Matt Baier: About Those Amber Portwood Abuse Rumors …

Amber Portwood and Matt Baier have never been our favorite Teen Mom couple. After all, with reports that Matt tried to holler at both Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans before finally succeeding with Amber, and with that whole thing about him being a deadbeat dad of a still unproven amount of children … Like, why would we ever be into him? But despite the protests of Teen Mom fans everywhere, Amber is still with Matt, and they’re planning on getting married this October . Or at least, that was the plan before all the abuse allegations hit the fan. Earlier this week, some questionable photos of Matt Baier surfaced — photos that showed some pretty nasty injuries that seemed to be from a fight. In one photo, Matt has some bloody cuts on his face, and in another, he has a black eye. Not only that, but the photos were actually screenshots of texts — along with the pictures, Matt wrote messages like “Look what she just did” and “Remember this is the woman who did this!” So the easy assumption would be that these are photos from Matt claiming that Amber abused him, right? After all, Amber has a history of domestic violence , and we saw her viciously attack Gary Shirley more than once. She’s come a long, long way since then, but still, fans have noted that the background in one of Matt’s photos matches a room in Amber’s house, and the glasses he’s wearing are his current ones. As much as we don’t want to believe that Amber, much less 2017 Amber, could do something like this, could it actually be true? According to a statement Matt gave People, absolutely not. “The rumor that’s circulating is both vicious and completely false,” the statement begins. “I can’t stand by and allow the media or anyone else to undermine the progress that Amber has made in turning her life around, or the relationship we’ve worked hard to build together.” “The photo that surfaced is nothing more than the result of some roughhousing amongst my guy friends,” he explains. “I got my butt kicked by a friend, and it was well-deserved, I might add.” “Now someone’s trying to use the pic to paint an untrue picture of our life together.” “Amber would never lay a hand on me,” Matt concludes, “and I can’t wait to marry the love of my life in October.” So there you have it. The photos have nothing to do with Amber, their relationship is lovely and beautiful and all good things, and we’re all dumb for believing otherwise. However, let’s also remember that at one point in this new season of Teen Mom OG, Amber breaks down while trying on wedding dresses , telling a friend “You can love each other and want to be with each other for the rest of your life and still not trust each other.” So hey, even if the abuse rumors aren’t true, maybe still don’t get married? Just a thought.

Amber Portwood: Struggling with Weight Gain and Mental Illness

Sometimes it seems like Amber Portwood just can’t catch a break. Between her issues with addiction, the hard reality that comes with being a teen mom (and a Teen Mom), and, you know, Matt Baier , things have always looked kind of rough for her. To add onto her pile of hardships, she’s also got a number of mental illnesses: she’s been open about her anxiety and her bipolar disorder, and more recently she’s been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder . It’s a lot to deal with, and as Amber reveals in a new interview with Women’s Health, she doesn’t deal with it all that well at times. She says that she spent a good part of 2015 losing weight that she’d steadily gained after getting sober, and she got down to 130 pounds, which was a good weight for her. But then, in 2016, she found herself profoundly depressed. So much so that Matt had to drag her out of bed. She went to see a psychiatrist, which is when she received the borderline personality diagnosis. “When I got the diagnosis,” she says, “I wanted to keep it a secret.” “While everyone knew about my other diagnoses — I’ve had anxiety since I was a kid, for as long as I can remember — I guess it was tragic to think I had another mental disorder.” For a while, Matt was the only person who knew, and he actually accompanied her to one of her appointments so her doctor could talk to him. When Amber was told that she’d most likely be on medications to deal with her mental disorders for the rest of her life, she broke down, but she says Matt was there to hold her hand. Matt Baier, doing something sweet and not completely creepy ? The mind boggles. Amber was put on some new medications, including a mood stabilizer. She says she’s happy with what she’s on because she feels “amazing and normal” now, and her meds aren’t ones she can get addicted to. But when she started the meds, she got “cravings like crazy,” and she also got “very tired.” And neither of those things are good for weight loss. In that time, she gained back all the weight she’d worked so hard to lose months before. She tried a no-carb, no-sugar diet — the diet that helped her lose the weight in the first place — but it didn’t work for her. As of now, she’s lost 10 pounds, and though there’s “extra pressure” to lose more weight for her wedding in October (gag), “I’m using that as motivation.” The whole point of sharing her story, she says, is because so many medications for mental illnesses cause weight gain. “For women who are suffering from mental health issues, I want them to know that other people are going through the same thing,” she explains. “And you don’t have to do this alone.” You’re a gem, Amber. You really are. Now drop Matt Baier and own it.

Kailyn Lowry: I’m Writing a Book About My Third Baby Daddy!

