The vet said the ferrets “had been given steroids at birth to increase their size and then had some extra grooming to make their coats resemble a fluffy toy poodle.” He paid $150 per poodle too. Ripoff. Another woman interviewed by a Buenos Aires TV station claims she got a roid-raging ferret instead of what she thought was a chihuahua at the same place. An enormous mushroom cloud over Beijing, China late last week, sparked fears that some kind of cataclysmic, Armageddon-like event was underway. Turns out it was just nature at work. The giant cumulonimbus cloud formation spanned several miles. Accompanied by late day lightning, it swallowed up the capital’s skyline for an hour. Photographers and videographers documented the ominous-looking formation, which gradually took the shape of an atomic bomb. British police are investigating David Nalbandian for injuring a linesman while kicking an advertising board during Sunday’s tennis final at Queen’s Club. Officials ruled that the Argentine had to default the match to Marin Cilic after smashing the sign – and the lineman’s legs behind it – with his right foot. Judge Andrew McDougal could be seen cringing in pain as the player sent part of the sign flying into his leg. Nalbandian was leading 7-6, 3-4 at the time but was forced to default the match. What’s more, criminal charges may be in the offing. “We are aware of an incident at the Aegon Championships on June 17,” a Scotland Yard spokesman said. “A complaint has been made and the Metropolitan police service is investigating the incident. This is awesome!” he said, his fist punching the sky in excitement. It was a sweet moment, considering that Driver, an NFL star, revealed that he’s been a longtime fan of the show and had watched it since its inaugural season. Driver ran around the ballroom dance floor and screamed his excitement, while rolling around on the floor after he found out he outscored classical singer Katherine Jenkins (Monday night’s top scorer) and her partner Mark Ballas. On Monday night, Driver and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd, danced the Argentine tango for their first dance, and head judge Len Goodman said he loved Driver’s intensity. The other judges thought his storytelling through dance was moving. The three judges gave him one point shy of a perfect score for that round. For the freestyle round, the Green Bay Packers wide receiver two-stepped to country music, which could have been a risk on the ballroom floor. The judges loved it, and Carrie Ann Inaba actually jumped up on the table and proclaimed, “This is my favorite dance of the season!” For that, Driver earned a perfect score. As for Tuesday night’s finale, he danced one last shirtless dance, for which the judges gave him another perfect trio of 10s. Len Goodman named him the best dancing footballer they’ve ever had on the show. “He’s the best celebrity dance partner anyone could ask for,” Murgatroyd said before her partner was crowned the winner. “I was lucky.”

When MTV News caught up with Stewart recently, we asked her to compare the familiar scenario of doing interviews with her longtime “Twilight” co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner versus her new castmate, the lovely Ms. Theron. “When Rob, Taylor and I do interviews together, they usually don’t actually ask us anything. We just get to hang out and people like to watch that,” Stewart said with a laugh. “It’s fine, because I like hanging out with those guys, but it is weird. With Charlize, it’s been great, because we’re so proud of the movie and we actually only worked together for three days, so we got to know each other probably more or at least on a certain level during press, and it’s been nice. It’s been fun.” Stewart said she especially admires Theron’s ability to light up a room with her energy and humor. “Some people intimidate you. Some people’s energy is so big you feel like you don’t fit in the room, but with her, I really appreciate how different we are. I love the effect she has on people,” Stewart said. “I find it hilarious. I love watching it happen. I do not have that. Maybe I have something else, but it’s definitely not as visceral. Also, she’s really hilarious,” she added, noting that the Oscar winner uses the more colorful swear words with particular aplomb. “[She] puts me to shame, to be honest,” Stewart said.
