According to StarTribune , 48-year-old American Airlines passenger Theresa Hines died mid-flight in the plane’s bathroom. As if Ms. Hines’ sudden death wasn’t disturbing enough, a witnessing passenger says that when the EMTs came to remove Hines’ body, they left her bottom half exposed and dragged her down the aisle face up. One passenger is desperately lying to cover for the out-of-pocket EMT: “She was not half-naked,” said passenger Dave Sampsell in an e-mail. “Her pants were unfastened, but I saw nothing that any of the airline or EMT staff did inappropriately.” Maybe this guy is the EMT’s cousin or something, because several other passengers say Hines was absolutely exposed: “That’s baloney,” said passenger Art Endress. He said he was seated not far from the bathroom when an emergency medical technician (EMT) boarded with other responders, stood behind her head and “dragged her down the aisle.” “The EMT was out of line,” said Endress, 63, a research engineer at Southern Methodist University. “The flight attendants could have thrown a blanket on her” as she went past some of the 150 or so seated passengers, Endress added. And of course, “raked through the coals” is a relative term because white men rarely face any real consequences for insulting other groups of people. So really, he was just slapped on the wrist by people on Twitter and met with a sternly worded letter by HBO. Other than that, he’s just fine. Maher tried to rectify the situation by inviting 75 percent of the black people he knows that he didn’t meet through Karrine Steffans onto his show. The results only made things worse. First Maher spoke to bestie Michael Eric Dyson about his upbringing by using the tried and true racist white guy trope: race wasn’t an issue where I grew up. Let’s get this straight. If you grew up in America, whether it’s Tupelo, Mississippi, Los Angeles, California or Newark, New Jersey, race was absolutely an issue where you grew up and it damn sure came up in conversation. If you feel differently, that’s because you’re privileged (see: white) enough to not have had to deal with it. Later in the show, Symone Sanders and Ice Cube came on the show to further check Maher on his use of the word. Of course, as usual, Cube and Sanders are on point. The phrase has been used ad nauseam as of late when white people say or do something blatantly racist, homophobic or antisemitic. “Teachable moment” implies that the culprit of said insensitivity did so unintentionally and they need to be educated about their wrongdoings. And it’s generally the subjugated people who have to do the educating. F*** that noise. Bill Maher is beyond teachable moments. He’s been espousing the idea that white people should be able to use the N-word since at least 2001 when he not only repeated the word a dozen times, he silenced Anne-Marie Johnson , a black woman, who tried to offer him a “teachable moment” and even questioned her blackness. That was Maher’s chance to be taught. And he ignored it, instead he lived with a mentality that he should be able to say the N-word and never relented, finally convincing himself he could say it again on TV in 2017, as well as perpetuating hateful comments about Islam and blackness. That’s why Bill Maher doesn’t get any teachable moments. He had his chance. He ignored it. F*** him. In a general sense, it’s time to bury the idea of teachable moments for good. Take the N-word for example. Anyone in the age of Google, Twitter and working WIFI should know by now why black people can use the word and white people can’t. It takes two seconds to find out the answer. That’s why it’s absurd for someone to feel informed enough to spout ignorance without taking time to get educated. I can do a quick Google and find a serviceable amount of information on a topic to speak on it without reciting hate speech or mimicking violent language. Therefore I don’t need any damn teachable moments. Anyone who does otherwise is being willfully ignorant and activating their privilege to say what they want without caring about who it impacts. Teachable moments and the desire to turn racism into easily-solved Family Matters segments is how people like Bill Maher get a pass for their racism. It’s how Tory Lanez feels like spending $35,000 at a store that treated him with racism is some sort of gotcha lesson. And it’s how Katy Perry thinking that suddenly admitting to her racism gives her a pass to go on with her life. Teachable moments are simply hall passes for white folks to sit in front of black people hat-in-hand and get forgiven for racism without having to face any real consequences for their actions. You know what’s a real teachable moment for Bill Maher? Strip him of his show and make him work his way back onto television. Then he can learn that his words have meaning and that he can’t live a life full of unending second chances. Because there’s no such thing as a teachable moment without real life consequences for the rest of us. Bill Maher and his peers don’t deserve teachable moments. Because he’s been taught. Repeatedly. It’s his own fault for not listening.