Kailyn Lowry is obviously a big fan of going through difficult life experiences and them publishing books about them. That’s why she’s already released two memoirs at the tender age of 25. But, to be fair, Kailyn’s been through a lot in her short life. She had an absent father and an alcoholic mother, she had her first child at 16 years old, she’s already had one divorce, she’s been through a rape and a miscarriage . So really, it just makes sense that now that she’s pregnant with her third child — her third child with her third partner, just in case anyone’s keeping count — she’d deal with it with another book. Yep, you heard us right: Kailyn is writing a book all about her third baby daddy. We first heard about the book on Twitter, when a fan asked her “Do you think you’ll write a 3rd book that talks about the feelings you experienced to decide to have one more ‘tiny human’?” She responded with “I have already signed a contract for it!” Shortly after that, an insider described the book as “something many wouldn’t expect” and “not like her previous books.” And now we know. Kailyn gave a statement to Real Mr. Housewife about her upcoming book, explaining that “I will be telling the story of how I ended up pregnant and about my baby’s father, but, no, I will not be revealing his name.” She said that “It’s a story about the baby and heartbreak,” but interestingly enough, “It’s basically a novel.” Though she does add that it’s “based on a true story.” So … huh. We haven’t heard much at all about this guy who fathered Kailyn’s new baby, but it does seem like there’s a strong possibility it could be a friend of hers named Chris Lopez . Her publicist didn’t name him, but she did say that “The father is a friend Kail was briefly dating.” And then, in an Instagram live video, she was discussing possible baby names, and she made a joke about how “Chris” would react to a certain name. She ended the video right after the slip, and many took it as a sign that she accidentally revealed the identity of the baby’s father. So pairing all that information with Kailyn’s statement, it seems like she was briefly with some guy, perhaps Chris, and while the relationship didn’t end well, she still got pregnant. Oh, girl. Simon Saran SLAMS Amber Portwood & Matt Baier Over Wedding Invite!

For someone who seems to be trying to make a career out of being a douche, Simon Saran simply isn’t very good at trash talk. We suppose if you consider the quantity of shade thrown, he’s posting GOAT-level numbers, but his humor is on par with roast night at a community college frat house. Simon’s not sending anyone running to the burn unit, is what we’re saying. These days, the main target of his weak-sauce disses is Amber Portwood and her fiance, Matt Baier. Now, you really couldn’t ask for an easier target than Baier. The man is a middle-aged Teen Mom obsessive and deadbeat dad who’s marrying Amber after unsuccessfully cyber-stalking several of her co-stars. Saran has taken shots at Baier on several occasions, but they never quite land the way they should. His latest attempt at insult comedy was inspired by Amber’s recent comments about her upcoming wedding. To the surprise of many Portwood revealed that she plans to invite all of her Teen Mom co-stars – including Simon and Farrah Abraham – to watch her say “I do.” “Every single Teen Mom [star] will be invited,” Amber told People. “Every single one from Teen Mom 2 and Teen Mom OG.” It was a surprising announcement, as the last time we saw all four cast members in the same place was when Amber and Farrah fought at last season’s Teen Mom: OG reunion show. Simon might actually be the thirstiest of the franchise’s deeply parched stars, so it was only a matter of time before he sounded off on Amber’s comments. And as expected, his smack talk was as lame as Farrah’s claims that her porn debut was actually an amateur sex tape : “I haven’t been to a circus in a while, it could be fun,” Saran told Radar Online. Bruh. You bothered to make a statement, but you couldn’t come up with anything better than comparing their wedding to a circus? If you follow him on Twitter, you know that Simon is constantly trying to pick a fight with Amber and Matt. Saran’s insults are usually uninspired, but this latest is corny even by his standards. “All of a sudden everyone is buying a house,” he joked when Portwood and Baier were looking at homes this season. “Everyone got their MTV bonuses and got no jobs! You actually need to have a job and do something with your life to have an office Matt!” That’s a bit  more like it, but before we can co-sign that burn, we’d like to know what percentage of Simon’s income is Teen Mom-related. If it’s more than half, he surrenders his right to take shots at Matt’s joblessness. Sorry, Simon. Them’s the arbitrary rules we just made up. Matt Baier SLAMS Farrah Abraham: She’s a LOSER!

