Ballers: Jabari Parker Is Headed Back To Chicago After Inking Two-Year, $40 Million Deal

Stacy Revere/Getty Images Jabari Parker Signs A 2-Year Deal With Chicago Bulls Jabari Parker is going back to his hometown. On Saturday morning, the Chicago native secured a two-year, $40 million contract with the Bulls. The agreement was announced shortly after the Milwaukee Bucks rescinded their qualifying offer to the NBA forward, which made him an unrestricted free agent. ESPN  reports that the Bucks didn’t expect to match any offer sheet Parker would’ve signed with Chicago, so rescinding their offer sheet was a “good-faith gesture” that allowed the athlete to negotiate a short-term deal with the Bulls. Free agent forward Jabari Parker has agreed to a two-year, $40M deal with the Chicago Bulls, league sources tell ESPN. Milwaukee rescinded Parker's qualifying offer moments ago, making him unrestricted. — Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 14, 2018 “Jabari and I felt it was in the best interest of both he and the team to rescind our qualifying offer,” Bucks general manager Jon Horst said in a statement . “We appreciate everything Jabari has brought to our team and our community over the last four years and we wish him well.” According to reports from  ESPN , the second of the Parker-Bulls deal is a team option, which is somewhat predictable considering Parker’s injury history. The 23-year-old athlete has suffered multiple ACL tears within the last four years. His most recent injury occurred in February 2017, which caused him to miss all but 31 games of last season. Shortly after he hit unrestricted free agency–before the announcement of his move to the Bulls–Parker thanked the Bucks for showing him so much support throughout his four-year professional career. “I am extremely grateful to the Bucks and the incredible fans of Milwaukee for showing me so much love and encouragement,” Parker said. “Specifically, I’d like to thank Jon, Marc, Wes, and Jamie for giving me my start in the NBA and supporting me throughout my career. Thank you to my teammates for being like brothers to me. Also, the medical and performance staff led by Troy Flanagan and Suki Hobson deserve my unending thanks for their dedication in helping me get stronger and healthier every day.”

Celebrities Slam Tender Age Shelters For Migrant Kids Separated From Their Families

Source: John Moore / Getty Once again, policies under the Trump administration are sending chills up people’s spines. According to The Associated Press , officials from his administration have been detaining babies and other young children forcibly separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border. The kids are being sent to at least three “tender age” shelters in South Texas. A fourth one is also planned for Houston, and it would hold up to 240 children in a warehouse previously meant for people displaced by Hurricane Harvey. Lawyers and medical providers have visited some of the shelters and described them as “play rooms of crying preschool-age children in crisis.” “Children are biologically programmed to grow best in the care of a parent figure,” said Alicia Lieberman, who runs the Early Trauma Treatment Network at University of California, San Francisco. “When that bond is broken through long and unexpected separations with no set timeline for reunion, children respond at the deepest physiological and emotional levels.” The separations come after the White House announced its zero tolerance policy in early May. U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said that the U.S. government would criminally prosecute everyone who crosses the U.S.-Mexico border illegally. Children would then be separated from their family and be sent into “government care.”  Since the announcement of the policy, more than 2,300 children have been separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border. The United Nations, some Democratic and Republican lawmakers, and religious groups have slammed the separation policy, calling it inhumane. Images of some children in cages inside U.S. Border Patrol processing stations have rocked people to their core. Even news anchor Rachel Maddow , who usually keeps it together on air, broke down when trying to reveal the news of tender age shelters. Derick Dillard Under Fire For Atheist Sympathies: Has He Abandoned His Beliefs?

It’s been quite an interesting few months in the life of Derick Dillard. It all started, of course, when Derick got fired by TLC after harassing transgender teen and fellow network star Jazz Jennings in a bizarre Twitter tirade. Derick issued an explanation for his remarks that he probably thinks qualifies as an apology, but fans weren’t buying it, and most seemed happy to see him go. Earlier this week, Derick doubled down on his homophobia  by promoting a speaking engagement by a pastor who became famous for his support of the abhorrent practice of conversion therapy. It briefly seemed that Derick had taken an “in for a penny, in for a pound” approach to his own bigotry and decided that since he’d already been fired from TLC, the time was right to rebrand himself as a far-right firebrand. Today, however, something interesting occurred on Derick’s Twitter page. “I want to personally invite any LGBTQ person & anyone else who would like to come with my family and me to church next Sunday. See you there!” Derick tweeted. These days, it seems that Derick is supporting his family almost entirely through monetary donations from fans , so many were suspicious that the tweet was simply a publicity stunt or part of an effort to rebuild his image. But some expressed an interest in taking him up on the invitation. One woman identified herself as an atheist and asked if it was okay for her to attend services with Derick and his family. The former reality star astonished many Duggar fans when he responded, “Absolutely!” Some expressed outright shock that Derick would invite someone whose beliefs are so different from his own into his house of worship. The mini-controversy comes on the heels of reports that Derick’s wife, Jill Duggar, had turned her back on her beliefs  due to an Instagram post in which she revealed that she’s reading a book with sections addressed to those who are questioning their faith in God. In the end, however, it turned out there was really nothing to either scandal. Jill was simply offering support to those whose belief had wavered, while Derick is apparently hoping to convert some non-believers, which is actually one of the expressed duties of Independent Baptists. Jennifer Aniston: Devastated, Humiliated By Justin Theroux Split

