Happy Turkey Day family. We won’t call it Thanksgiving Day since our Native American brothers and sisters got swindled, but that’s another story. On this day when folks give praise—and stuff their bellies—to all the blessings they have received in 2012 while surrounded by family and friends, we couldn’t help but think about what we’re thankful for in the rap game… Continue
Now boys… Gabriel Aubry And Olivier Martinez Arrested And Hospitalized After Fight At Halle Berry’s Home According to TMZ reports : Gabriel Aubry was arrested Thanksgiving morning after a melee at Halle Berry’s house, which sent both Gabriel and Halle’s fiance Olivier Martinez to the hospital … TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Gabriel showed up at Halle’s doorstep with Nahla for a custodial hand-off. We’re told Gabriel was inside the house when Olivier walked up to him and said, “We have to move on.” According to witnesses, Gabriel then pushed Olivier and threw a punch at his face, but Olivier blocked it and the punch struck him in the shoulder instead. We’re told Gabriel then pushed Olivier to the ground, and Olivier cold-cocked him in the face, and a struggle ensued, ending with Olivier pinning Gabriel to the ground. In the struggle, Gabriel suffered a broken rib, contusions on his face, and possibly a more serious head injury. Olivier may have broken his hand and suffered neck injuries as well. There are conflicting accounts as to whether Gabriel was rendered unconscious in the fight. Furthermore… Police were called and Olivier made a citizen’s arrest for battery against Gabriel. Gabriel was escorted to the ER and, ironically, Olivier went to the same ER an hour later. The two were just down the hall from each other. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … a judge has issued an emergency protective order, which requires Gabriel to stay 100 yards away from Halle, Olivier, and Nahla. And finally, there’s this … specifics about the argument between Gabriel and Olivier are sketchy because they were trash talking each other in French. It’s pretty shocking — considering Gabriel was out with Nahla just last night for a movie date at the Grove. According to the latest update, Gabriel Aubry has been released from the hospital and is currently in jail facing charges. Welp Halle, happy thanksgiving, all your fawkery and shenanigans have finally come to a head. How ya feel? Check back with Bossip as more details emerge!
After eight days of deadly fighting and air raids, both Hamas and Israel have come to an agreement to back off. A cease-fire was announced earlier today by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Foreign Minister Mohamed Amr of Egypt and was welcomed by all leaders involved. According to The New York Times , the hold on fighting isn’t a certainty: Even in the minutes leading up to the effective start time, the antagonists were firing at each other, and the Israeli authorities reported at least five Palestinian rockets were lobbed into southern Israel shortly after the cease-fire had begun. But no damage or injuries were reported and the rocket fire seemed to end in the second hour. In Gaza, thousands of residents came outside to celebrate. “This is a critical moment for the region,” Mrs. Clinton, who rushed to the Middle East late Tuesday in an intensified effort to halt the hostilities, told reporters in Cairo. She thanked Egypt’s president, Mohamed Morsi, who played a pivotal role in the negotiations, for “assuming the leadership that has long made this country a cornerstone of regional stability and peace.” Mrs. Clinton also pledged to work “with our partners across the region to consolidate this progress, improve conditions for the people of Gaza, provide security for the people of Israel.” Mr. Amr said Egypt’s role in reaching the agreement reflected its “historical commitment to the Palestinian cause” and Egypt’s efforts to “bring together the gap between the Palestinian factions.” The top leader of Hamas, Khaled Meshal, also had strong words of praise for the Egyptian leader, a former official in the Muslim Brotherhood, in which Hamas has roots. At a news conference in Cairo, Mr. Meshal thanked Egypt for its role and said Israel had “failed in all its objectives.” The negotiators reached an agreement after days of nearly nonstop Israeli aerial assaults on Gaza, the Mediterranean enclave run by Hamas, and the firing of hundreds of rockets into Israel from an arsenal Hamas had been amassing since the three-week Israeli invasion four years ago. Under the terms distributed after the cease-fire was announced, Israel agreed to stop all land, sea and air hostilities in Gaza, including the “targeting of individuals” — a reference to militants of Hamas and its affiliates who have been killed. The cease-fire also called on the Palestinian factions in Gaza to stop all hostilities against Israel, including rocket attacks and attacks along the border. But the terms also state that underlying grievances of Gazans, most notably the border restrictions Israel has imposed that impede the movement of people and goods through Gaza, will be addressed starting 24 hours after the cease-fire is in effect. Precisely how they will be addressed was left unclear. Also left unclear was how the agreement would be enforced, but the terms stated that “each party shall commit itself not to perform any acts that would breach this understanding.” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, who had been threatening to start another ground invasion if the Gaza rockets did not stop, said in a statement that he was satisfied, for the moment, with the outcome. But he left open the possibility of more military action. This is centuries of fighting that we hope leaders can find some resolution to soon. Images via AP
