As a last-minute replacement musical act for SNL ‘s 44th season opener, West turned in a performance many folks are criticizing while also rocking a MAGA hat and delivering a rant supporting President Donald Trump. New York Post reports : West, wearing a red “Make American Great Again” hat and the show’s cast standing behind him, launched into the screed off camera, but it was caught on video by comedian Chris Rock. “I wanna cry right now, black man in America, supposed to keep what you’re feeling inside right now,” he sang as he paced the stage. He continued: “The blacks want always Democrats you know it’s like the plan they did, to take the fathers out the home and put them on welfare. Does anybody know about that? That’s a Democratic plan.” Then he turned to his support of Trump. “There’s so many times I talk to like a white person about this and they say, ‘How could you like Trump? He’s racist.’ Well, if I was concerned about racism I would’ve moved out of America a long time ago.” West performed a bizarre “I Love It” set with Lil Pump, and “We Got Love” with Teyana Taylor before attempting to rock “Ghost Town” when SNL producers cut his set short. An Uber was used to take one couple to a certain destination on 90 Day Fiancé: Before 90 Days this week. But a fight between this same couple in this same car left us unsure just where their future was headed. Allow us to explain… On the latest installment of this oddly popular reality show, Jesse traveled to New York because he thought it was time to end things with Darcey… for good. He also added that she needed to “get therapy for (her) alcoholism,” prompting Darcey to storm out of the car. “You don’t love me. You never did, you liar,” she screamed. “Get out of my life.” Elsewhere on this explosive episode: Rachel and her child headed to Great Britain to be with Jon before their wedding day. What should have been a glorious occasion, however, turned sour after she learned that Jon was corresponding with one of his exes over social media and voiced her very understandable concerns. Evidently, Jon told his former girlfriend that he had loved her in the past, which is what really hurt Rachel the most. Makes sense, right? “It was like I was stabbed with a knife, and when I saw the world ‘love,’ the knife twisted,” she said sadly. Jon tried to clear things up by explaining he was telling his ex about his great relationship and needed to apologize for breaking her heart. But this didn’t smooth things over much. “I am ashamed of the person I was,” Jon said. As for the other couples? A quick rundown: – Angela gave Michael an engagement ring AND an American flag — and he reciprocated! It was a double proposal! “It’s the best day of my life,” Michael said. “Donald Trump, I’m coming to see you.” – Ximena was willing to forgive Ricky for coming to Columbia for another woman, as long as he leaped into a freezing cold lake. “For Ricky to regain my trust if he wants, he will have to show me,” she said. The individual or people responsible for defacing the star left two separate notes scrawled in all-caps in what appeared to be marker: “SERIAL RAPIST” and “#METOO.” TMZ was the first to report the news. While Cosby was sent to prison because of Andrea Constand ‘s claims, hers was among at least 60 others from women making similar allegations against the disgraced comedian. This week’s vandalism was the second instance of Cosby’s Walk of Fame star being defaced in nearly four years. The celebrity memorial was given similar treatment in December of 2014, when someone wrote “rapist” on it. At the time, Cosby was in the throes of dozens of women coming forward with reports that he secretly gave them powerful drugs so that he could take advantage of them sexually without any resistance. The news of his star being vandalized capped off a busy week for Cosby, who was forced to listen to multiple accusers confront him during a two-day sentencing hearing before Judge Steven O’Neill delivered his sentence. Since Cosby began serving time in state prison, he has reportedly been attacked by another inmate and sued by lawyers for outstanding legal fees. While Cosby started off his new prison life in a local corrections facility in eastern Pennsylvania, he was expected to ultimately be transferred to a different prison on the western side of the state closer to Pittsburgh that caters to older inmates with health problems. Cosby is legally blind and reportedly has other health ailments. Cosby’s spokesperson vowed the comedian would appeal and insisted that the prosecution put forth “the most racist and sexist trial in the history of the United States” in a lengthy statement that sounded a lot like he was supporting rape culture . T here are some concerns about the safety of Black students at the University of South Alabama after nooses were discovered Tuesday (September 25) hanging from a tree on campus. See Also: Michigan State University Has A Strange Response To A Racist Student The university released a statement on Wednesday notifying the college community that the campus police identified the student responsible for the incident. “A University of South Alabama student has been interimly suspended and banned from campus, pending a formal hearing, after confessing to an incident discovered last night outside the campus dining hall. USA Police have determined the student acted alone in hanging a bicycle and two nooses in a tree,” the statement said. Free counseling was offered to students, but it’s unclear what steps the university will take to ensure student safety. The local NAACP chapter noted in its statement that Mobile, where the campus is located, was the site of the last documented Ku Klux Klan lynching. “This is a rare and isolated incident, and from a safety standpoint the student responsible has been suspended and barred from campus until a formal disciplinary hearing can be held,” the university’s spokesman Bob Lowry told NewsOne . Prior to the