Brown Girls Do Ballet Organization Inspires More Young Girls Of Color To Dance Ballerina Misty Copeland has inspired a generation of Black girls to dance but an new organization wants to help draw more attention and diversity to the world of ballet according to The Grio reports. The organization Brown Girls Do Ballet is drawing attention to ballet’s need for diversity through beautiful Instagram posts. According to their website , the organization is “dedicated to promoting diversity in ballet programs through various media platforms, training resources, and an exclusive network in the world of ballet.” Co-founders TaKiyah Wallace and Brittani Marie created the group in 2013 after Wallace noticed a lack of diversity among her young daughter’s ballet classes. “We realized the missing link to diversifying ballet was a resource that spoke to their identity. We wanted to convey a message of acceptance, vision, and possibility,” the founders told BuzzFeed. The duo wanted to show young dancers of color that there are dancers out there that look like them, so they began their Instagram page. Rise and Shine! Georgia Man Fatally Shoots Mother And Stepdad On Thanksgiving North Atlanta police say a 34-year-old man killed his mom and stepdad on Thanksgiving in their home according to 11 Alive reports: A spokesperson for the Cobb County Police Department said a shooting call came in around 7 p.m. after neighbors reported hearing gunshots. Police arrived to find two people dead in the 5300 block of Camden Lake Drive. The victims are husband and wife pair Michael Bradley DeLoach, 58, and Ellen Deloach, 60. There were also two other family members home during the shooting that were able to escape without injuries. Dustin Ray Dixon, 34, of Marietta is charged with double murder. He also has four counts of aggravated assault and four counts of possession of a firearm or knife. Armed white men are the real threat in America!

Tyra Banks is leaving her talk show FABLife after two months. In related news, Tyra Banks had a talk show called FABLife apparently. Who knew?!? The latest daytime program to try and make like The View debuted just this past September. “This is a very difficult decision, but necessary,” said Banks in a statement, adding by way of explanation: “I will be devoting more time to my new, growing cosmetics company, TYRA Beauty, which is expanding faster than anticipated, as well as overseeing my company’s other entertainment ventures.” For those somehow unaware, FABLife is a program that features Chrissy Teigen , Joe Zee, Lauren Makk and Leah Ashley talking about food, makeovers, fashion, interior design and stuff in general that makes one’s life fabulous. Banks has been serving as co-host and executive producer; there are no plans for a replacement host, though we hear Rosie O’Donnell is available. As previously reported, meanwhile, Banks will also be closing the chapter on America’s Next Top Model. Last month, the annoying model revealed that Cycle 22 will be that long-running competition’s final season.  “I truly believe it’s time,” Banks Tweeted at the time. “May your pics be forever fierce. President Obama Assures Veteran: I Am NOT the Lead Singer From Korn!

On Wednesday, the nation celebrated Veterans Day , and numerous public figures took time to thank the men and women of America's armed forces for their service. Yesterday, as part of the White House's week-long tribute to our nation's troops, President Obama presented Army Captain Florent Groberg with the Medal of Honor – and dropped a bombshell that's certain to shake the world of American politics to its foundation. In his speech, Obama shared the following account of the first time he met Groberg: ” He woke up on a hospital bed in a little bit of a haze. He wasn’t sure, but he thought that he was in Germany, and someone was at his bedside talking to him And he thought that it was the lead singer from the heavy metal band Korn. “Flo thought, 'What’s going on? Am I hallucinating?' But he wasn’t, it was all real…And so, today, Flo, I want to assure you that you are not hallucinating. You are actually in the White House, those cameras are on, I am not the lead singer from Korn .” Obviously, this statement is outrageous for a number of reasons. For one thing, President Obama (if that is your real name), it was your duty to inform the American people that you're not the lead singer of Korn before we twice elected you to the highest office in the land! What if those votes were based on your innovative vocal stylings on “Freak On a Leash”? Also, Korn was really more of a rap-rock outfit than a “heavy metal band.” It's an important distinction, because – as indicated by the correlation between the release of Ben Carson's hip hop track and his rise in popularity – the American people want a president who can spit bars , son. Frankly, we don't know what to believe anymore. All this time, Donald Trump's been calling for Obama's birth certificate , when all we really needed to do was take note of the President's conspicuous lack of gold records and shiny Adidas track suits to know we'd been had.