That would’ve been a fun birthday party ! According to CBS News : In two separate border crossings only a few hours apart, U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized more than 425 pounds of mary and seven pounds of methamphetamine from two individuals attempting to enter the United States from Mexico. The two incidents took place at the Mariposa Port of Entry in Nogales around midday. The first discovery occurred after officers detained Juan Marcelo Armstrong, 24, of Tucson, for additional inspection as he attempted to enter the United States. A narcotics detection canine searching the vehicle alerted CBP authorities to the presence of drugs. More than 425 pounds of mary jane were discovered in a shipment of piñatas in the bed of the vehicle. The second incident took place just a few hours later after officers referred Pedro de Jesus Magana-Caballero, 28, Sonora, Mexico, for additional inspection of his vehicle as he attempted to enter the U.S. Again, a narcotics detection canine searching the vehicle alerted CBP authorities to the presence of drugs. A package was discovered in the oil pan of the vehicle containing approximately seven pounds of methamphetamine. In both cases the individuals were arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations, while the drugs and vehicles were processed for seizure. We’d like to know what genius thought a rack load of Piñatas wasn’t going to look suspect!?!? Images via wafb
Trying to rid himself of ‘the gay’ drove him crazy !! The stories of what went down behind closed doors in the group home are disturbing. According to The Advocate : The ex-gay leader of a Christian prayer group is under investigation for possibly coordinating his wife’s murder. Tyler Deaton, 26, of Kansas City, Mo., is under investigation for allegedly coordinating the murder of Bethany Deaton, 27. A member of the prayer group, 23-year-old Micah Moore, told investigators that Deaton persuaded him to murder Bethany, and make it appear as a suicide. Moore has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Moore also told investigators many details of the group’s inner workings, according to The Kansas City Star. Moore said the group, which lived together in a home in Grandview, Mo., used intercourse as a means of spirituality. In the four months since the Deatons got married, several male members of the group allegedly assaulted Bethany. The Deatons attended the Methodist-affiliated Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. At school, Tyler Deaton became a forceful defender of his faith and the Bible, and started his own campus organization when he found the existing groups were not strict enough. “Everything had to go his way,” former classmate Christy Little told the Star. “One time he said there would be no discussion until everyone agreed that the King James version was the only true version of the Bible. Well, I was Catholic so I had a problem with that. So we argued and of course Tyler won everybody over because that’s what he did.” A member of his campus group added that it was clear he was struggling with his orientation, but “he believed God could fix things.” Another student added that Deaton eventually “overcame” his homosexuality, and that it was considered a victory. After graduation in 2009, Bethany and Tyler Deaton came to Kansas City, Mo., to join the International House of Prayer’s school and ministry, with other classmates. Bethany and Tyler wed in August. Since then some of the members of the group began drugging and assaulting Bethany, while also engaging in intercourse with Tyler, as part of the “religious experience,” witnesses told police. Moore said Tyler was worried Bethany would tell a therapist about the assaults, which is why they conspired to kill her. International House of Prayer’s leaders have condemned Deaton and the breakout prayer group, saying they had “secretive, perverse, cultist practices,” according to Yahoo News. Leaders added that they “deeply regret our failure to discern the nature of Deaton’s alleged secretive, perverse, cultist practices. We further regret his admission to IHOP-U four years ago and all connection he had with our organization.” The organization Truth Wins Out says that IHOP is covering up Deaton’s ties to IHOP. Deaton was reportedly one of six division coordinators for IHOP, even though IHOP claims that their organizers have never even heard of Deaton. Images via facebook

What the hell?: A Broward County school bus assistant was arrested for aggravated child abuse after he choked a 13-year-old autistic boy with a safety harness on the bus, authorities said. Darryl Blue, 48, of Fort Lauderdale “maliciously punished” the middle school student by choking him with the harness he was wearing on Oct. 9, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said in a complaint affidavit. The boy woke up the next day complaining that his neck was hurting, telling his mother that “Mr. Man” choked him and adding, “Don’t let him hurt me,” according to the affidavit. “Mr. Man” was identified as Blue, the affidavit said. He had small bruises on his neck, it said. Broward schools spokesperson Marsy Smith said that Blue has been reassigned within the Transportation Department to a position away from students pending the outcome of the investigation. His mother, Bertis Paulino, told NBC 6 South Florida that Blue should be fired. She also said that she’d like to meet him. “Honestly I would like to get my hands on him, and it’s not going to be a pretty thing. Because my son has never been exposed to violence,” she said. cbs youtube
This lawyer couldn’t even cover up all of the shady isht she was trying to get away with. According to the Concord Monitor , Lisa Biron took a teenage girl to Canada, had her engage in intimate adult activity and convinced her to let it be filmed: FBI agents swiftly arrested Lisa Biron yesterday morning as she awaited a hearing on child film charges at Manchester’s district court. About 9 a.m. FBI agents entered the courtroom, told Biron to leave her belongings and took her into an adjoining conference room where she remained for several minutes before coming out in handcuffs. A few hours later in U.S. District Court in Concord, Biron, who is associated with a national coalition of Christian lawyers, was formally told of the federal charges against her: transportation with intent to engage in criminal activity, possession of child films and five counts of exploitation of children. Judge Landya McCafferty decided to detain Biron yesterday, largely, she said, because she is believed to have broken most of the bail conditions imposed on the district-level children’s film charges. A judge there ordered Biron last month to use her computer only for work, not possess weapons and have no contact with the teenage girl in the five videos and two pictures found on her computer. The no-contact order was the only condition Biron appears to have honored, prosecutor Helen Fitzgibbon told McCafferty. Fitzgibbon said since her release, Biron posted an advertisement on Craigslist, the same listing service where she met the individual who