Hollywood is in mourning. Frank Gifford died at the age of 84 Sunday, with the impact of his passing felt across both the entertainment landscape and the sports landscape. Gifford was a star quarterback many decades ago for the New York Giants before earning national acclaim as a broadcaster. He was also married to talk show host Kathie Lee Gifford. The brunette beauty is trending on Facebook today because she’s breastfeeding her baby for all to see, as Trunfio becomes the latest famous female to stand up for this personal and parental cause. “There is nothing more powerful and beautiful than motherhood,” Trunfio wrote on her social media page along with this picture. “The last thing I want to do is be controversial, so please take this for what it is, let us #normalizebreastfeeding. there is nothing worse than a mother that is judged for feeding her hungry child in public.” Except mothers get judged for this act all the time. Michael Buble hit a sour note on Instagram yesterday. The singer was on vacation in Miami with his wife when the couple spotted a woman rocking some SERIOUSLY short shorts. We’re talking exposed bottom butt cheeks and everything. So Buble snapped a picture with the lady in the background, shared it online and wrote as a caption: “There was something about this photo lu took ,that seemed worthy of instagram. #myhumps #babygotback #hungryshorts #onlyinmiami #picoftheday #beautifulbum.” Funny? Foul? Most of the Internet went with the latter. Facing accusations of sexism and being referred to as “disgusting” by quite a few Instagram users, Buble went on Facebook today and issued a statement. “Anyone who knows me would never misinterpret the message of the photo my wife took in Miami that seems to have caused unexpected rage by some people.” Buble wrote. “I do not court controversy. But I realize that a photo that was meant to be complimentary and lighthearted has turned into a questionable issue. For the record, it hurts me deeply that anyone would think that I would disrespect women or be insulting to any human being.” The artist went on to say that he regrets if anyone found the picture “offensive” because that wasn’t his intention, concluding: “Women are to be celebrated, loved, respected, honored and revered. It reads: “We know that there are times when people might want to share nude images that are artistic or creative in nature.” However, “for a variety of reasons,” the site says it does not allow actual “nudity,” elaborating with what it means: “This includes photos, videos and some digitally-created content that show sexual intercourse, genitals, and close-ups of fully-nude buttocks.” The parent-based changes arrive months after Alyssa Milano, Jaime King, Alanis Morisette, Doutzen Krous and other stars documented their breastfeeding moments for all to see online and complained over backlash to them. “I just think it’s important for women to feel comfortable feeding their babies wherever,” Milano previously told E!
