Q-Tip Talks About Kanye’s Confederate Flag Merchandise Via The Grio reports: Q-Tip, the legendary member of A Tribe Called Quest, has weighed in on the controversy swirling around Kanye West’s decision to feature the Confederate flag on merchandise being sold on his Yeezus tour. The “News Slaves” rapper has pushed back against his critics, claiming “it’s my flag” and arguing that his use of the imagery, which is normally associated with bigotry and pro-slavery views, is an attempt to subvert its meaning. “I just think people look cool in it.
