Holly Valance Covers Ups The Goods

Remember Holly Valance ? I’m pretty sure I used to post her on the site for some reason, I think she was one of those British chicks who rose to fame by having her picture taken with her boobs out in some trashy newspaper Rupert Murdoch owned, but I could be thinking of someone else. Anyway, here she is looking pretty sexy with her top on at some party for lotion in London. No really, it’s a party for something called Eight Hour Cream by Elizabeth Arden… Sounds dirty, I like it.

REVIEW: Amanda Seyfried Makes One Crazy-Looking — But Sympathetic — Blythe Doll in Gone

In the vigilante fantasy Gone , Amanda Seyfried plays Jill, a young Portland woman who can’t shake the memory of her abduction a year ago. She managed to slip through the guy’s clutches – he’d been holding her at the bottom of a deep pit in a sprawling local park – but the local cops, after finding no evidence of said hole (it’s a very big park), decided she made the whole thing up. Then one night Jill’s sister (Emily Wickersham) goes missing in a similar fashion: When Jill goes to the cops for help, they eye her warily, all except newbie detective Wes Bentley , who purrs at her creepily, in a red-herring sort of way. The thing about Seyfried is that she does look a little – OK, a lot — like a crazy waif, capable of making up any old thing and getting you to believe it by blinking those saucer-sized Blythe-doll eyes. She does a lot of that here, and she’s part of what makes Gone reasonably effective: Seyfried can look fragile, feral or a combination of both. Her skin is so translucent that she looks something like a pond creature, delicate and mysterious but also capable of staying underwater for a long, long time without breathing – in other words, she can surely take care of herself. Which is why you never worry too much about her character in Gone – you know she’ll come out on top, but it’s fun to doubt her here and there along the way. The picture is very simply constructed, using a minimum of tricks as it works its way toward its inevitable conclusion. (The director is Brazilian filmmaker Heitor Dhalia; the script is by Allison Burnett.) Essentially, Jill spends a day following a sequence of clues: She finds a possibly significant hardware-store receipt and treks to the establishment to quiz its super-friendly owner. (You know, the kind of guy who’ll sell you duct tape, a shovel, a flashlight and a mini-saw, chuck it all in a paper sack and say, “You have a great day now!”) En route to her prey, she queries a slacker kid about a mysterious fellow who’s been living in a local divey hotel. The kid warns her that the man in question is kind of shady: “My girlfriend says he has rapey-eyes.” Whatever those are – and it’s all too easy to imagine – you wouldn’t want to meet them in a dark alley, or at the bottom of a deep hole. As vigilante thrillers go, Gone is actually kind of subtle – perhaps too subtle. The movie repeatedly tosses the “Can we believe her or can’t we?” coin to the point where we don’t even have to guess. But ultimately, the plot doesn’t really hinge on who the would-be killer is, or even on the question of whether or not we can believe Jill. The more resonant question is, What happens when authority figures think they don’t have to take a pretty, sweet-looking girl seriously? The creepiest thing in Gone isn’t the inevitable showdown between Jill and her prey; it’s the way the cops stalk her (she’s toting an illegal firearm, which, they’ve decided, makes her Public Enemy #1), talk about her behind her back as if she were just some random loony (she did spend time in a mental hospital), and use the people she trusts to help reel her in. The aura of slow-burning paranoia is the best thing about the picture, though it’s not enough to fully sustain it. In the end, Gone really does have to be about Jill’s being smart enough to outwit her possibly imaginary nemesis – that’s what the audience comes to see, after all. Seyfried, a mini-Valkyrie with flaxen hair, can take care of herself all right. Still, those moments where you think she just might be an attention-seeking hysterical cutie-pie are exactly what gives the movie’s ending its satisfying click. Seyfried has spent too much time lately in vehicles that aren’t worthy of her, Red Riding Hood being the most egregious example. Gone at least takes her seriously – except when, to delicious effect, it doesn’t. Follow Stephanie Zacharek on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .

Emily Browning Naked in Sleeping Beauty Caps of the Day

Her name is Emily Browning. She’s 23 from Asustralia. You know her her award winning role in Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events or maybe you know her from the Hallmark channel’s Echo of THunder…..or maybe it was the Amanda Seyfried replacement in Sucker Punch…. well it turns out that she went for an intense role to make up for that Sucker Punch cash grab in this Sleeping Beauty shit…where she gets naked for old men….or whatever the fuck is going on here and I think that effort to re-invent herself for Oscars instead of Disney smut is good…especially when naked, in lingerie and showing little nipple and a little bush….here are the screencaps….

Amanda Seyfried Looks Like Madonna

Maybe it’s just me, but big eyed hottie Amanda Seyfried sure looks a hell of a lot like Madonna in these shots. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Shake it off Tuna, this chick is a hot young piece, not an old haggard chick with weird arms and a strange fake accent. I guess Madonna was kinda hot for a few months back in the day. Wasn’t she? Anyhow, Amanda and her sexy secret big breasts have got a special place in my pants so I’ll forgive her this time.

