Source: Mark Metcalfe / Getty Grace Jones Reportedly Quits ‘Bond 25’ Because Her Role Wasn’t Big Enough Ms. Grace Jones will not be relegated to the background. According to sources from The Sun , the iconic performer walked off the set of the new James Bond movie, Bond 25 , because she didn’t have enough lines. Jones already has Bond experience thanks to her role as the villain May Day in 1985’s A View To A Kill. The 70-year-old diva was expected to make an epic comeback in the new Bond 25 movie. However, sources say she was not satisfied with her role in the film. It’s a shame too, considering the crew spent loads of money making sure her stay was comfortable. According to sources, the production secured a luxury residence for Ms. Jones to stay in near Pinewood Studios in Buckingshamshire. “Of course, she comes with a reputation, so they organized premium accommodation and rolled out the red carpet on set to make her feel welcome,” one source said. “But it turns out Grace was expecting to play a bigger role in the movie and took her brief cameo as a slight. She was out of there quicker than it takes to rustle up a martini.” Damn. Grace’s cameo was first rumored back in April and it was expected to involve a scene with Daniel Craig . Ever since the movie started production, things have been pretty hectic. The original director of the movie, Danny Boyle , quit in August 2018 over the direction of the script. Then, earlier this month, outrage erupted on set after Boyle’s replacement, Cary Fukunaga , skipped filming to play on his Playstation, according to sources. This is a rumor he eventually denied , however. Despite all the chaos, Bond 35 is still scheduled to hit theaters on April 3 of next year.
It doesn’t take much to stir up controversy in the Duggar family. The Counting On Clan is so ultra-conservative that the sight of female Duggar wearing pants instead of a floor-length skirt is enough to spark a heated debate. So you can imagine Jim Bob and Michelle’s chagrin over Derick Dillard and the extent to which Jill Duggar’s husband seems to revel in stirring up scandals. As you probably know, Derick was fired from Counting On back in 2017 after making bigoted comments about a trans teen on social media. Jill quit the show as a show of solidarity, and the couple has been doing some serious belt-tightening ever since. The Duggars preach that material wealth is a sign of God’s love and approval, so they’re probably not thrilled about Derick’s decision to toss a couple of six-figure careers out the window. But at least Jim Bob and Michelle can be glad that Jill didn’t wind up with Derick’s brother Dan. If you follow the family closely, you may know that the Duggars had some misgivings about Jill marrying into the Dillard clan, primarily because his family is made up of relatively normal people with normal problems. The Dillards are conservative evangelicals, just like the Duggars (otherwise, the union would not have been approved), but they’re not wealthy, and they’re not as absurdly orthodox in their religious beliefs. The family has endured a number of hardships, including the death of Derick’s father, as well as his mother’s battle with stage four non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Now, Cathy Dillard has detailed her fight with cancer as well as some other family travails, in the dramatically-titled memoir, I Shall Not Die: My Walk Through the Valley of Death. But thus far, the media focus on the book has had less to do with Cathy’s cancer and more to do with hints that her son Dan was briefly a non-believer with a major substance abuse problem. “As I recall, he described how he had been running from God, and he had finally quit running and surrendered, letting Jesus come in and take over,” Cathy writes. “He now realized that had been a decision of his head and not his heart,” she continues. “He had grown up in church and knew all the right things to do and say, but in his words, he had ‘been living a double life.’ He never turned his life over to Jesus.” Dan’s Facebook post seems to corroborate his mother’s account of his “misspent” youth. The father of one revealed that he was on “a path to self-destruction” as recently as 2016. “The past year has been an incredibly difficult journey full of struggles and pain, but one that I have not had to go through alone,” Dan wrote at the time. “This journey is only beginning. If you are reading this, know that I am praying for you and what you are going through right now.” While neither Dan nor his mother went into detail regarding his struggles, fans have reached some conclusions based on his involvement in the fight against opioid addiction. “Enjoyed speaking today at our Boone