As you’ve likely heard by now,  Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have called it quits after two and a half years of marriage. As is always the case when an A-list couple splits, there have been countless theories as to why Jen and Justin decided to go their separate ways. Some say Aniston wants to get back together with Brad Pitt . Others claim Justin never wanted to marry Jen in the first place. It may be quite some time before we know exactly what happened, but for now, accounts concur that Justin is the one who initiated the split, and geography played a major role in his decision. Yes, geography. It seems Justin just wasn’t willing to part ways with his beloved New York City, and Jen is too much of a West Coast girl to relocate. So how does Aniston feel about basically being dumped for a city? Not surprisingly, she’s less than thrilled about it. “They’ve been separated for two months now,” an insider tells E! News, “but were having intense issues for about eight months.”  “She really tried to make it work with him but the distance was a factor as he only wanted to live in N.Y.C. and there was no compromise with her.” The source adds: “Their lifestyles were completely incompatible, and ultimately Justin decided to leave.” It seems that though she and Justin were broken up for several weeks before they announced their split, Jen has been having an especially hard time since news of the breakup went public: “Jen was doing OK for a few weeks after Justin left, and then things got stirred up again when the announcement was made to the media,” the insider claims. “Adjusting to living by herself and not having Justin around,” the source adds. “She is used to the empty house since it’s been months now without him, but it’s still an uneasy feeling for her. She knows in due time she will feel tremendously better, but is really going through the motions right now.” Of course, this isn’t Jen’s first high-profile breakup, and those who know her best are confident she’ll pull through: “Jen knows she is strong and knows things will smooth over in time,” the insider continues. “She’s been through this before, so she is trying to lay low for now and knows it’s best if she doesn’t go out in public for awhile.” And just as she did when her first marriage ended, Jen has been drawing strength from the support of her Friends friends: “Courteney [Cox]’s been at her house many times, and has been by her side through it all,” says the source. “Many of her friends have known about this for months and knew it was coming. A lot of people didn’t think that Jen and Justin were a good match from the start, but ultimately supported her decision.” Guess they really will be there for her when the rain starts to fall. As for those rumors about Jen rekindling her romance with her first husband, the source says that while Aniston has reached out to Pitt in the months since her split, the actors have no intention of being anything other than friends. “Jen never talks about Brad,” the insider claims. “Rekindling is not even a conversation. Don’t Sleep: Desus And Mero Are Selling Out Venues In Every Borough For Their NYC Tour

After announcing a few tour dates around the US, the Bodega Boys recently followed up with a Desus And Mero Do NYC hometown tour, with 5 dates in each of the 5 boroughs. The boys have been announcing the individual borough’s shows every morning at 10am, and unsurprisingly, tickets are selling like hot cakes. Desus and Mero have already sold out their show in Queens along with a legendary night at the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem; Thursday morning came with the announcement of their Staten Island date, which is sure to be sold out within an hour or two, as well. If anyone pays tribute to their New York roots, it’s most definitely these two–especially now while they’re making sure to touch base with fans from The Bronx to Staten Island. The announcement of their Desus and Mero Do NYC Tour also came with the knowledge that there would be a different special guest at each one of the shows, so that’s sure to be something to look forward to. Keep an eye on their website here every morning at 10AM for tickets to The Bronx and Brooklyn shows in the next few days. The brand is strong!

Kim Kardashian Surrogate Speaks Out: I’m Happy, Healthy and RICH!

