Ronald Watts was such a dirty piece of s#!t that a Cook County judge along with State’s Attorney Kim Foxx have freed yet another 10 men from imprisonment behind false arrests. According to the Chicago-Sun Times , those 10 newly released men bring the total number of freed inmates to 63…SIXTY-THREE! Says Sean Starr of the Exoneration Project at the University of Chicago Law School: “When the system fails one of us, it fails every single one of us,” Starr said at a news conference after a brief court hearing before Chief Criminal Court Judge LeRoy K. Martin Jr. “Their stories are just the latest examples of a calculated, feigned ignorance on behalf of the Chicago Police Department of the victimization of black and brown, lower-income communities in Chicago. As citizens of the city, we need to demand more, we need to demand accountability.” In 2012 Watts and partner Kallatt Mohammed were caught and charged with stealing $5,000 from a federal informant who was recording the entire shakedown. That sting was set up because Watts and co. had been accused of targeting minorities living in the Ida B. Well housing projects for fugazi drugs busts and bogus arrests. How did these phony-a$$ arrests affect the people who were imprisoned and their loved ones, you ask? Well, allow us to tell you: Derrick Lewis, who twice was sent to prison after Watts’ officers planted drugs on him, spent a total of more than seven years in prison. The convictions made his then-fiancée question his character, and she left him for another man while he was locked up. Though both his arrests took place more than a decade ago, Lewis said he still suffers because of his time behind bars. “We lost things that you can never get back,” said Lewis, who protested that he was innocent from the moment he was arrested. “We have a right to feel how we feel, now that it’s coming out that we were actually telling the truth.” It’s an evil world we live in. Source: Splash News / Splash News Bill Cosby Moved To General Population Contrary to popular belief, Bill Cosby is not bicking back and booling in a special area of the Pennsylvania prison where he’s currently serving three to ten years for sexual assault. According to reports, the legally blind 81-year old has been moved to general population and is now in a single cell without a cell mate. State corrections spokeswoman Amy Worden told CNN that Cosby is being “treated just the same as any other inmate. Worden added that inmates there can spend several hours a day in the gym library, class or day room and that Cosby has inmates assigned to help him at times, given his age and disability. The fallen legend has already spent about four months in special housing as he adjusted to the SCI-Phoenix prison in suburban Pennsylvania. Welp.

Source: Westend61 / Getty Man Fakes A Fall At Work And Gets Charged With Fraud A man from New Jersey has officially been charged with fraud after surveillance footage showed him faking a “slip and fall” at his former workplace, according to reports from   CBS . The (honestly kind of hilarious) video shows 57-year-old Alexander Goldinsky purposely turning over a cup of ice onto the floor of his office’s break room. After then throwing the cup in the garbage, he walks back over and steps on an ice cube, and very unconvincingly “falls” on the floor. The man stayed there, laying on his back until he was discovered, CBS reports. Following this poor attempt at some insurance money for his “accident,” Goldinsky was later arrested on January 15 and charged with insurance fraud and theft by deception since, ya know, the fall seems completely non-accidental . The incident took place last year at an unidentified company in New Jersey, where Goldinsky was employed as an independent contractor. Following his arrest, he was released with a summons until he has to go to court in February. “Yes, I was brought to the police department,” he said to CBS New York. “I didn’t do it, it was a mistake.” But, on the contrary, authorities believe that the footage clearly shows he faked the fall. Following the incident, Goldinsky filed a claim for an ambulance and medical care at a hospital for the injuries he allegedly suffered. This is still an open and active investigation, according to prosecutors. The New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal is taking a bigger interest in cracking down on insurance fraud within the state, according to CBS New York. WELP: Tekashi 6ix9ine Pleads Guilty To 8 Federal Counts, Facing 47 Years In Prison

TMZ reports that the rapper who was arrested in November on racketeering and firearm charges has pleaded guilty to EIGHT counts. The counts include; multiple counts of racketeering, conspiracy, firearms offenses, and narcotics trafficking. Tekashi did not plead guilty however to a charge involving an April 3, 2018 robbery of rivals of the Nine Trey gang. As previously r eported prosecutors claimed that he fired a gun while committing a crime and the charge for that carries a possible life sentence with a mandatory minimum of 25 years served. They alleged that he and his manager Shottie and two other Blood Gang members robbed rival gang members at gunpoint. In the newly unsealed court docs, prosecutors claim the rapper was involved in dealing heroin, fentanyl, ecstasy, amphetamines, and marijuana, and conspired multiple acts of murder, robbery, and extortion. If you’re curious about the “Dummy Boy’s” fate, you’ll have to wait—he won’t be sentenced until January 2020. The DailyNews reports however that he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 47 years in prison, but could get less for his cooperation. “In the fall of 2017, I met and joined the Nine Trey Blood Gang. As a member of Nine Trey, the enterprise engaged in such activities including shooting at people, robbing people, and at times drug trafficking,” said Tekashi, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez. He said that on March 20, 2018 he “helped members of NineTrey attempt to kill a rival gang member.” The following month he helped fellow gangsters rob a rival, he said. WELP, so much for that. Someone’s going to jail—PERIOD.