County Opioid Prevention Project kickoff,” Dan recently wrote on Instagram. “Thanks to the Criminal Justice Institute for their partnership in this initiative #DFC #CJI #Prevention #ReversingTrends.” Whatever his struggles may have been, however, Dan seems to have arrived at a happy ending — he and wife Deena welcomed a baby boy in September. Jenelle Evans chose her husband, David Eason, over the safety of her children, even after he brutally murdered their dog in front of them. One piece of good news is that Maryssa, Jace, Kaiser, and Ensley are not living on The Land right now. Another is that they hopefully won't be put back in harm's way — at least, not right now. Reports say that Jenelle Evans' custody battle could go on for months . That should at least buy the children some time. But Jenelle's (former) castmate, Briana DeJesus, thinks that it's wrong to keep the kids relatively safe. She thinks that they should be sent back to Jenelle's trauma factory of a house. Why? Because Briana believes that kids should stay with their moms — no matter what . 1. Briana is Team Jenelle! They’ve been friends for a while. Some friends would express concern about allegations that David has been abusing Jenelle and her children for years. 2. That’s right — the kids and dogs aren’t the only ones at risk Remember when Jenelle dialed 911 and described David assaulting her but later claimed that it was a misunderstanding? Sure, Jan. I refuse to feel shame. I refuse to believe the lies and evil that flood my comments. I am standing firm in believing that maybe God wants to use a mess like me to point to His goodness and grace. But dang, it’s hard. The amount of hate I and the men on this journey with me receive…it’s chilling to know so many people want to spread hurt so recklessly. We all fall short of the glory of God…we just happen to do it on national television. Perhaps she can now be comforted by the knowledge that she doesn’t need to fight this battle on her own. Bristowe, the season 11 Bachelorette lead, rushed immediately to the Alabama native’s defense on Tuesday after a Twitter user noted “women are coming after” Brown and “slut-shaming her like they did to you.” To her credit, Kaitlyn was simply NOT having this. “Women can have sex if they choose, and women can wait till marriage if they choose,” Bristowe replied, adding with emphasis: “Point is, ITS THEIR CHOICE. When you’re making a life-altering decision to find a life partner, intimacy can be important. Why is that so hard to understand?#TheBachelorette.” We wish we knew, Kaitlyn. Bristowe went on to call for support from all of Bachelor Nation. “Of course, we should,” she tweeted. “Have you ever done something you regret, and needed support? Or would you be fine with everyone coming after you, when you’re probably already being hard on yourself. He shot a series of UV portraits using ultraviolet photography. The photos illustrate and show the true undertones of our skin and what the longterm effects of the sun will do on your skin. I had an opportunity to get my photo taken by the photographer through a Walgreens ‘Beneath The Surface’ Beauty & Skincare Event. It was an opportunity for me to see what products Walgreens was offering for summer and why I recently loaded up on sunscreen from my local store. On-goers marveled at how my skin didn’t have any sun spots. Nevertheless, the dermatologist seemed very concerned about my skin and its condition. She was a white dermatologist and I only mention this because I do believe it’s important to see a specialist who understands and knows your skin tone. Through Dove, I had the opportunity to sit with Dr. Mona Gohara, who chatted with me all things sunscreen and skincare to protect our melanin in the summer. I showed her the illustration and she actually told me my skin was great. I then dropped the big bomb on her. I don’t use sunscreen regularly. I don’t use sunscreen when I’m on vacations because I feel like my skin is deprived from the sun as I’m normally inside and I live in NYC. I’m a sun baby. I grew up in Florida where I regularly felt the rays dance across my skin. Dr. Mona explained that our melanin gives us a natural 13 SPF; however, we still need to do more. “The way Black and brown skin ages is with hyperpigmentation We have melanin, which is our greatest gift. Melanin protects us from the sun. Protecting us from the sun frankly, helps our skin not wrinkle as easy and maintain our elasticity.” She continued, “If you look at an 80-year-old white woman compared to a 80-year-old Black woman, the white woman will have wrinkles and sun spots. Black people will have hyper pigmentation, that’s how we age.” Melanin is our protector, but it’s also