As you’ve likely heard by now, Kim Kardashian welcomed her third child this week. The baby was born via surrogate at Cedars Sinai Hospital in LA early Monday morning. Kim made the announcement via her subscription-based app, but at this point, details are still relatively scarce. We know the baby is a girl, and the delivery went smoothly–but that’s about it. It might be weeks before Kim and Kanye go public with additional information, but one person who was directly involved in bringing their child into the world is speaking out … kind of. Not much is known about the surrogate hired by Kim and Kanye , and it seems that according to her contract, she’s not allowed to speak to the press. But that doesn’t mean her parents can’t speak to the press. Yes, the anonymous surrogate has contacted her mother and father, and in turn, they gave an interview to Radar Online. It might be the closest we’ll ever come to hearing from the surrogate directly. Fortunately, the parents have remained anonymous, which means the surrogate is not in violation of her agreement with Kim and Kanye. “She is doing well,” her mother tells Radar. “[Tuesday] she told me she felt fine.” Asked if there were any complications with the delivery, the surrogate’s father replied, “No, everything went well. As a matter of fact, she’s at home resting.” “She’s safe at home with her husband,” the mother added. Unfortunately, there are two matters on which the proud parents played it coy. For starters, they refused to reveal if their daughter was a fan of Kim’s before carrying the reality star’s baby. “She may have been!” her mother remarked vaguely, adding: “According to what my daughter told me, yes, they got along.” And per their daughter’s contract, the parents offered no information on how much Kim and Kanye paid for the use of her uterus. We suppose that’s okay. It’s not like we need an exact figure to tell us that the anonymous woman who had the honor of delivering the newest member of the Kardashian-West clan is now very, very wealthy. Joy-Anna Duggar Comes Clean About Due Date, Shotgun Wedding Rumors

For months now, the biggest story surrounding the Duggar clan has had to do with Joy-Anna Duggar’s pregnancy  and its timeline. Rumors that the family is misleading fans with regard to her due date have been running rampant ever since the announcement. Reports of Joy-Anna’s “shotgun wedding” have been circulating non-stop, and to be fair, there’s a good deal of evidence to support the theory. The idea that Joy secretly became pregnant prior to marrying Austin Forsyth would obviously not go over well with her family. At all. And the proof just keeps piling up. Joy-Anna and Austin have admitted to breaking the “courtship rules” that her family holds dear, and that was before any of this. Then, the soon-to-be newlyweds rather suspiciously moved their wedding date up by several months without any explanation. Just last week, Joy further raised eyebrows when she commented on the news that Jinger Duggar is expecting her first child . The 20-year-old remarked that Jinger would be giving birth just six months after her, which, as many fans pointed out, is some fuzzy math. That doesn’t quite match up with the timeline offered by the Duggars themselves, and it doesn’t take an expert to see why. The family claims Joy got pregnant at the start of her honeymoon, which began shortly after her wedding on May 26. If that were true, the Counting On star’s due date would be sometime at the end of February or the beginning of March. Earlier this week, Joy and Austin made an online baby shower registry, in which they revealed that her due date is February 22, 2018. The revelation has Duggar fans split. Some claim it’s evidence that Joy got pregnant before her due date, and others claim it reveals the exact opposite. How does that work, you ask? While it’s true that Joy-Anna’s “official” due date is less than nine months after her wedding, it certainly isn’t by much. The news thus puts to rest the rumor that Joy got pregnant in March, thus prompting the rescheduling of her nuptials. Skeptics point out, however, that even if Joy got pregnant on her wedding night, her due date would likely be later than February 22. Obviously, the matter is far from resolved. If she gives birth around the time she says she’s due, it probably won’t be completely settled even after she welcomes her baby. If Joy delivers before her due date, the nay-sayers will insist its solid evidence that she was lying about her conception date all along. Duggar loyalists will point out that every pregnancy is different, and that babies arrive well ahead of schedule every day. At least based on what she’s saying, assuming that’s true, it’s hard to conclusively know. In fact, we may never know for sure. Either way, though, it’s one more controversy – and a pretty big one, at that – for a family that’s known little else in recent years.

Jacob Roloff: Expecting His First Child!?

