Source: kali9 / Getty Mother Leaves Her Three Children In The Car To Jump Off A Bridge According to Pittsburgh police, a woman parked her car on the Homestead Grays Bridge on Friday evening, left her three children inside of the vehicle, and proceeded to jump over the railing, killing herself. A city public safety spokesman said police, fire and EMS crews responded to the bridge about 7:20 p.m. for a report of a woman on the outer railing, per reports from The Pittsburgh Post-Gazett e . By the time emergency responders arrived on the scene, the woman had fallen into the Monongahela River; River Rescue recovered her body at about 9:15 p.m. and that is when she was declared dead. The woman was identified as 26-year-old Stanlee Allyn Holbrook of McKees Rocks, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office. Police said that they found three children between the ages of 1 and 9 in the car and luckily, all of them were unharmed. The children were taken to a local hospital for evaluation and will be turned over to CYF, according to the spokesman. Following the incident, two lanes of traffic were closed while police processed the scene, snarling traffic in the surrounding areas.

Harris, M.D., M.A. , was sworn in as president of the American Medical Association; making her the first African American woman to be at the helm of the country’s largest collective of physicians and medical students. During her inaugural speech, Dr. Harris highlighted the issues that she intends to address as she starts her new role. Amongst the things on her agenda are implementing effective strategies to improve healthcare education and training, combating the crisis surrounding chronic diseases, and eliminating barriers to quality patient care. Dr. Harris also hopes to push the conversations about mental health and diversity in the medical field forward. “We face big challenges in health care today, and the decisions we make now will move us forward in a future we help create,” she said in a statement, according to the news outlet. “We are no longer at a place where we can tolerate the disparities that plague communities of color, women, and the LGBTQ community. But we are not yet at a place where health equity is achieved e in those communities. I hope to be tangible evidence for young girls and young boys and girls from communities of color that you can aspire to be a physician. Not only that, you can aspire to be a leader in organized medicine.” Dr. Harris—who has served as an AMA board secretary and AMA board chair—has had a storied medical career thus far. Prior to being appointed to become president of the American Medical Association, she served as the chief health officer of Fulton County, Georgia and has worked with several healthcare organizations to advance their services. She also served as an adjunct professor in Emory University’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Several Black doctors are breaking barriers in the medical field. A group of African American medical professionals recently opened the first Black-owned urgent care center on the South Side of Chicago. T he contributions of mathematicians Mary Jackson , Katherine Johnson , and Dorothy Vaughan will forever be embedded in the fabric of American history. The three women were honored by NASA for pushing space exploration forward. According to NPR , the agency renamed the street in front of its headquarters to celebrate the legacies of the women. On Wednesday, the loved ones of the women, author Margot Lee Shetterly —who wrote the book Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race —politicians, and supporters watched as the plan came to fruition during a street unveiling ceremony. “Naming this street Hidden Figures Way serves to remind us, and everyone who comes here, of the standard that was set by these women, with their commitment to science and their embodiment of the values of equality, justice and humanity,” said Shetterly during the ceremony. “But, let it also remind us of the Hidden Figures way, which is to open our eyes to [contributions] of the people around us so that their names, too, are the ones that we remember at the end of the story.” NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine says that the recognition of their accomplishments is far overdue. “Here we are, 50 years after the landing of the Apollo 11 moon lander, celebrating those figures who were, at the time, not celebrated.” The three pioneers who broke barriers for African Americans in the space industry have received several honors and accolades. In 2017, NASA named a new space facility after Katherine Johnson. Lego also released a toy set inspired by the women to not only honor their accomplishments but to expose young children of color to career paths in the realm of STEM. Jordan Craig is in no way convinced by Khloe Kardashian’s recent statement. After reports began accusing Khloe of dating Tristan Thompson while he was still with his pregnant and at the time GF, Jordan, back in 2016 – the reality star finally put the stories to rest. But now Jordan is throwing the ball back in her court, saying Khloe’s timeline just doesn’t add up . This “you lose ’em how you get ’em” charade has been going on for far too long — does it really even matter?! Tristan Thompson sucks. The entire world knows that. But for some reason, people are now trying to pin the homewrecker title on to Khloe because in Jordan’s eyes she was the other woman. Both Khloe and Jordan have felt the pain caused by no good Tristan — so can’t they just move on and call it a day? Um, no. Khloe finally shared “her truth” this week after court documents Craig filed this past November (as part of her child support battle against Thompson) surfaced. The claims accused Khloe and Tristan of cheating and Jordan said her pregnancy became “one of the most popular gossip headlines.” She also argued that the drama caused her to have heatlth isses during her pregnancy . But Khloe wasn’t going to sit back and let her name tarnish, of course. “I’m disappointed that I even feel the need to post this but… I need to say my truth,” she began her explanation on her Instagram story. “My truth is: I met Tristan because HE CHOSE to go on a blind date with me.” She then explained how they went on a few dates and Tristan told her about his pregnant ex. “Obviously, I was reluctant about us continuing to date or start a