Ganja Burn: Police Find Marijuana Growing Operation In Iowa Mayor’s Basement

Source: Doug Menuez / Getty Jamaica, Iowa Mayor LaDonna Kennedy and her husband Randy Kennedy were arrested on Wednesday after police found 18 marijuana plants and nine weed packages in the couple’s basement. KCCI News reports : Authorities made the discovery after they received a tip that Rodney Halterman, who was wanted on an arrest warrant for attempted murder in Story County, was hiding in a home owned by Mayor Kennedy and her husband. While looking for Halterman in Jamaica, deputies called for a search warrant because they smelled an “overwhelming odor of raw marijuana” coming from the house. After a search warrant was issued, law enforcement authorities found 18 marijuana plants, nine packages of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Each package was estimated to contain 4-5 ounces of marijuana. Come to find out, Halterman wasn’t even hiding in the home. However, Greene County sheriff’s deputies found him soon after, and arrested him. The Kennedys’ were have been charged with manufacture with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and two counts of failure to affix a drug stamp. They’ve since been released and are waiting for their court date..

Source: The Washington Post / Getty Walmart Santa Charged With Concealing Death Of 2 Children Elwyn Crocker Sr. is something a lot darker and more sinister than simply “naughty”. According to the AJC , the 50-year-old who until recently played Santa at the Walmart in Rincon, Georgia was arrested along with his wife and her parents and charged with child cruelty and concealing a death after the bodies of his two children, Mary Crocker and Elwyn Crocker Jr., were found buried in his backyard. Crocker Jr had been missing since November 2016 and Mary was last sighted back in October but neither were ever reported missing. Police received a concerned tip about Mary’s disappearance and went to interview her father at his home. During that interview, police got the hunch that they should do some digging around the Crocker’s backyard where the bodies were discovered. Their cause and manner of death are still the subject of an ongoing investigation. Effingham County is small farming town of only 2,000 and news of the crime is unlike any they have ever encountered. “I’ve been doing this 41 years, and a while ago I almost broke down in tears,” Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie told reporters, his voice shaking. “It’s that bad. I cannot understand how you do children like this. It’s horrible.” Santa is supposed to be benevolent and kind, not murder-y. Careful about who’s lap you place your children on to take cute Christmas pics…

Juelz Santana Sentenced To 28 Months Juelz Santana is going to jail. The rapper who was busted with a loaded gun at the airport and eight oxycodone pills will spend a little over two years; 28 months to be exact, behind bars. According to TMZ Juelz was sentenced today, December 19. They add that he’ll also be under supervised release for 12 months after he’s completed his time and there’s no date on when he’ll have to turn himself in. If you’re wondering why Juelz is going away for so long, it’s because he’s a convicted felon and plead guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon. Juelz is making the most of his time while he’s still free. He and his now fiancee Kimbella recently posted for engagement photos for The B Collective magazine. According to The Jasmine Brand , the Epic Records VP of A&R has allegedly been jailed for trying to smuggle ecstasy pills through the airport in her underwear. Sources revealed to TJB: French Montana made plans to travel to Abu Dhabi on the weekend of November 22nd for a performance and to celebrate his GQ Middle East cover. At the time, Zoe Alicia, whose other client Zoey Dollaz was also hosting a party at 1OAK Dubai that week, allegedly begged the rapper to allow her on the trip. After some thought, French Montana agreed to fly Zoe Alicia to Dubai, but she would have to purchase her own flight back to the United States. While attempting to return to the United States from Dubai, airport security allegedly found ecstasy pills hidden in Zoe Alicia’s underwear. She was taken into custody where she remains in a Dubai jail cell. No word on how much ecstacy Zoe had on her, or how long she’ll be behind bars, but the UAE has a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal and some prescription drugs. Worst case scenario is the death penalty.
