Caption This Pic Full Of Pooch Preciousness

This woman rescued this dog and saved his life. Of course, he can’t talk…but this picture says it ALL! Dog Embraces Rescue Worker Who Saved Him Even dogs have their way of saying ‘thank you’….. via THG You often hear anecdotes of animals being able to experience and express humanlike emotions, and we sometimes see signs of this in our own pets.  This would be one of those times. Eva Armstrong, a director of Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue, heads a volunteer-run rescue group that has saved more than 800 dogs to date. On a recent trip to a high-kill “shelter” in Alabama, volunteers rescued a dachshund they named Captain Morgan because he had only one eye. The night he was rescued, Captain Morgan slept at the foot of Eva’s hotel bed. She took care of him until he was adopted by a family months later. Then, last week, Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue held a “reunion” where Captain Morgan and Armstrong were reunited … and the photo says it all. A picture of the two of them in a warm embrace quickly went viral. Captain Morgan, now called Cappy by his adopted family, rests his head on Armstrong’s shoulder, seeming to smile as if this is the best moment ever. Too cute! How would you caption this ? In White Folks News: Lance “Dope Boy” Armstrong Faces Justice Department Lawsuit For Cheating To Win Tour de France

Lance had money, a career, a legacy and threw it all away. Oh well time to pay up! Lance Armstrong Faces Lawsuit According to NBC News Lance Armstrong violated his contract with the U.S. Postal Service and “unjustly enriched” himself by cheating to win Tour de France titles, the Justice Department argued in a lawsuit against the cyclist filed on Tuesday. The government announced in February it would join a federal whistle-blower lawsuit against Armstrong brought by the troubled athlete’s former teammate Floyd Landis. Tuesday marked the deadline to file a formal complaint. “Riders on the USPS-sponsored team, including Armstrong, knowingly caused material violations of the sponsorship agreements by regularly and systematically employing banned substances and methods to enhance their performance,” the complaint says. “Defendants were unjustly enriched to the extent of the payments and other benefits they received from the USPS, either directly or indirectly,” the suit alleges. An Armstrong attorney called the lawsuit “opportunistic and insincere” and said the Postal Service made money off the cyclist, according to the Associated Press. From 1998 to 2004 the Postal Service paid about $40 million to sponsor the team for which Armstrong won six of his seven Tour victories. In that same period the USPS paid Armstrong $17 million, according to the filing. Also named as defendants were former team Armstrong team director Johan Bruyneel and team management company Tailwind Sports. The government must make the case that the Postal Service was not only defrauded, but also somehow damaged. When it rains it pours. Do you think Lance will be able to bounce back? Wenn

‘Dodgeball’ Sequel − Good For Humanity & Lance Armstrong, Too?

Let the rehabilitation of Lance Armstrong begin?   The Hollywood Reporter reports that Ben Stiller and his producing partner Stuart Cornfeld have commissioned screenwriter Clay Tarver to write a sequel to Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story , and I think it could be a key public-relations opportunity for the disgraced Tour de France cyclist. If  your memory needs recycling (ba-dump-bump!), Armstrong appears in a key cameo in the movie, where Vince Vaughn’s character, Average Joe’s Gym owner Peter La Fleur is about to quit his underdog team and Armstrong shames him into reconsidering . In the aftermath of Armstrong’s doping scandal, that scene looks ironic and tragic today. But…America loves comeback stories, and if the former champion would be willing to take it on the chin comedically, I bet he could make a little progress in rehabilitating his tarnished image post-Oprah. The sequel is supposed to be about Vaughn’s character and Stiller’s character, White Goodman from Globo Gym , teaming up to battle “an even bigger threat,” as the publication reported.  And Armstrong’s cameo could be as simple as having him seek redemption on La Fleur’s team or play for one of the competitors that Average Joe’s faces.  Either way, he should get beaned real good in a creative elimination scene. Even better: an encounter between La Fleur and Armstrong that would reference the first cameo. Once again, Armstrong would have to agree to take it on the chin. That could be deep and cathartic in a comedic way. It would definitely be more effective than drumming for the reggae band Lance Herbstrong, which Armstrong did on April 20 at the Austin Reggae Festival: Give The Drummer Some…Redemption While we’re on the subject of returning Dodgeball characters, Jason Bateman ‘s loopy ESPN 8 — The Ocho! — color commentator Pepper Brooks is a must . Taylor Armstrong: My Husband’s Suicide Drove Me to Drink

It’s been far too long since Taylor Armstrong used her estranged husband’s suicide for profit or attention, hasn’t it? The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is back at it, though, blogging this week about her state of mind – and the state of her liver – after Russell Armstrong took his own life in August 2011. “I went through about nine months where I was drinking to cope with the pain and the memories,” Armstrong wrote yesterday. “I was drinking to forget, to stop the recurring images in my head, to relax enough to try to sleep at night.” On Sunday’s episode of this Bravo hit, Kim and Kyle Richards approached Taylor about her drinking problem, causing Armstrong to reflect and now open up. “I was self-medicating and the sad truth is that I didn’t know another way to get through the days — and nights,” she wrote in her entry. “I was confronted with the truth that the life I thought I had was only an illusion. What I finally realized was that ‘pain waits for you.’ I would medicate for a day and the next morning all the emotions would come flooding back — not to mention the massive headache.” But that’s pretty much now all behind her, the reality star concludes: “Thankfully, I had an amazing support system and they helped me realize that it was time for me to feel my emotions and let the healing begin.” She may be healing off camera going forward, however. Rumors continue to float around that major changes are coming to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast .

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Major Cast Changes to Come?

Real changes are reportedly on the way to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . While it’s been made known that Adrienne Maloof and Taylor Armstrong are unlikely to return to the Bravo series, Radar Online sources say all leading ladies are on the “chopping block,” as producers contemplate a new direction. “Kim’s addiction storyline has been exhausted and she doesn’t bring anything to the show anymore,” says the insider, adding: “Yolanda was brought in as a super-rich trophy wife, but she’s just been so boring to watch and doesn’t add anything to the dynamic of the group… producers are looking for over-the-top cast members and would love to have Lionel Richie‘s wife, Brenda, and Sylvester Stallone‘s wife, Jennifer on the show.” Dayna Devon has also been rumored as an addition. Why the displeasure among executives and fans? “Producers feel that the fighting has just become too personal,” the Radar source says . “And viewers have voiced their displeasure at the ugliness of it.” So, if significant changes are made, who do you most want to see get the axe?   Adrienne Maloof Taylor Armstrong Kim Richards Kyle Richards Yolanda Foster View Poll »