president’s statement, the Mobile County chapter of the NAACP criticized the university for not immediately addressing the situation. “This is a circumstance that many of us feel needs immediate attention considering America’s history and Mobile’s history,” a statement from Jordan Harris , president of the chapter, said. Harris pointed out that members of the KKK were responsible for hanging 19-year-old Michael Donald in 1981 from a tree in Mobile. A cafeteria worker was also fired after posting an offensive tweet from the university’s dining hall account. “The rope outside of the caf last night was just a sign that our food is KILLER! Come get some fried chicken and tell us any different,” the tweet said. The worker was an employee of Aramark, which manages the dining facility, the university stated. Judy Eddy/WENN.com Meek Mill To Be Honored By Inaugural R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players Award Billboard is throwing the first ever installment of a new awards show they have dubbed R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players. The show will air on Thursday, September 27 and has announced that the event’s marquee moment will be Meek Mill receiving the first ever “Power Players Impact Award.” CNN’s Van Jones will be the one to present Meek his award. Billboard reports that they are hoping to recognize the “strength [Meek] has demonstrated in the face of America’s criminal justice system, the light he has shined on the country’s need for justice reform and his constant creative output.” Back in April, the Philly rapper was released from Pennsylvania state prison on bail after he was sentenced last November to two to four years in prison. The rapper is still fighting the probation violation charge that prompted the sentence, which was issued on the basis that he was arrested earlier last year, once for reckless driving and once for fighting at an airport, although both charges ended up being subsequently dropped. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered Mill’s release amid a contentious legal battle, in which the rapper’s lawyers argued that his judge was biased. Beyond that, his original arresting officer, who was the sole witness in the 2008 trial for drug and firearm charges that later resulted in Meek’s probation, was banned from witness stands by the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office due to a history of “lying, racial bias, or brutality.” In the few months since Meek’s release, the Roc Nation rapper has been a very outspoken advocate for criminal justice reform. In addition to public comments, he formed a reform awareness foundation with Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin and partnered with Jay-Z to create a docu-series about about the criminal justice system. The film focuses on the journey of Till’s mother, Mamie Mobley Till , who became a civil rights icon after her son’s murder. Titled “Till,” the screenplay will be adapted from the 2005 documentary “The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till” and written by Michael Reilly and civil rights filmmaker Keith A. Beauchamp . The Till family supports the film and production will begin in summer 2019. Williams told Deadline.com, “I’m honored to be directing the story of Mamie & Emmett, a tale of revolutionary defiance in the face of tremendous personal and public devastation. An exploration of power and pulling back the curtain on cultural violence; of boyhood and maternity challenging America’s reflex to hide from itself; underdogs refusing to pretend that terror is freedom.” Emmett Till was accused of whistling at a white woman in Mississippi in 1955. He was murdered, his body and face mutilated, and it became an international story. The white woman who said Till whistled at her, Carolyn Bryant, would later admit she fabricated the entire story. The white men who murdered Till were never indicted. Mamie Till passed away in 2003. The annual pecking order of showbiz power has been revealed, and there are some familiar names on the list. Coming in at number 94 is Michael B. Jordan , who not only took on his first villain role in Black Panther this year, but is also is taking the lead as a change agent, working with WarnerMedia on the creation of its companywide inclusion policy. A few spots up at number 88 is director and producer Ava DuVernay . She told the publication that the biggest surprise of 2018 is “that people were surprised by the success of Crazy Rich Asians .” She recently signed on to direct her first superhero project, Warner Bros.’ DC movie The New Gods . Ryan Coogler comes in at 84 for his work directing Black Panther, which became the highest-grossing superhero stand-alone film of all time this year. It was just recently announced that he will also be executive producing LeBron James’ Space Jam sequel. At 79 is Tiffany Haddish , who just scored her first Emmy and a deal at HBO. Coming in at number 75 is LeBron James . Though he already had an incredible career prior, this year alone he officially became a Los Angeles Laker, announced his Space Jam sequel, gotten scripted series with both NBC and The CW, along with several HBO series and a Shut Up And Dribble documentary. Kevin Hart makes number 69 on their list, who has sequels for both Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and 2016’s Secret Lives of Pets in the works. Number 55 is Jordan Peele , who produced Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman , set up a Twilight Zone reboot at CBS All Access and teamed with J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot for HBO horror drama Lovecraft Country this year. Donald Glover makes number 42 on THR ‘s list. His music video for “This Is America” has racked up 385 million YouTube views since May along with his FX series Atlanta being Emmy-nominated for another year. Other notable entertainers to make the list include Dwayne Johnson, Shonda Rhimes, and Tyler Perry.
