We love Adam Lambert , but the guy has to give Kris Allen a break. First, he received more publicity than Allen after American Idol , even though the latter actually won. Then, he set a release date for his new album (November 23) just a few days after Allen’s hits stores (November 17)

Yesterday, 68 year-old Washington Post editor Henry Allen (pictured!) hauled off and popped staff writer Manuel Roig-Franzia right in his grill , like BLAM! The Washington City Paper now has all the details, and we are prepared to make a ruling. Erik Wemple reports that Allen and Roig-Franzia had been beefing for days before the incident, ever since Henry questioned one of Manuel’s stories and Manuel called him a “dick.” Then, last Friday, Manuel allegedly “reached across the table and grabbed Allen’s notepad, tearing a page from it.” Cruising for a bruising, Manuel. Selling woof tickets.

Lily Allen’s Shag Appeal

Lily's experimental looks. At last week's Q Awards, British cutie Lily Allen unveiled a new 'do: a choppy shag with side-swept bangs that works with Lily's heart-shaped face. Lily has done all sorts of things with her hair over the past couple of years. She's been blonde and bubblegum pink, and appears to have an extensive collection of wigs at her disposal as well. While we liked Lily's old blunt bangs and ponytail, this new chop is incredibly flattering. But Lily's cuts are always cute. Earlier this month, the season-seven “American Idol” runner-up released Christmas From the Heart, which features 12 Christmas favorites as well as a new song Archuleta co-wrote, called “Melodies of Christmas.” The 18-year-old told MTV News that working on an original holiday tune came naturally.
