Teen Mom Season 4 Will Be Final Season For Original Cast

It looks like Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood , Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout will be calling it a career after the upcoming fourth season of Teen Mom. MTV confirmed this in a statement Friday. If there’s any confusion this means the fourth and final season for just the cast members mentioned above. Teen Mom 2, featuring Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska and Kailyn Lowry just aired its second season and may still receive a third on MTV. Meanwhile, there will be a Teen Mom 3, with the cast selected from members of the all-new 16 & Pregnant cast … everybody clear on all this now? “Season 4 will be the final season of Teen Mom with Maci, Catelynn, Amber and Farrah,” MTV tells Us . “They will continue to be a part of our MTV family.” “We’re thankful to these brave young women for sharing their stories and helping to make a positive impact on teen pregnancy prevention.” There’s no specific date set for Season Four’s premiere. Sad to see the original stars retire? Amber Portwood’s police run-ins should keep her in the news, but will we ever hear from Maci, Farrah and Cate again?

Amber Portwood Fails to Provide Drug Test Sample, May Face Prison

Looks like Amber Portwood has screwed up again. Possibly big time. The troubled Teen Mom train wreck failed to take a required drug test, and as a result, could face the five-year prison sentence she just narrowly dodged . Portwood’s December drug arrest had her staring down a lengthy stint in the big house, but a judge promised to dismiss the entire case … with a big “if.” IF she completes a drug program … a stipulation that includes daily drug testing. Which she apparently couldn’t even give a sample for. Terrific work! Amber had been doing fairly well since being released from jail and moving in with her grandmother, but on Monday, she torpedoed all her short-lived progress. By failing to provide a urine sample during a routine drug test while she serves time on home detention, she may be in for it at her court check-up today. Amber allegedly failed to provide a sample because she simply couldn’t go at the time, but so it goes. No sample = failed test. No exceptions or excuses. She’ll have to answer for the failed test one way or another before a judge today, and we’ll have to see if the judge feels it warrants a probation violation. If so, she could be off to prison for a LONG time. Stay tuned. Will Amber Portwood end up back in jail? [Photo: Fame/Flynet]

Amber Portwood: Denied Access to Teen Mom Reunion

Troubled star Amber Portwood will not be present as the cast members of Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 head to NYC this weekend to participate in a reunion special. Amber’s mom, Tonya, tells E! that the judge overseeing her daughter’s probation denied permission for her to leave Anderson, Ind., to participate in the event. “He thinks it will interfere with her program,” says Tonya. Probably right. But despite the setback, Amber isn’t sweating it too hard. It wasn’t long ago before it looked like her filming days were done altogether. Now that she’s living at her grandma’s , the show may go on … ankle monitor style , but still. “I’m happy. Just stressed, but I’m happy,” says Portwood. Last week, she was released from the Madison County correctional facility where she had been since December after being busted for drug possession. Portwood is staying with her grandparents as she attends eight months of rehab at Sister 2 Sister Ministries (which won’t let her film Teen Mom there). If she were to violate her strict probation in any way, Amber Portwood faces a maximum of five years in prison on her felony drug-possession charge. Her baby daddy, Gary Shirley, posted on Facebook that he and their 3-year-old daughter, Leah, are flying to New York to participate in the special.

Teen Mom 3: Coming to MTV!

MTV has just given a green light to a third iteration of its popular Teen Mom franchise, according to reports. Teen Mom 3 will feature a new crop of kids … and their kids. This is not to be confused with Season Three of Teen Mom, starring Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood , Farrah Abraham and Catelynn Lowell, which is also in the works. The second season of Teen Mom 2, starring Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, Kailyn Lowry and Chelsea Houska, recently concluded (and will likely get a third season too). Who will be the latest fab four chosen by MTV? Critics say the shows glamorize teen pregnancy, though the rate has actually plummeted in recent years, and the storylines portrayed are more sad than glamorous overall. In any case, get ready for a third installment of the phenomenally successful Teen Mom brand, whose cast is selected from the previous crop of 16 and Pregnant stars. Who do you think it will be? It’s hard to say, given that the new season of 16 hasn’t even aired yet (March 27), but follow the link to meet the 16 & Pregnant cast .

Amber Portwood: Out of Jail, Into Grandma’s House

Teen Mom star Amber Portwood just got out of jail free … mostly. On Friday, the MTV reality train wreck was released from jail , but instead of heading to a halfway house after leaving the Madison County (Ind.) correctional facility, she’s already settling in at another house … her maternal grandmother’s. “Amber is all taken care of [and] getting settled in,” says her mom , Tonya. Last week, after the halfway house denied Amber, her mom told us that she was “happy and relieved that she [wouldn’t] have to live in a halfway house.” “Now she will get to spend more time with her daughter, which is what this was all about anyway,” Tonya said. A bonus of the new living arrangement? Filming of Teen Mom is still a go! Though she is still required to attend rehab at Sister 2 Sister Ministries, in Anderson, Ind., production can proceed with her living at grandma’s place. Filming was banned at Sister 2 Sister, where Amber Portwood was set to live upon her release before the residence wanted no part of it. So it’s win-win? Possibly. After completing eight months of rehab, she’s required to get a real full-time job, i.e., one that doesn’t involve reality-show cameras. Not to mention, if she violates her strict probation in any way, she faces a maximum of five years in prison on her felony drug-possession charge. That seems inevitable to skeptics, but for now, Amber’s mom says she and her daughter are “so happy she’s home and around family who love her deeply.” Will Amber end up back in jail?

