Okay, it’s April 2. Joke’s over. Our bogus report that Spencer Pratt was critically injured in Wales took on surprising legs yesterday, despite what we felt was an obvious April Fool’s prank. We made it up. Out of thin air. He really is in Wales and really hasn’t been on Twitter since March 29th (has to be a record), but THG invented this rumor. Pratt is alive and well, despite THG’s attempt to put him in a coma . Yes, we realize this was in bad taste, but come on, it was April 1. It’s also Spencer Pratt . If anyone can appreciate this, it’s him. The former Hills svengali even commented personally on the rumor when Rumor Fix tracked him down, and seemed to be amused, telling the website: “Ha Ha Ha. I finally have reached the level of fame I aspired to — when I don’t have to make up my own stories! LOL.” The reality star went on to add: “All good here. No hiking for me – just eating.” Come home soon, man. We kinda miss you.

Last April Fool’s, Google surprised its search engine users when they posted an April Fool’s prank using a Topeka Google Logo. It served as thank you to the real Topeka, a name of a town in Kansas when Google wanted their bid for the broadband network service to win, the Topeka mayor temporarily changed the name of the town to Google Kansas just recently. I don’t know about you, but I always feel a little let-down on April 2nd. I like the April Fool’s Day tradition of absurdity ruling, and not being able to believe anything you read. My favorite prank of the day: Funny or Die’s fake Justin Bieber-centric site Bieber or Die. Ha! Did you pull any good pranks yesterday? Did you have any pulled on you?