the active ingredient that makes us hyper pigment. It wasn’t just me, she sympathized that the average person is not diligent in sunscreen. Dr. Mona shared, “Diligence means a shot glass over your entire body every two hours. That’s how you are supposed to apply sunscreen.” However, it’s not only the sun that we need protecting from. Dr. Mona explained, “Sunscreen isn’t just protecting you from the sun, it’s protecting you from visible light, like light bulbs, and blue light, like your computer and phone.” While we may not be in the sun, how many hours a day do you spend on your phone or your computer? She added, “It’s now about protection from different types of light.” What’s so bad about looking on your phone all the time without protection? Dr. Mona stated, “Visible light can promote malasma and hyper pigmentation, so we are extrapolating other types of light that we’re coming in contact with like the phone and computer can be damaging as well, built we don’t know to what extent.” Source: Dove Beauty Bar / Courtesy of Dove If skin health is a priority, then sunscreen should be a priority. Dr. Mona educated, “90% of the visible signs of aging come from unprotected exposure to ultra violet light.” Black and brown skin also ages with dryness. 90s Singer Back With New Music Following Hiatus From “Color Me Badd” He made his name singing seductive ballads as one-fourth of 1990s group “Color Me Badd.” And Mark Calderon wants you to know that he’s far from hanging up his mic – in fact, he’s in the middle of a comeback. The “I Wanna Sex You Up” crooner has just dropped a new single, “It’s Like Good Sex.”The song “is actually referring to good music,” Calderon told BOSSIP. “A song can take you different places…that’s what I’m trying to get across. The music is like good sex.” Calderon said he released the song without the backing of a record company or a distributor and plans to release more music that’ll be a mix of country, R&B, gospel and pop. “Right now, I’m without a record label,” Calderon said. “I’m basically doing it all on my own. The good thing about it is that there’s no deadlines, no timelines, no red tape.” Now a married father who makes his home in Cincinnati, OH, Calderon said he began toying with the idea of getting back to the studio while he was on tour with “Color Me Badd” as part of the “I Love The 90s” tour. “I probably should have done this a long time ago,” he added. The Real Housewives of Orange County will look different than it has in past seasons when it returns with new episodes this summer. Why? Because Vicki Gunvalson has been demoted. She's been downgraded to the status of “friend,” as opposed to full-time cast member. This sort of sucks, and yet one thing is made clear by the preview featured here: Gunvalson will still be at the forefront of lots of drama on Season 14. Despite Tamra Judge, Shannon Storms Beador, Kelly Dodd, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson and newcomer Braunwyn Windham-Burke announced by Bravo at this season's leading ladies, Vicki is slammed as a “con woman” and a “crook” in this trailer. And long-time viewers can guess who's doing the slamming, right? Yup: Vicki's rival, Kelly Dodd. Gunvalson comes right back at Dodd in the footage, accusing her of being a bully. But it's a couple different descriptions that really gnaw at Kelly and prompt a response. “I don’t do cocaine, and I’m not a f-cking whore,” she says, seemingly replying to the claims Vicki had made at last year’s reunion. Elsewhere, Gina – who joined the cast in season 13 – grows emotional presumably about her arrest for drunk driving. “It just hurts. It’s so unfair,” she says to Shannon, who reassures her, “I’ll be there for you.” The women later make the surprising decision go to a therapy healing session to help them each through the traumas in their lives – but it’s unsure if it actually helps. It may actually end up hurting. As for Gunvalson and her reaction to getting demoted? “For the past 14 years I’ve opened up my life, my loves, my ups and downs on The Real Housewives of Orange County and I am proud to be the 'OG of the OC,'” she wrote on Instagram after the news broke, adding: “I am back again this season right in the middle of the action, and I hope you have as much fun watching the show as I did living it in front of the cameras.” As for new addition Braunwyn? She's a mother of seven – yes, SEVEN! – with a full house that includes a baby, toddler, twin kindergarteners and three teenagers. When she's not escaping to her love shack with husband Sean, Braunwyn is always ready for a mom’s night out as she gets to know these OC ladies in more ways than one, writes Bravo as part of the official network synopsis.