ultimately tipped off the Manchester police about the films and photos on her computer. And when Biron was arrested yesterday, she told FBI agents who were preparing to search her home that they would find a loaded pistol under her mattress. Agents didn’t find that gun, but they did find 200 rounds of ammunition in Biron’s home, Fitzgibbon said yesterday. That was enough evidence for the judge, who said that while she didn’t consider Biron a flight risk, she was concerned her release would be dangerous for the community. She told Biron the evidence was “extremely troubling,” considering her career as a lawyer. The federal charges against Biron are scheduled for trial in January. If convicted, she faces 10 years to life in prison on the transportation charge and 15 years to life in prison on each of the exploitation of children charges. Biron is associated with the Alliance Defending Freedom, a group of lawyers who, according to their website, are committed to keeping “the door open for the spread of the Gospel” by advocating for “religious liberty, the sanctity of life, and marriage and family.” In Concord, she worked with the ADF in defending a Pentecostal Church on Mountain Road in its tax fight against the city. She recently served on the board of directors at Mount Zion Christian Schools in Manchester, according to the school’s headmaster. On Biron’s Facebook page, which was taken down in recent weeks, she had listed the Bible as her favorite book. Piff Puffers out in Wisconsin just don’t give a fug cause they’re growing herb right in the middle of the state’s Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. This isht is getting so out of control that the U.S. Forest Service has asked hunters and fishermen to look out for mary jane while they’re out in the area. That sounds like a good plan. Make hunters with guns feel like they’re in a real-life version of Call of Duty . According to CNN : Since 2008, nine marijuana growing operations have been discovered on public land within the state. Most recently, in late August, a fisherman visiting the forest happened upon a marijuana field that netted more than 8,000 plants worth $8 million. “The fisherman was walking along the banks of the Oconto River and noticed these patches that had been cleared and disturbed. Trees were down, things didn’t look right, and he reported that to authorities, and a surveillance operation was established,” said Jane Cliff, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Forest Service eastern region. Approximately 150 federal, state, tribal and local law enforcement agents were involved in the sting that followed, leading to the arrest of seven people. All of the suspects pleaded guilty and are in prison awaiting trial. The suspects each face anywhere from 10 years to life in prison, a maximum fine of $10 million and five years to life of supervised release. But this isn’t the first time this has happened, the Forest Service says. It’s actually the third big bust in three years at the forest, resulting in the eradication of more than 80,000 marijuana plants that were cultivated by large drug trafficking organizations. That’s why authorities say they are reaching out to hunters in their regulation books and offering them training programs, warning them to be careful and asking them to note the GPS location of any suspicious areas and call the authorities as soon as they can. “Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest is large, secluded and heavily roaded, so our personnel cannot by themselves keep an eye on every acre,” Cliff said. “That’s why we are relying on forest users to share information with us.” “We conduct aerial surveillance, and we have seen a change in the growers’ tactics. A number of years ago, there would be large multithousand plant fields concentrated in one area, and now they have a couple of hundred plants in one location and then another couple hundred plants a couple hundred yards away which makes aerial detection more difficult,” said David Spakowicz, the director of field operations for the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s criminal investigation division. Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen said he and special agents at the Wisconsin Department of Justice are “not only aggressively investigating and eradicating these grows, but also working with our local and federal partners to hold accountable the individuals responsible for operating such grow operations.” “That kind of aggressive eradication and enforcement ought to send a message to those who think they can profit from growing illegal drugs on Wisconsin’s public lands, threatening our natural resources and potentially the people who enjoy them,” he said in a statement to CNN. The concern is that a person walking through the forest will come across not only an illegal grow operation, but also heavily armed growers. “If they are protecting $10 million of marijuana plants, that’s a lot of money, and there have been gun battles with law enforcement in other states such as California,” Spakowicz said. “We worry that they will bring the same level of violence with them.” Because the concern for public safety is so great, the state attorney general’s office works in conjunction with the Department of Justice to strongly prosecute marijuana growers. “We believe we need to arrest people in order to send a message to these marijuana growers that they are not welcome in Wisconsin and that their activities will be not be accepted,” Spakowicz said. Wisconsin is targeting illegal marijuana growers because it has millions of acres of remote public land. According to the state Department of Justice, 32 people have been arrested for illegally growing marijuana since 2008, and most were non-U.S. citizens in the country illegally. All of the suspects are expected to serve their sentences before they are deported, the department says. Several suspects interviewed by law enforcement said they were recruited from California to come to Wisconsin. In some cases they were told openly that they are to work in a marijuana growing operation, while in other cases they came believing they were to work in a restaurant. Some suspects also said they didn’t even know what state they were in. “They are large, drug trafficking organizations; they are not mom and pop operations,” she said. “These are people doing this to make a lot of money.” That’s some pretty bold and stupid isht right there.