Back in December, the feud between Amber Portwood and Farrah Abraham came to a head when Amber’s fiance,  Matt Baier, attacked Farrah’s dad during a Teen Mom: OG reunion special. The consensus among fans is that Matt was way out of line, but it seems the Abrahams shouldn’t hold their breath awaiting an apology. As you may have heard, Baier is publishing a memoir , because who wouldn’t want to read about the inspirational saga of a forty-something Teen Mom obsessive weaseling his way onto the show he loves? The book has received a lot of attention due to the baffling decision to feature a nude Baier on the cover, but we now know that what’s inside the tell-all is almost as cringe-worthy. Excerpts from Baier’s book keep popping up online, and while we assume the “leaks” are choreographed PR stunts, we’re not so sure why the book’s publishers think posting large chunks of the book online is a good idea. From what we’ve read, the horrendously-titled You Have No F–king Idea is a lot like Baier himself – by turns boring and revolting, and stuck on the idea that a tendency to over-share can serve as a substitute for a personality. The latest leaks help illuminate Matt’s beef with Farrah Abraham, aka the most confusing reality show feud of all time. Farrah is openly and objectively a bad person, so we should be on board with anyone who calls her out on her bullsh-t, but Matt is just as much of a shameless opportunist, and his trash talk mostly amounts to slut-shaming and petty name-calling: “Everybody who comes into contact with Farrah seems to have ‘victimized’ her,” her writes at one point, before blaming Teen Mom producers for the fact that he and Farrah’s boyfriend, Simon Saran, aren’t besties: “An MTV producer told Amber and I to [insult Saran],” Baier writes before adding: “He loves to hide behind his computer and talk sh-t about what a tough guy he is.” On the topic of Farrah, Matt has this to say: “Is she interesting to watch? No. She’s not some unique, polarizing figure with passionate opinions. She’s just mean.” He’s not wrong. But then, as he always does, Matt takes it too far: “Farrah is going to be a sad, wretched excuse for a former television celebrity … Her family is going to turn their backs on her.” “They’re desperate for attention and fame … Think about the future Abrahams.” Matt then takes a break from conjuring up a sad future for Farrah to claim that she’s had too much work done for him to “find her attractive” and imply that she’s lying about being raped by James Deen . Teen Mom: What Do the Dads Do for a Living?!

Don't you just love Teen Mom? All the cute kids. All the relationship drama . All the … no, that pretty much covers it. But while we all love the show (genuinely or not, whichever), and while we all know more than we probably should about these total strangers, there are still things we don't know, or generally don't pay attention to. For instance, what do the men of the show do for a living? Sure, they get paid handsomely for letting MTV air their dirty laundry , but they've got to do other stuff in their downtime, right? Check out all these guys' occupations — some will surprise you! 1. Tyler Baltierra Tyler does lots of stuff! He’s definitely one of the most active male stars of Teen Mom, and he also enjoys writing — he and Caitlynn Lowry have already released one book! In addition to that, he’s shown interest in going into social work or counseling. 2. Simon Saran OK, so Simon Saran isn’t a father yet — though who knows what Farrah Abraham has in store for him — but let’s throw him in, just for fun. Simon is actually pretty successful in real estate. And also bragging about being successful in real estate. 3. Ryan Edwards Ryan Edwards, believe it or not, used to be a lineman, risking his personal safety to work on those power lines. He may still do that, or he may be focusing his time and energy on being obnoxious and shady right now. It’s unclear. 4. Taylor McKinney Taylor McKinney is married to Maci Bookout, and they share a clothing company called Things That Matter. Before that, Taylor was a motocross rider. 5. Gary Shirley Gary Shirley does a little of this, a little of that … He judges Amber Portwood professionally, and he’s also released his own brand of condoms! And as if that weren’t enough, he’s gotten in on the business of selling baked goods on the internet, too. 6. Matt Baier Somehow, against all odds, Matt Baier (not an official Teen Mom dad, but hey) has managed to make time in his busy schedule of being a douchebag to do some work! Simon Saran: I’m Here For Catelynn Lowell!

Wait… is Simon Saran trying to play the peacekeeper of the Teen Mom cast these days? Farrah Abraham’s boyfriend has shockingly opened up about the cheating allegations surrounding Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell and his comments are surprisingly nice.  “I feel really bad about everything,” Saran told Radar. “Marriage is something sacred between two people.” If you watch Teen Mom online , you’re probably wondering what the heck Simon knows about being in a loving relationship when all he and Farrah seem to do is argue. “I’m here for Catelynn if she needs anything,” Simon continued. It’s really difficult to judge whether Simon is being genuine or just trying to kick off another feud amongst everyone involved in the Teen Mom franchise.  Like Farrah, he has a knack for causing drama. It makes for good TV, but it leads to everyone questioning his motives when he is nice.  He even went as far as shouting on a weekly basis via Snapchat about how much he hated his fellow cast members. There was a terrible excuse about why the cheating would not be addressed on the series. Apparently, it did not fit the narrative for Baltierra and Lowell.  Surely, a bomb as huge as that would be used as a way to drum up some free publicity. The rumors could’ve been concocted out of thin air.  Tyler was quick to admit to cheating, but it seemed like he was joking.  “Damn it! We really tried keeping that a secret too! Well I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist her/him… idk it was dark and I was drunk,” he tweeted, as Lowell added, “Well since it’s out in the open @TylerBaltierra did cheat on me. He’s busted.” Now, with all of that fake  drama very much out in the open, Saran emerging from the woodwork is certainly odd.  However, he’s not the only cast member to open up about it.  Javi Marroquin and Amber Portwood recently revealed their thoughts on the matter, and they seemed to think that the rumors were untrue.  Given the way they came about, it all seems pretty absurd.  Either way, these cheating rumors and Simon extending the olive branch should be taken with a pinch of salt.  What do you think about all of this? Amber Portwood, Javi Marroquin React to Tyler Baltierra Cheating Rumors

