedding. They’re in Target. “Could someone please dress Bird… she is a fashion disaster.” She can put whatever fabrics over her flesh prison that she likes. “Gabe please do something with your hair you look like you need a good wash I know you live in the wilderness but you can still be clean.” He doesn’t even look dirty. His hair is just super curly, folks. “Now that your [sic] not in the woods Bird, please go to a dentist and have your tooth fixed.” You can’t even see her teeth in this pic. “Does gabe own a shirt.” Again, a tank top is a shirt. One commenter started off sounding complimentary … but their comment was the grossest of all. “Rain got her hair styled and hi-lighted when they moved to CA, as well as a modern wardrobe. She was actually looking like jail bait.” Just so that we’re clear, there’s no such thing as “jailbait” … that’s a term used to blame minors for the gross adults who sexualize them. Rain Brown dresses like a teenage girl. A reminder: Alaskan Bush People : Exposed is not a fan-site. Like, it sort of is … in that it can be a great source of information for fans … but it’s about “exposing” the family and therefore there are going to be a lot of haters. Obviously. There were also some complimentary comments. “Thanks for sharing your picture [of] the kids they all look good.” And, obviously, Ami Brown’s serious health issues are at the forefront of people’s minds. “Love the picture. Love the family.Love the show. Hope Ami is doing better. GOD BLESS all of you always.” Others took things a step further and tried to defend the Brown children from the hateful comments. “Talk about cyber bullying. Y’all all should be ashamed of yourself. Hope y’all don’t have kids & have to explain to them what your trying to do then tell them to do the opposite.” Well … this isn’t cyberbullying. But it is super, super rude and you’d have a hard time justifying your behavior if it weren’t for the relative anonymity of the internet. One of the people griping about their appearances was apparently offended that some people didn’t like the critical comments. “Good grief people! They cannot SEE your comments!! This is NOT a fan group! Do you not READ what a group is about before you join it?? What does the group name say??” Well, since haters don’t hesitate to post nasty things in stars’ social media comments — which many of them do see — we don’t see why people can’t post a few nice comments in other places. Especially on a site frequented by so many genuine fans.

Jenelle Evans: My Mom Deserves to Go to Jail!

Sometimes, when it comes to Jenelle Evans, all you can do is just sigh, shake your head, and go “Oh, honey …” This is one of those times. In the current season of Teen Mom 2, we've been seeing Jenelle's relationship with her mother, Barbara, worsen as they get closer and closer to their big court date. A few years ago, Jenelle decided to stop doing heroin and start trying to be a mother, and ever since then, she and Barbara have been going to court to figure something out with the custody of poor Jace . After a bit of rescheduling — and after their lawyers managed to push back the final court date a few times — they finally settled the custody deal in May. We already know what happened, but in the world of Teen Mom 2, the big day is just a few weeks away. And things have been super, super tense. In last week's episode, we saw Jenelle show up at a restaurant where Barbara was trying to have dinner with friends and harass her until she felt she had to leave. She accused Barbara of being drunk , which obviously wasn't true, and then of driving drunk with Jace and a couple of other kids in the car. When her mom got sick of the accusations and left, Jenelle went to her house and banged on the doors and windows for two hours, then called the police. When she told this story, she seemed to think that she was in the right , and she and her fiancé, David Eason, insisted that the scene they'd made had ensured that Jenelle would get custody of Jace at their court date. It was really, really bizarre, and that theme continues in this sneak peek of the upcoming episode. In this clip, Jenelle and David are having a little chat about Barbara. The issue is that it's Mother's Day weekend, and Jenelle wants to spend the holiday with Jace — but Barbara won't respond to her phone calls. Which makes sense, considering what had just happened between them. “You know, it really upsets me that Jace isn't here,” she told David. “And all the other kids are here. You know, Maryssa's spending Mother's Day with her mom.” “Everyone's with their mom, but not my son.” Meanwhile, Jenelle's other son, Kaiser is playing unsupervised in another room, but he's apparently not who she's referring to here. “It's your mom's fault,” David remarks. “What a great mother.” Does anyone else think it's weird that David is commenting on someone else's parenting when he's facing jail time because he violated a restraining order in place against him for his own son? But yeah, sure, let's bash Barbara. David theorizes that Babs isn't letting Jenelle see Jace because of what happened at that restaurant, because she's “scared” that they're going to get more evidence against her for the custody case. He also says that Barbara “knows that she's probably gonna lose Jace,” so she's trying to get in a bunch of time with him before the hearing. Meanwhile, Jenelle says that they need to come up with a deal in court where “it has to be set in stone that she cannot hold Jace from me, and if she does, she gets contempt of court and goes to jail.” OK, so a few things here. One, obviously Barbara doesn't want Jace to go to Jenelle's for Mother's Day. She's the one who raised him, she's the one who parents him — she may not be his biological mother, but in all other ways, she is his mom. Two, shut up, David. Three, If Barbara has full custody of Jace and there's no visitation schedule in place — which is the case for this scene — she can hold him from whoever she wants. Why does Jenelle have such a hard time understand everything? Watch the tense scene in the video below:

Ami Brown: Hospitalized Again During Battle with Cancer

We miss the days when Alaskan Bush People news had to do with finding materials or battling the elements, instead of Ami Brown’s battle with stage four lung cancer . Despite everything, the Brown family has been forging on and making a new life in Colorado, this time a short distance from a hospital in case things with Ami at home should take a turn for the worse. Having medical care nearby was a good call, because the latest update on the Brown family says that Ami is back in the hospital. The Brown family, the stars of Alaskan Bush People — even though they’re now in Colorado — had been grappling with Ami Brown’s tragic cancer diagnosis. They’ve been dealing with it on camera this season, but the fight for her health and for her life continues off camera, too. Though Alaskan Bush People fans implored the Brown children to not close Browntown , the family had clearly had enough of roughing it in Alaska. Honestly, everyone had expected that, between Ami’s cancer diagnosis and how long the series had been running, that the Brown family would just move on and use their reality TV money to live normal lives. You know, back in civilization. (Of course, some Alaskan Bush People fans claim that the show is fake because the Brown family has supplies that aren’t foraged, but … no matter what your stance on that might be, the Brown kids weren’t living normal lives) But the show has still been running strong, and a while back it was reported that they were going ahead with yet another season. We just hope that Ami Brown can hold on and get more time with her family. But, as you know, she’s returned to the hospital. The Facebook page known as Alaskan Bush People : Exposed has kept the world abreast of knowledge of the Brown family that doesn’t quite make it on camera. They posed this oddly cheerful update: “Just a quick update Ami is in the hospital and still being treated with chemotherapy. We will update as soon as any more details become available. Have a great weekend!” This doesn’t sound like it was an emergency treatment, so it’s better than Ami having been rushed to the emergency room. (Which sometimes happens with cancer patients) Alaskan Bush People : Exposed haven’t provided any other updates or clarification, but we hope that this is just another scheduled round of chemo to help give Ami more time with her husband and her children. In the mean time, Ami Brown’s young daughter, Rain, has gotten blasted on social media for posting selfies on Instagram while her mother has cancer. This kind of criticism is absurd, but sadly not uncommon — people who’ve never had a loved one get a cancer diagnosis often don’t realize that life goes on, no matter the circumstances. Rain Brown posting flower crown selfies to Instagram and enjoying her life is exactly what Ami Brown wants for her daughter to experience. We’ve seen this with other celebrity kids whose parents are sick. We’ve even seen this kind of thing with the Brown family. Some fans have slammed Noah Brown for “abandoning” his family when really he’s just living his life and going places with his fiancee, as if visiting a zoo and loving his mother are mutually exclusive. Fans who expect every Brown family social media post to be some sort of weeping, black-and-white tribute to Ami Brown don’t understand family, or grief, or life. We’re all rooting for the Brown family matriarch to pull through. Fans just wished Ami Brown happy birthday last week, and they aren’t prepared to see her go. Neither, we’re sure, is Ami’s large if unconventional family. We don’t know what will become of the family or the series if Ami loses her battle, and it’s hard to imagine the entire Brown family going on as before without Ami. For now, though, she’s getting these chemo treatments to fight tooth-and-nail for her life. That’s all that anyone can do. View Slideshow: Alaskan Bush People: 13 Secrets They Don’t Want You to Know