Many Little People, Big World fans out there think Jacob Roloff  is expecting a baby with girlfriend. We’re just not entirely sure why. You’d think such a rumor would get started because some photo surfaced online of Isabel Rock with an apparent baby bump or something. But nope. That’s not it. This rumor is circulating because of what Amy Roloff wrote to her followers over this past holiday weekend. Along with a cute photo of herself, boyfriend Chris Marek and some other acquaintances on New Year’s Eve, the Little People, Big World matriarch wrote the following: “New start to more beginnings, more opportunities, more adventures, love, family, good friends and so much more. “I hope whatever the past year was for you, the new year is full of hope and off to a new start. Let’s do our best to make it a good one. Thank you for allowing me to share with you.” That was it. Did you catch it? Did you catch the reason why TLC viewers now think Jacob and Isabel are about to become parents? It’s because Amy used the word  beginnings . Seriously. That’s the only reason why these viewers are under the impression that the Roloffs may soon add yet another baby to their brood. (In 2017 alone, Zach and Tori Roloff welcomed a son; while Audrey and Jeremy Roloff welcomed a daughter.) As you can see above, some social media users interpreted Amy’s message to mean Jacob was expecting. And others interpreted it to mean Jacob already had a baby! Jacob, it should be noted, is not even married to Isabel. Granted, this doesn’t mean she can’t get pregnant with his baby, just look at, like, any female member of the Kardashian family. But we’re going to wait until there’s a little more evidence than what’s offered here before we jump to any conclusions or offer any congratulations. The better question may be whether Jacob and Isabel are engaged . Back in September, Isabel raised a few eyebrows when she wrote the following: Have you ever been faced with a life changing decision? If you choose one way, your life will change drastically.. but if you choose another, your life will also change drastically? Certainly sounds like someone considering a proposal, doesn’t it? Alas, nothing really came of Isabel’s post. We don’t know to what she was referring and we see no diamond ring on her finger. Looking forward, we’ll continue to monitor both Isabel’s belly and her finger. We’ll let you know if either body part hints any impending child or wedding. Until then, we urge readers to take a chill pill or two. Chip & Joanna Are Actually Getting Dragged for Their Pregnancy

Well… this is a new one. As previously reported, Chip and Joanna Gaines are expecting their fifth child . The Fixer Upper made this announcement via a very cute photo (below) and most fans are extremely excited for them. Most fans. But not all fans. Some folks out there are giving the Fixer Upper stars a hard time for procreating once again, and you won't believe the reason(s) why. Scroll down to find out… 1. We’re Pregnant! This is how the couple confirmed the exciting news, with Chip writing as a caption: “Gaines party of 7.. (If you’re still confused.. WE ARE PREGNANT) @joannagaines” 2. When Did This Happen? Chip has actually gone ahead and revealing the night that some music led to some love making, which led to a baby. He’s the best, isn’t he? 3. The Ultrasound Joanna chimed in on the pregnancy with proof… and with another funny comment by Chip. 4. So… What’s the Problem? We should all just be happy for Chip and Joanna, shouldn’t we? They really do seem like such a fun and living couple. 5. Okay, Slow Down We’re all happy for Chip and Joanna. But we were happier when people we actually knew had this news. Kylie Jenner: Put on BLAST for Ridiculously Expensive Brush Set

Here’s some free advice for Kylie Jenner: You may want to hurry up and announce your pregnancy to the world. It will serve as a distraction to another announcement you recently made, one that is not being met with positive reviews from your fans. Late this week, Jenner’s shockingly successful makeup business alerted the public to a brand new 16-piece brush set that is now on sale. This Kylie Cosmetic kit – which features a number of sleek-looking brushes – is the third product in the Silver Series set from the popular brand… and is being offered for $360. Yes, $360. For a bunch of brushes. In response to this hilarious/ridiculous figure, fashion blog publisher and fans jumped on social to express their disappointment over the price, prompting Kylie to respond with a tweet of her own on Saturday. It reads: “I have developed for you guys the most amazing luxury brushes ever. I am very excited! Real brushes don’t compare to synthetic brushes. “Different performance/quality/everything. I am 100% down to do an entire synthetic line in the future which will ultimately be cheaper.” She added: “I always fight for the lowest price on all my products. Here are some other real brush lines for reference…” And she’s right: there’s one set in the above-referenced collection that retails for $650. Jenner went on to acknowledge the criticism, telling followers:  “I hear you guys, love you guys and truly just want the best.” Whatever Kylie is doing at her company, it’s clearly working. A somewhat recent report valued Kylie Cosmetics at $1 billion , which is just… it’s totally and completely and utterly insane. What started as a simple lip gloss kit has blossomed, in just a couple of years, into a global empire. Still, that doesn’t mean everyone was satisfied with Kylie’s explanation or the price of these brushes. “Thanks but I’ll buy food with that money instead,” wrote one Internet user, while another added: “Sorry girl but that’s just waaaay to expensive! There are so many other brands that make quality brushes for affordable prices.” Others said they were worried about with whether or not the brushes were cruelty-free and asked what type of hair was used in the brushes. This is serious business, apparently, this makeup stuff. Women do NOT mess around when it comes to their products. And despite its financial success, Kylie Cosmetics has not received high grades from the Better Business Bureau. “All I’m saying is if you wanna charge luxury prices, provide luxury quality,” wrote one critic.