Bachelor “Villain” Vienna Girardi isn’t just pregnant, though that would be news enough. She’s expecting twins . Vienna Girardi wasn’t just a contestant on Season 14 of The Bachelor — she won Jake Pavelka’s heart in the final episode. And then the two of them split . But you could argue that her real claim to fame was their interview about their breakup. She accused him of being a habitual liar and of saying truly nasty things to her after about the first month of their post- Bachelor relationship. Jake accused her of, basically, being nuts . And of cheating on him. And of selling their story — or her version of it — to the tabloids while they were still basically together. That last part, at least, is true. Honestly, neither of them came across in a flattering light in that interview. So it’s really for the best that they didn’t stick together. Vienna hasn’t been especially visible over the last few years, aside from a few relationships and a dramatic stint on a relationship rehab show . We all know that there are some reality personalities who refuse to vanish from headlines for even a moment. Vienna’s, for the most part, given the world some space. But she hasn’t disappeared altogether, either. Last October, she got engaged to race car driver Todd Allen. And now she’s pregnant — with twins, no less. A lot of parents would be freaking out at this point, but Vienna seems to be all kinds of enthused. “Twice the blessing, twice the fun,” is written on the picture of her ultrasound. That’s a good attitude to have, because having twins also means more than twice the work, twice the chaos. And let’s not even get into the diaper business. Of course, she’ll only be adding to the legions of babies produced by the many, many contestants who’ve appeared on The Bachelor and Bachelor -related properties over the years. Sometimes the qualities that make for a good reality star are the exact opposites of what make someone a good mother. But you know, even based solely on the fact that she hasn’t been desperately throwing herself into the spotlight, we’re feeling a little optimistic. Plus, sometimes having kids can really change people. Even in ways that no one expects. One day, these kids are going to be old enough to realize who their mom is and to look up her reality TV shenanigans. That’ll be interesting, to say the least. Courtney Stodden’s not exactly shy about her looks or her politics. And now she’s stunning followers with a makeup-free photo … and some very pleasant glimpses at her spectacular body. And her caption has something of a political twist. So, remember that Baywatch movie? Everybody watched the Baywatch trailer , at least, for obvious thirst reasons. Well, thirst alone wasn’t enough to keep the film from flopping at the box office. Courtney’s smoldering hot red swimsuit photo isn’t just visually reminiscent of Baywatch — she mentions the series by name. Her caption, “Make Baywatch Great Again,” is an obvious nod both to the film’s unenthusiastic reception and to the campaign slogan of a certain orange politician. Some people might be surprised to see a political reference in Courtney’s caption, but they shouldn’t be. Remember, she was a supporter of Bernie Sanders and then Hillary Clinton in 2016. And Courtney Stodden got political again just recently. Trump’s campaign slogan is as easy to parody as it is perplexing — since, you know, America was already pretty great. In fact, you tended to kind of get the impression that “great” was just a euphemism for “white.” But we can be sure that Courtney truly means great. And sexy. And fun. And kind. That’s kind of her brand. What’s more is that posing without makeup is almost inherently political. Women are constantly policed for their appearances. Going without makeup can get women asked if they’re “sick” or “tired” by clueless men who are used to seeing their faces look different. And who have no idea how much work so many women put into their looks, every single day. It’s worth noting that society tends to find men plenty attractive without any makeup, yet has high standard’s for a woman’s appearance — that she should have a “natural look” but obviously hide any perceived imperfections. In other words, women are expected to wear just enough makeup to be pleasing to the eye, but to not have fun with it. Ultimately, personal makeup choices should always be personal — to benefit no one but the makeup wearer themselves. But photos like this of Courtney’s send a powerful message that going without makeup can be wildly sexy. Obviously. But our biggest takeaway from all of this was just that we would 100% be down to watch a Courtney Stodden Baywatch movie. There are plenty of sexy actors and actresses who can go play around in the ocean, but it’s pretty tough to find someone as endearing as Courtney. What a doll.

The singer filed court docs stating he has less than $500 in his bank accounts and owns no property or cars. In 2015, the lawyer James J. Gangitano sued Kingston, accusing him of refusing to pay up $12,500 worth of legal work he did in defending him. After filing suit, the lawyer reached a deal with Kingston in early 2016. He agreed to pay $20,000 in installments between April 2016 and January 2017. However, Gangitano headed back to court months later accusing him of breaching the deal by failing to make the payments. Under the agreement, if Kingston missed a payment, the entire amount of $14,500 would be due immediately. They demanded that the judge order Kingston to pay up due to his breach. Earlier this year, the judge came back with his decision and sided with the lawyers, awarding them $14,500 in damages with interest until paid off. Kingston was also ordered to fill out a financial sheet which listed his assets and property in the hopes the firm can use the info to collect on the debt. Kingston attached his last three bank account statements, which reveal his dire financial situation. For his February/March bank statement, his Bank of America account began the month with $18.96 but ended the month with $6.96. His Chase bank accounts started with $370.68 and $207.63 but ended with (negative) $19.65 and $7.22. One of the only deposits added to his account was from a Marleen Turner for $2,000 and his account was charged multiple insufficient funds fees.