Alaskan Bush People Recap: Yes, It’s Cancer

The sad rumor turned into an unfortunate reality on Wednesday night. Following weeks of chatter heading into the final season of Alaskan Bush People, the latest installment of this popular Discovery Channel series confirmed the truth about star Ami Brown… … she has been diagnosed with lung cancer. “Ami started getting sick months ago and we didn’t know what it was, but it changed from the point of ‘something’s wrong’ to ‘something’s wrong ,’” Ami’s husband, Billy, told the camera on this week’s episode. In previews for Season 7 of the show – which centers on a family who has basically cut itself off from civilization and who lives off the land in Alaska – there were hints that Brown was ill. There’s been talk that she was even flown to Los Angeles for treatment. This is what really got folks talking, considering how rarely members of the Browns visit the lower United States. The final set of Alaskan Bush People episodes started filming three months ago. They premiered last Wednesday with a focus on Ami undergoing a biopsy after a number of scans revealed a disturbing mass in her lungs. “Everybody, of course, knows that it will come out good – so we just have to be strong,” said 22-year old daughter Bird last night, trying to remain optimistic as she and her siblings awaited test results. Later on, however, 30-year old Bear went over to a car with a flower for his mom… and noted right away that the news was not positive. His brother, Matt, agreed. He felt the same way. “Seeing mom and dad get out of the car I … kind of already get a feeling that it hasn’t gone too well,” he said, adding: “In one way, I can say that everything in my life has prepared me for this moment. In another way, nothing can.” In the end, it was left to Billy to confirm the family’s worst fears. “Not good. Not good at all,” he told his kids of the exam outcome, explaining as follows: “They’ve got to do some more tests and stuff and what they can see is stage 3 cancer. She could easily be stage 4.” Alaskan Bush People Season 7 Preview: The Biggest Challenge Yet Stage four is the most serious level for a cancer. It typically means the patient does not have a lot of time left. “I don’t care who you are. I don’t care what you’ve been through. I don’t care how old you are. If you hear that your mother has cancer, it’s going to shock you,” said Rain, 14, the youngest of the seven Brown children. “I just wish I could change it somehow. I’m very scared for her,” she added. For Ami, meanwhile, the fear of what will happen to her appeared to be less cumbersome than her concern over the impact this will have on her loved ones. “She doesn’t want to be a burden on someone,” Billy said of his wife. “That’s not Ami. Ami is to take the burden away and take care of everything, but she has to admit to herself that she can’t be that right now. “It’s just time for us to pay it back to her right now, it’s all I think we can do.” To conclude this recap of the latest Alaskan Bush People episode, we’ll leave you with a few words from Ami. Bill and the kids are very loving and supportive. They’re all worried. I tell them, don’t worry. Please don’t worry. Be happy … keep the faith. Good or bad, it’s God’s will and we’ll walk that road. There’s a lot for the kids to experience. I want to be there. I want to hold their babies. I want to hear them laughing … I want to see their eyes wide with enthusiasm as they experience these new things. We’ll continue to tune in each Wednesday night at 9/8c to Discovery and hope that things turn around for Ami. “This is not the end of the road,” said 27-year old son, keeping a hopeful viewpoint and concluding: “It looks like it’s going to be the beginning of maybe a very long, very hard road for everybody. “But we’re just going to have to be stronger than ever and keep up the faith in the good Lord and make it through this.”
