Hot New Hip Hop is reporting that Succeed Phlyguy was been murdered. According to reports, the MC born Ronnie Cravens Jr, his roommate, a cousin and a friend were at their Henderson apartment when a number of men rushed the entrance. “[The roommate] said as soon as they kicked the door open after they told him to get on the ground that they jacked a rifle back.” Ronnie Cravens Sr. explained to KSNV . “It’s a very devastating blow to any parent.” The friend who was there detailed the crime on Instagram. “They told me a succeed to get on the ground. We were the only ones in the kitchen at the time, I got down, while getting down succeed said ‘oh sh*t’ and ran toward the front door. Shots rang out.” The unnamed associate went on to say that Phlyguy’s demise came when he tried to flee the scene when his cousin exchanged in gunfire with the assailants. His friend played dead until he was certain everyone else in the home was not breathing. Local police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. Fans are so optimistic about Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott getting back together that some think that they’re already dating again. A new report says that this isn’t quite the case, even though they are spending an awful lot of time together and it’s not all about Stormi. But sources close to the couple think that they’ll definitely get back together — and they’ve even worked out a timeline. TMZ reports that, though Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott may have broken up, they’re not entirely acting like it. And though the two had already affirmed their commitment to co-parenting Stormi, it doesn’t look like their time together is all about their daughter. Despite falling out of love, sources describe how Travis has been spending an awful lot of time at Kylie’s house. There are no plans to change this pattern any time soon, of course, as that’s where their precious little girl lives. But after Travis injured his knee on stage during a performance, he’s now recouperating over at Kylie’s. We’re pretty sure that couple breaks up, then man gets injured and must be tended to and they fall back in love is a standard romance premise. But even on the nights when Travis does not sleep over, he’s clearly still taking a walk down memory lane. On those nights, the rapper sleeps at the Beverly Hills home where he and Kylie and Stormi had previously lived together. Travis and Kylie are intentionally working on co-parenting as friends. Friendship is a different dynamic than what they had before. But the calendar itself is going to force the two to spend even more time together, because the holidays are coming up. As evidenced by Kim taking the reins of the big Kardashian Christmas Eve party last year, the holidays are a huge deal for that family. It makes sense, when you have such a large and very close family all living in such proximity to each other. Travis and Kylie are going to make sure that they’re both there for Stormi as her parents to give her “normal” holiday experiences. And even though they’re not currently a couple, some who’ve had their eyes on these two expect that to change before too long. The holidays can bring people closer, and Kylie does have a pattern of getting back with her exes … again and again and again. Kylie and Travis have a lot of unusual factors in their relationship that make them better able to co-parent after a breakup. For one thing, they are both rich. Travis is a millionaire. Kylie is a billionaire. When money is not a stress factor, either for childcare or vacations or anything else, it’s just easier to focus on your child after a breakup. They also became pregnant within weeks of dating, so they didn’t really have a lot of relationship baggage — good or bad — from before the baby bump. They also didn’t have a messy breakup. Despite unsubstantiated cheating rumors , more credible reports say that they just fell out of love. These factors make them better able to co-parent harmoniously, which is very much to the benefit of their daughter. Stormi delights in both of her parents and is growing up faster than any of us can believe. In a recent video, Stormi was listening to a song in which Kylie sings, but demanded that Kylie play music where “daddy sings.” Kylie was clearly amused by this request. Stormi was toddling around, holding the phone, and even tried to swipe the screen. She’s going to have a blast over these holidays. She may even form some lasting memories this time around. As for Kylie and Travis … no one knows the future, but there’s a decent chance that they’ll fall back into old habits under the mistletoe. Source: Andrew Chin / Getty Amazon’s foray into the music business is nothing new. With this latest announcement, it just shows how serious the tech giant is about making its mark in the industry. Amazon, who hosted an event like its concert for Prime Day, will now be holding its own Intersect festival in Las Vegas. The two-day event will be put on by Amazon’s subsidiary Amazon Web Services. It will be headlined by Dave Grohl’s Foo Fighters and Kacey Musgraves. Other names on the bill include Anderson .Paak, Brandi Carlile, Chvrches, H.E.R. and Leon Bridges. Musical performances will not be the only thing attendees can enjoy. There will be plenty of fun activities to partake in, which will including a massive ball pit, “post-apocalyptic dodgeball stadium,” and a video arcade. Food and cocktails will as well as art installations like the “Monolith,” which is a six-story high tower of video art. Women in tech will also be celebrated with a light show consisting of 500 drones which will be programmed and led by a female-lead team. The festival takes place on December 6 and 7 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. The Fader reports the new club night called PrEP+ named after the HIV prevention drug of the same name will be presented by Blonded. The press release describes the night as a homage to New York’s 80s and 90s club scene, and what could have been if the drug existed during that era. The flyer for the inaugural night hints at the renowned queer nightclub, ‘THE WORLD’ possibly serving as the theme for the party. “PrEP+ is the first in a series of nights; an ongoing safe space made to bring people together and dance. PrEP+ will welcome globally celebrated DJs. PrEP+ welcomes everyone.” According to the press release “ticket links have been distributed.” There are also rules to follow if you’re attending No photos or videos are allowed in the venue. Consent is mandatory. No racism. No homophobia. No transphobia. No sexism. No ableism or discrimination in any form will be tolerated. For years the beauty industry ignored the needs of the Black and Brown community by limiting their products to those who fit within their guideline. Once entrepreneurs started creating products that reflected their needs, bigger companies followed suit. Brands took an active role in becoming more inclusive to various skin tones and hair textures. While this is step in the right direction, haircare brand Aveda shows us there’s still a ways to go. This week, Aveda charge a curly haired customer of color a $10.00 “texture fee” because her hair would require more products. In a now viral tweet, Audre voiced her disbelief. So I just got charged $10 extra at Aveda salon for the “textured” hair fee. The woman at the counter said, “It's because we have to use extra product. Please DM us with additional information. While our salons are independently owned and operated, we will ensure this matter is shared with the appropriate teams. “ Once again, there is an issue that screams lack of diversity. A customer shouldn’t have to pay a fee because their hair texture requires more product. Perhaps a modification of the products that address the needs of curly, kinky, and coily hair is a better solution. Planet earth is the home to billions of people who look, speak, and act differently. In such a diverse world, we still encounter these moments that make people of color question why their physical attributes are not good enough to co-exist with everyone else’s. Although Aveda stated they’re “independently owned and operated”, this mentality is not specific to the store that Audre visited. This policy is practiced by other companies all over the world. Audre and Aveda have not come to a conclusion yet, but I hope she is vindicated. What is likely to happen is Aveda will put out a statement and conduct an equity and inclusion training for their staff. This has become the formula brands resort to when their employees lack good judgement.