Lamar Odom Leaves Mavericks to Be with Ailing Father

The NBA season Lamar Odom would likely just wish to forget took a tragic, personal turn this week. Already struggling on the court – the power forward is averaging just 7.7 points and 4.5 rebounds his first year in Dallas – the reality star missed his team’s game against the

Amber Portwood: Released From Jail, Denied By Halfway House, Strapped With Ankle Monitor!

After more than two months behind bars, Amber Portwood is a free woman. Sort of. The Teen Mom star, who had been locked up for drug possession and probation violations galore, was released only after the halfway house where she was supposed to complete a drug treatment program apparently refused to accept her. According to sources, people at the transitional home – Sister 2 Sister Ministries – thinks Amber Portwood is too much of a risk and embodies too much negative energy. She would be unlikely to benefit from its program, in other words. So she was denied, and since no other program will take her the judge decided to release her. With an electronic monitoring bracelet. Classy. Amber’s not out of the woods yet, either. The judge will still require her to apply for residency at another home, although that process could take several months. Until then, she will remain under home confinement. Until a different drug treatment program accepts her, at least she’ll be home. And unable to leave her home. At least Gary Shirley can visit. Actually, maybe that’s not the best idea. Robin Thicke: Arrested For Marijuana Possession

Singer Robin Thicke has been arrested for marijuana possession in N.Y. City. According to law enforcement, the 34-year-old was busted Friday in Manhattan near Madison Square Park. Police claim they saw him lighting up a joint in a black SUV. He was extremely cooperative, at least, and even signed a few autographs. “He wasn’t driving,” a police source said Friday. “He was sitting in the car. He was arrested and a small amount of marijuana was recovered on him.” There was another passenger in the luxury SUV at the time of the incident, but Thicke was the only person to be arrested, apparently. His arrest follows his performance Thursday night at the Nomad’s Way gala to benefit educational initiatives in Kazakhstan, hosted by Sigourney Weaver. Thicke was given a desk appearance ticket and released soon after. A rep for Robin, the son of actor Alan Thicke of Growing Pains fame, had no comment. [Photo: WENN.com]

Amber Portwood: Sent to Halfway House, Barred From Filming Teen Mom!

Amber Portwood’s Teen Mom career may have just come to an end. An Indiana judge just handed down a tough sentence on the reality star, who’s been in more legal hot water than we can even summarize in this space. In court to deal with the fallout of a recent drug arrest and repeated probation violations , Amber reached a plea deal that keeps her out of the slammer. Barely. That’s about all the tough judge was willing to grant her. After completing rehab , Amber Portwood has been ordered to live in a halfway house for up to THREE YEARS and get a court approved 9-to-5 job five days a week. In case there were any confusion, Teen Mom does not qualify. The judge also banned Amber from taping anything at the halfway house, at her job or while appearing in court … so it’s not like she can film in her “free” time. Portwood is also not allowed to tape anything while hanging out with any other girls who also live at the halfway house. There’s clearly a point being made here. The judge reached out to MTV, and the network assured the court that it would not sue Amber Portwood for breaking her contract because of the sentencing. Short story, they’re planning on moving on from her story. Given all that’s unfolded since she gained notoriety from Teen Mom , that’s probably not a bad thing. [Photo: Fame/Flynet]

Amber Portwood Cops Plea, Narrowly Avoids Jail in Probation Case

Maligned Teen Mom all-star Amber Portwood has copped a plea in her probation case and will not be sentenced to five years in prison … at least not yet. In jail since before Christmas awaiting trial for felony drug possession case, Ambs cut a deal Friday to avoid spending the foreseeable future behind bars. Portwood pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance – a medication she had no prescription for – and one probation violation. In return, she remains on probation and, if she hopes to remain free, must complete the Madison County (Ind.) Drug Court program. Or else. Her next hearing is scheduled for February 6. Amber Portwood is on probation following her domestic violence case involving baby daddy Gary Shirley. She missed a probation hearing last month, a big no-no. When police showed up at her house to check on her, they found the pills in her bag … and she was unable to produce a prescription. Even bigger no-no. While she’s been in jail and making officials worried that she will shiv someone , Portwood’s now-former landlord had sued to have her evicted. A judge said she is already in the process of moving out, so the lawsuit is not necessary. A separate hearing on that issue is set for March 14. [Photo: Fame Pictures]