relationship.” But Khloe, being the oh so clever woman that she is, checked with his inner circle and even his mother to double check that his relationship with Craig was over. “He showed me physical proof (correspondence between the two) and had me on calls with his lawyers to prove his point,” she shared. “His best friends, business associates and even his mother told me, him and his ex were broken up before we met.” Sounds like a lot of investigating for just a few dates — maybe she should have trusted her gut back in 2016? “This is my truth!” Khloe continued. She then went on to apologize for the entire situation and just in case Tristan and his inner circle did lie, she’s sorry. “Truthfully, from the deepest parts of my soul, I am sorry!” she wrote. “I’m sorry for any pain that has been created either way.” “No woman deserves to go through anything like this!” she added. But Jordan had 0 empathy. In fact, she found Khloe’s words completely shady. A source from Us Weekly confirmed that Jordan moved on from the cheating drama, but still questions Khloe’s motives. “Jordan does question the timing of Khloe’s very public timeline of events during that time,” said the source. “She insisted that she was unaware that Tristan had dumped her for Khloe,” said the source. “She would have just preferred that Khloe say nothing publicly.” Now that we have both sides on the table — can we just say how ironic it is that Tristan cheated (for the final time) on Khloe with a woman named Jordyn … It’s not important information — but kind of wild. We, of course, feel terrible for both parties involved, especially because both Khloe and Jordan can’t exactly cancel Tristan out of their lives for good. Considering he is a father to both Khloe’s daughter True and Jordan’s son Prince. According to TMZ , Chyna wants to put her 2-year-old daughter Dream on full reality TV blast and Rob ain’t trying to hear it. Chyna sent Rob release forms to sign and his lawyer Marty Singer replied with a letter threatening major legal action if Chyna tries to proceed without Rob’s consent. Rob and Chyna have 50/50 custody of Dream and there is absolutely nothing that Chyna can do without his blessing. Outside of the drama that he has already gone through with his buxom, blonde, baby mama, Rob’s own experience with reality TV hasn’t exactly been 5-stars. He doesn’t want his daughter exposed to the long days of shooting, staging lights, and everything else that comes along with f***ery production. “Should The Zeus Network proceed with releasing any episodes of the Series or related materials containing Dream’s likeness, it will be acting at its own peril and exposing itself to significant liability.” Can’t really blame Rob. Chyna just fought her mother and hairdresser in just a matter of weeks.
90 Day Fiance: The Other Way is the newest 90 Day spinoff series, And TLC is helping to build the hype with sneak peek videos of the featured couples. Fans have already met Evelin and Corey . Now, they can get to know another The Other Way couple: Laura and Aladin. TLC just featured the couple in a new sneak peak trailer, and this one is a doozy, folks. The trailer first introduces us to Laura, a 51-year-old retiree from Toronto who now lives in Florida. Laura lives with her 21-year-old son Liam, and the two seem to have a very close relationship. At the very least, it's clear they love playing Bingo together. Laura instantly comes off as warm and likeable, and she seems to love her life in Florida. But we quickly find out that she's about to leave her whole life behind to travel half-way around the globe and get married! So far, so good. But then, the trailer introduces us to her fiance, and we had to take a moment because he is, well, not what we expected. Aladin is a personal fitness trainer who lives in Qatar. He started “chit-chatting” with Laura over a year ago on social media, much to Laura's surprise. “I was just like, 'Wow, he's gorgeous,” she recalls. Well, she's not wrong. This is the kind of guy whose every selfie gets the 'eyes' emoji from thirsty followers. But we have to admit the two make a pretty unusual couple. What's going on here? “What is he looking at me for,” Laura wonders aloud. Of course, Laura seems delightful and totally deserving of Aladin's admiration! But, we see why she'd ask. At age 29, Aladin is 22 years younger than Laura — and only eight years older than her son! Yikes. That's a significant age gap, but if they want to be together, Aladin and Laura are both more than old enough to make an informed, responsible decision about it. Of course, “informed, responsible decision” is a very relative term on a show where people fly off to marry someone they've often never met in person. Longtime 90 Day Fiance fans may be hearing alarm bells for a different reason. Aladin is in Qatar but he is originally from Tunisia, just like the infamous 90 Day star Mohammed Jbali. Jbali too was a younger man who romanced an older American woman — to Danielle Mullins' everlasting regret. But, just as not all Americans are like Danielle, not all Tunisians are like Mohammed. And just looking at Aladin is enough to see that he's a very different man. And as the trailer shows us, Laura and Aladin already have a close, and totally charming, relationship. We loved watching the satisfaction on Laura's face while Aladin shows off his abs at her command. “Are you going to be removing more clothes,” Laura asks him, definitely only half-kidding. “Come on,” Aladin laughs back at her. It's an adorable exchange that had us hoping the camera crew would take a hike and give these two a moment. It can be very difficult to maintain a relationship with someone you can only interact with over the internet. They live so far apart that even scheduling times to chat could be tricky because of the different time zones. But these two are certainly making the best of it. The trailer shows off a collection of selfies the two lovebirds have exchanged over social media, all with cute photo filters. Laura explains that after a year or so of chatting, Aladin finally asked if she would like to come to Qatar and meet. We know she took him up on the offer and the two have met in person. But we'll have to tune into 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way to see how it goes down. For the record, we hope it turns out just as sweet as this trailer. We'll be rooting for you Laura. For obvious reasons.
