Katherine Jackson says she will not press charges against her kids after she was allegedly tricked into spending about 10 days shacked up at a luxury spa in Arizona without her phone in what some believe was an attempted coup against Michael Jackson’s estate. Her attorney Perry Sanders said, “This chapter of chaos is closed, and we are supportive of family unity in spite of recent events and arguably poor decisions.” Katherine first went missing from her home in Calabasas, Calif., on July 14. In a sworn declaration filed last week, the 82-year-old Jackson family matriarch claimed she planned to drive to see her sons perform in New Mexico on that day, but a doctor advised her to fly instead. She did as instructed. When she got off her private plane, she found herself in Arizona. There, she was put up at a luxury spa, cut off from technology and kept in the dark about the state of Michael’s children – Prince Michael, 15, Paris, 14, and Blanket, 10 – for days while they had no clue what was going on either. That bizarre incident followed a letter sent by Janet Jackson and four of her siblings to the executors of Michael’s estate, accusing them of making bad decisions and putting Katherine – the kids’ legal guardian – in harm’s way. While she was missing, Katherine’s legal custody of Michael’s children was temporarily suspended in favor of her nephew, TJ Jackson, 34. Katherine was reinstated as guardian last Thursday.
During the taping of Comedy Central’s roast of Roseanne Barr Sunday, Jeffrey Ross turned to Seth Greene and congratulated him on a “really big night.” Why? “You haven’t gotten this much attention since you shot all those people in Aurora,” the comedian joked in reference to alleged killer James Holmes, adding: “I’m kidding! You’re nothing like James Holmes. At least he’s doing something in a movie theater that people remember.” Yeah. How did he respond to the obvious backlash? Ross admitted that “Yes, I crossed a line” but that this is “what the roasts are all about. That’s what Roseanne is about … unapologetic comedy.” “If I had held back, I would have done her a disservice.” As for Ross’ disservice to the Colorado shooting victims, producer Jonas Larsen has already said the jokes will be cut from the August 12 telecast. If Ross is at all sorry, he’s not exactly showing it. “In these particular times – it is important to exercise freedom of speech,” he added. “Comedians are apologizing a lot. I am not saying that is right or wrong.” “But it scares me when I start second guessing myself. I wanted to put it out there and remind people what America is about, and on some level, what roasts are about.” “When I was a kid I said whatever I wanted. It was one of my favorite things about America,” he added. “So now I feel like I am a big kid.” As for his second most controversial move of the night – dressing like disgraced Penn State football coach Joe Paterno – Ross said he doesn’t care . It’s been nearly eight months since Melanie Amaro walked away with the inaugural X Factor title in America, but the talented singer has only first come out with her debut single this week. Former Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader Sarah Jones , a.k.a. the female Sandusky, is firing back at her at critics and the rumors about her personal life despite a request by prosecutors for a gag order in her sexual assault case. Once the captain of the Cincinnati Ben-Gals (get it?!) and a former high school teacher, Sarah Jones is accused of sexually abusing a student and unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activity. “I read on a blog that I was the female Jerry Sandusky . To read those things and not be able to comment, not be able to stick up for myself is not fair,” said the Kenton County, Ky., resident in an interview with ABC News. “There’s blogs and postings out there that I have slept with numerous people. I married my high school sweetheart,” said Jones. “People don’t know the real me. I just asked the general public to maybe hold their judgment a little bit longer until the truth comes out.” Prosecutors asked a judge for a gag order on Monday to stop Jones from talking after she went on her lawyer’s radio show earlier this month. She went on the show to refute the charges against her . Jones’ lawyer, Eric Deters, filed a motion to dismiss all charges due to lack of evidence. “They have no evidence that sexual relations of any type took place in any of the 50 United States of America,” Deters told ABC station WCPO. The judge said she would review the motions. Prosecutors, for their part, say they will be proceeding with their case against Jones as planned. “We won’t be sending out motions, we won’t be going on radio shows. You will be hearing our arguments about evidence in court,” said a spokesman. Last fall, the then-26-year-old Sarah was teaching at Dixie Heights High School and accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student. Jones’ mother, Cheryl Jones – a middle school principal in the same school district – is accused of tampering with evidence in the case. Sarah Jones resigned from her position in November 2011. Both mother and daughter pleaded not guilty in April at their arraignment. Both Sarah and Cheryl Jones were joined by dozens of supporters. Including the family of the alleged victim, no less. The victim’s name has not been released due to his age. “The hardest thing has been having not only me go through it, but to have my mom go through it with me,” said Sarah Jones. “It’s almost kind of a guilty feeling that she is even involved in this because what has happened to her is not fair. My goal is for her charges to be dismissed.” Jones’ lawyer is also demanding the prosecution be sanctioned for saying in court that Jones allegedly sent a text to the victim saying “deny everything.” The prosecution described other texts with the victim as “steamy.” “I think people are taking this whole student-teacher thing… Yes, he was a student but he was not my student,” said Jones. “He was a family friend and I am very close to his parents. Had it not been for their support it would be very difficult to get through this without them.”

But watch, out, there’s a new Orange grabbing the spotlight, and it even grabbed O.C. star Adam Brody who plays the successful son of a couple living in a leafy neighborhood in West Orange, NJ. The Oranges promises to take a bite out of the upper middle-class intrigue market. But Brody appears to be incidental in the block scandal taking place on – you might have guessed, Orange Drive. The quick plot goes something like this: Two dads are morning jog-BFFs who live across the street from each other. One daughter comes come for a holiday after breaking up with her boyfriend. Instead of going for the neighbor’s good looking age-appropriate son (that would be Brody) she takes a liking for the dad – a big uh-oh!
