Loraine Allison, who came forward decades after the Titanic sank and claimed to be a young girl reported dead in the disaster, has been proven to be a fraud. Helen Kramer, who passed away in 1992, mounted a campaign for the surviving members of the affluent, Canadian family to accept her as Loraine Allison. That baby girl was killed aboard the doomed RMS Titanic in 1912. However, recent DNA tests by the Loraine Allison Identification Project show no genetic link between the Kramer and Allison family’s descendants. At all. DNA Test Proves Titanic Survivor Was Fraud “We have received the results of mtDNA testing,” the Loraine Allison Identification Project wrote, referring to a type of DNA passed down through the female line. “The results confirm that Mrs. Kramer was NOT Loraine Allison .” If true, this means Loraine Allison was in fact the only child to die from the first or second class on the iconic vessel. Sixty other children died aboard the Titanic. The Telegraph reported on the new DNA tests yesterday and spoke about the bombshell results with David Allison, grandson of Loraine’s uncle Percy Allison: “The Allisons never accepted Mrs. Kramer’s claim, but the stress it caused was real. It forced my ancestors to relive painful memories … immeasurable sorrow and unending grief.” His sister Nancy Bergman, added that the findings “uncovered a colossal fraud that has haunted my family for years. It was all about the money.” “Debrina wants to write a book and no doubt there are others out there who want to profit from our story. It is our story. Leave us in peace.” The whole identification fiasco stems from the fact that little Loraine’s body was never recovered, despite early news reports saying that she perished. In 1940, Kramer went public with the claim that she was saved. She said that at the last monute, Hudson Allison, Loraine’s father, placed her in a lifeboat with a man she grew up believing was her biological father. Her adoptive father, she said, told her about her true identify and history. He also said he was Thomas Andrews, the naval architect who designed the Titanic. These claims could not be verified, of course, because the man died shortly after telling her, according to the Loraine Allison Identification Project. None of Kramer’s immediate family believed her, but others did. In 2012, Debrina Woods, a woman saying she is Kramer’s granddaughter, said that she found a suitcase filled with letters between Kramer and her lawyer. This “proved” she was Loraine, to the chagrin of the Allisons. “What Ms. Woods doesn’t have yet is forensically certifiable proof of anything,” the Loraine Allison Identification Project said on its website this week. “Despite numerous inquiries from Titanic researchers and interested people from all over the world, Ms. Woods has never released her alleged DNA results.”

It’s almost as though E!’s latest reality show #RichKids of Beverly Hills was designed to generate negative attention, and this week, Bethenny Frankel obliged. The show, which features five kids born into insane wealth parading around the titular L.A. suburb, made its debut on Sunday and Monday to major buzz. That buzz was not what you’d call positive, by and large, for obvious reasons, and when the five cast members stopped by Bethenny , they heard about it. Rich Kids of Beverly Hills on Bethenny While the Rich Kids of Beverly Hills did get some support (“We can’t hate you because you were born rich”), it’s clear this show rubs most folks the wrong way. On Bethenny , it was revealed that star Jonny Drubel thought the average household income was $100K and that the average toilet paper roll was $10. When he tried to defend himself saying he’d have no way of knowing that fact, Frankel replied “but you wipe your ass!” and the floodgates opened. Sherri Shepherd has something in common with Juan Pablo Galavis and Phil Robertson : All three have gotten into trouble for various anti-gay remarks. In Shepherd’s case, controversy broke out this week following an interview with Fusion host Alicia Menendez. Asked about the biggest misconception people have about her, Shepherd said some feel she’s overly “judgmental” and “homophobic” going on to explain why… and coming across to many as, well, homophobic. “You grow up being a Christian and you grow up believing homosexuality is a sin; you’re going to hell if you’re a homosexual,” the comedian said of her views. “This is something that they teach in churches. So it’s something that I grew up believing. Shepherd went on to say she “might not agree” with the gay lifestyle, but she isn’t going to argue with it, either. But she’s “trying to make it to heaven by the skin of my teeth” and she asks folks to respect how she feels about homosexuality in her attempt to make it there. As you might expect, some took exception to the idea that Shepherd could claim gay people are sinners while still making it sound like she’s not against them, a confusing line to walk that she tried to explain yesterday on The View. “I’m truly sorry to anyone I’ve offended,” Shepherd began. “My interview was misrepresented, and only a portion of my comments were used as a headline to give the impression that I was condemning members of the LGBT community living in their own truth. She went on: “In the interview, I express I was raised as a child to have a certain set of beliefs, but my beliefs have evolved significantly as my own personal relationship with Christ has increased. “I believe that love is the grace of all things and I have no desire to judge anybody by who they are. I’m a person of compassion and anyone who knows me knows that I love, I accept, I embrace everybody who has love in their hearts. So I love you.” Sounds heartfelt to us. Are you buying it? Will this opinion affect the show’s ratings? Those of Duck Dynasty dropped in the wake of Robertson’s contentious views, while The Bachelor has remained steady after Juan Pablo said it would set a bad example of ABC ever aired a gay season of the hit show.

Lindsey Vonn is an Olympic gold medalist and a gorgeous celebrity who is dating Tiger Woods, but even she goes through some insecurities regarding body image. Last year’s Met Costume Gala in New York City was tough for her to attend for that reason, the 29-year-old confesses. Vonn told SELF in its latest issue: “It was hard to go … with people who eat lettuce and a Diet Coke for dinner. It’s difficult to be at events with a room full of women who weigh half as much as you do,”. She doesn’t want to be like those girls, though. That she makes clear. “I don’t envy them, though, because so many of them are skinny-fat. They have more cellulite than most people. I feel like I need to give them a cheeseburger.” “It’s sexy and beautiful to be strong.” Her boyfriend helps her stay strong, she said, and not just physically. With Vonn unable to compete in the 2014 Olympics, she’s leaned on Tiger more than ever. “He’s helped me stay patient through rehab,” she said. “Golf is all about patience. He helped me take it one day at a time. I’d say, ‘Why can’t I do this? I want to!’ And he’d say, ‘You’ll get your chance. It will come.’” “We’re good for each other. I don’t know what he’s learned from me, to be honest.