Behind the Scenes of Lovelace: "It’s More American Pie Than Lars Von Trier"

Shooting on Lovelace has wrapped in Los Angeles, and along with a sneak preview of Amanda Seyfried in character as Linda Lovelace (left), a new New York Times article about the production tells us a little of what to expect from the porn biopic. Unlike Inferno , which has been described as an unrelentingly dark bummer-fest by star Malin Akerman , the stars of Lovelace say they’re bringing more of a Boogie Nights vibe to their movie. Adrian Brody , who plays real-life Lovelace co-star Harry Reems , says his sex scenes with Amanda Seyfried are “ by far the lightest, silliest stuff in the movie, ” which he describes as “more ‘ American Pie ’ than it is Lars von Trier .” Seyfried herself seems similarly upbeat about the (literal and figurative) exposure that the film will bring her, as noted by the NYT reporter: “‘This film is really, I feel, the beginning of something else for me,’ said the actress, who was un-self-consciously sporting a frilly, translucent white dress that showed off a bit more than her silhouette.” Nice! A happy, naked Amanda is a happy Mr. Skin…and Amanda wants to bring Linda some posthumous happiness, too: “I’d want to make her happy,” she said. “That’s first and foremost what I’d want. I’d want to make her happy if she were alive today.” Feel the love with Amanda Seyfried nude right here at MrSkin.com

Billy Bob Thornton Writing Road Movie Inspired by Angelina Jolie Relationship

This should be interesting: Variety’s Gregg Goldstein reports from Berlinale that Billy Bob Thornton is working on a script for an “‘ethereal’ road movie” entitled And Then We Drove . Based partly on experiences from his time with ex Angelina Jolie , Thornton says “[it’s about] a guy who’s on a road trip and picks up this girl along the way, and what happens to them. It’s about the question of life: ‘What is this? Where do I fit in?'” Or, maybe: Honey, Have You Seen My Vial of Blood? Thornton, who premiered his latest directorial effort Jayne Mansfield’s Car in Berlin, will also direct. [ Variety ]

Amanda Seyfried Goes Porny for Deep Throat Vintage Art

Happy Monday! With filming underway on Lovelace , one of two competing biopics about ’70s porn actress turned anti-porn advocate Linda Lovelace, the New York Times has a look at a faux-vintage poster featuring Amanda Seyfried as the XXX starlet in her star-making 1972 skin flick, Deep Throat . Lovelace’s life story, as we’ve touched on before , is a very dark one; after rising in the porn ranks, Lovelace broke off and accused husband Chuck Traynor of abuse and forcing her into sex acts and prostitution. The NYT profile addresses the darkness of Lovelace’s tale, curiously enough, as an element producer Heidi Jo Markel and Co. wanted to balance out with levity; it also highlights the link and difference in approach between Markel and rival Lovelace project Inferno , which Markel was once helping to develop. But first things first: Before the Lovelace war really heats up, and until we see just how directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman pull off their version of things (check out the James Franco-as-Hugh Hefner propositioning Lovelace anecdote at the end for a taste), let’s take a closer look at Seyfried as the porn icon. Malin Akerman Wants You to Know Inferno is "Dark"

Kinda like her sex scene in Watchmen (2009). You need a pair of night-vision goggles for that thing! Anyway, Malin Akerman was on the festival circuit last week when MTV asked her about Inferno , one of a pair of proposed Linda Lovelace biopics (the other being Lovelace ). One might be forgiven for thinking Inferno has been beaten to the (donkey) punch by Amanda Seyfried & co, who are currently shooting their movie even as Malin’s project struggles to get off the ground. For her part, Malin is noncommittal: “Either we have to do it now, or we have to let it go,” she says. “That’s one of the potentials that might be happening within the next month or two. We’ll see.” More from Malin Akerman on Inferno after the jump!

Amanda Seyfried’s Retro Sexiness

So I was a little excited when I heard that Amanda Seyfried was chosen to play a pornstar in some up coming movie, I was hoping it was a biopic on Jenna Jameson, but when I found out she was playing 70′s pornstar Linda Lovelace I wasn’t all that impressed. Here she is on set looking a little too authentic for my taste. Do you think she’s got a giant 70′s bush under there just to be authentic? Gross. Maybe it’s a pubic toupee. I wonder if we’ll see her boobs.

Maria Fowler Motorboats Her Friend

People ask me all the time why I keep posting pictures of all these busty British chicks that nobody over here knows anything about…. Hmm, let me think, they like to wear tight revealing outfits, got to parties, booze and behave inappropriately. Here’s Maria Fowler motorboating on of her trashy friends, making out with another one and drinking vodka straight from the bottle. Awesome! This chick is marriage material.