Yesterday, we learned that some Teen Mom 2 fans aren’t great at understanding sarcasm, and a mini-scandal erupted on social media as a result. It all started when Tyler Baltierra took to Twitter to “confirm” the rumors that he had been caught cheating on Catelynn Lowell . Here’s what Tyler had to say: “Damn it! We really tried keeping that a secret too! Well I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist her/him… idk it was dark and I was drunk.” He and Catelynn proceeded to kid each other back and forth, as fans who got the joke praised them as #CoupleGoalsAF, while those who didn’t bemoaned the demise of TM2’s most beloved couple. We guess you can add Javi Marroquin and Amber Portwood to the list of folks who aren’t quite sure if Tyler was joking or making the most bizarre confession in the history of reality stars being way too candid on Twitter. “I doubt it’s true, those two are madly in love,” Marroquin told Radar Online. “I hope it’s not, I love those two together!” No stranger to this sort of controversy, Marroquin has been accused of cheating on Kailyn Lowry on more than one occasion. He played it a lot more straight than Baltierra, issuing sternly-worded denials a la Bill Clinton. Amber Portwood seemed more incredulous about the rumors, but still didn’t seem to quite understand that Tyler was joking. “It’s absolutely not true! That would never happen,” Portwood tweeted. Of course, despite the fact that Tyler and Catelynn were both able to laugh off the cheating, there is reason to believe the couple might be having legitimate problems. According to Radar Online, the couple hasn’t been photographed together in three months. Last year Lowell checked into rehab to be treated for various emotional issues, and many now believe that she’s back in treatment. That may not sound like a bad thing, but Tyler has expressed his frustrations with her ongoing mental health issues in the past: “You know what Cate? You better figure something out soon,” he told her on an episode of TM2. “Listen, if you go into this thing again I got to check out. I’ll get hardened. I’ll close everyone off. It’s safe that way.” So is Tyler cheating on Catelynn? Almost certainly not. Is all well in the Lowell household? Well, it’s too soon to go quite that far. Amber Portwood: Sued & EVICTED For Failure to Pay Rent?!

In the past, Teen Mom fans have applauded Amber Portwood’s success story, citing it as evidence that anyone can change, and there’s no such thing as a hopeless case. Now, however, it seems that the fan favorite has hit another rough patch, and viewers are beginning to wonder if her home life is really as stable as it seems. Last month Portwood was sued for leaving her former rental home in a state of disarray and failing to pay rent for the last two months that she lived there. Now, Radar Online is reporting that Amber is facing eviction  for allegedly repeating the same irresponsible behaviors in her new home. Court documents obtained by the site indicate that the landlord of Portwood and her fiance, Matt Baier, has begun eviction proceedings due to the couple’s repeated failure to pay rent. “The Plaintiff complains of the defendant and says that on June 3, 2016 the Plaintiff rented to the Defendant at a rent of $2,200 per month,” the court filing reads. “On February 8th 2017 said tenancy expired by the terms thereof for the reason late/unpaid rent, alterations to property without owner’s approval, excessive damage to property.” An eviction hearing has been scheduled in Lawrence Township Small Claims Court on March 9. It’s puzzling that Amber would fail to pat $2,200 in rent, considering recently released information about the Teen Mom stars’ salaries revealed that she’s doing quite well for herself. Both she and Baier struggled with substance abuse over the years, but are reportedly clean and sober these days. Of course, it’s difficult to imagine that two clean and sober parents with six figures in the bank could find themselves getting sued for failure to pay their modest rent twice within the span of a few months. It seems likely that Amber is keeping something not only from fans, but from Teen Mom: OG producers as well. Amber’s recent storylines on the show have mostly centered around her successful efforts to rebuild her life. While some fans have expressed concerns over her engagement to Baier , for the most part, she seems to have turned things around from the days when she was imprisoned for assault.
