From Desperate Housewife to Anxious Inmate! Last month, actress Felicity Huffman was sentenced to 14 days in prison for her involvement in the now-infamous college admissions bribery scandal. Today, the 56-year-old actress turned herself over to authorities to begin her two-week sting behind bars. In a way, the sentence is the sort of compromise that satisfies no one. Prosecutors initially pushed for a much harsher sentence of four months for Huffman. Her lawyers were able to whittle that recommendation down to one month, and in the end, the judge in her case dealt out a shockingly light slap-on-the-wrist sentence of just four months. The decision left Huffman in tears in the courtroom, but also led to widespread outrage among the many who (rightly) believe Huffman was a beneficiary of white privilege. In short, she’ll suffer the indignity of spending two weeks in a county-orange jumpsuit, but the consensus will remain that she got away with it and never paid her debt to society. Huffman’s sentence is a very short one — but in all likelihood, her reputation and career prospects are irreparably ruined. Huffman will serve her time in a detention center just outside of San Francisco — and her team is already spinning this into a case of her bravely facing her punishment. You know, the punishment she desperately tried to wriggle out of. “Ms. Huffman is prepared to serve the term of imprisonment Judge Talwani ordered as one part of the punishment she imposed for Ms. Huffman’s actions,” Huffman’s representative said in a prepared statement released today, “She will begin serving the remainder of the sentence Judge Talwani imposed — one year of supervised release, with conditions including 250 hours of community service — when she is released.” Huffman was convicted of paying a fraudulent proctor to help her daughter cheat on the SATs, thus ensuring admission to the college of her choice. Fifty other parents were ensnared in the FBI’s Operation Varsity Blues sting operation, but along with fellow actress Lori Loughlin, Felicity became one of the two faces of the college admissions bribery scandal. Unlike Huffman, Loughlin did not accept a plea deal, and is now gearing up to fight the charges against her in criminal court. She stands accused of doling out $500,000 in bribes in order to ensure her two daughters’ admission to USC. At this point, it seems highly unlikely that Loughlin will avoid prison time. “I don’t think I’d be giving away any state secrets by saying we would probably ask for a higher sentence for her than we did for Felicity Huffman,” U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling of the District of Massachusetts told NBC News today. We’ll have further updates on this developing story as more information becomes available.

Source: WENN/Avalon / WENN Fabolous’ questionable past has come back to hurt him in the pocket. An educational institution recently rescinded their invitation to have him at their homecoming festivities. The Brooklyn MC was scheduled to perform at Georgetown University’s “Hoya Madness” last weekend. XXL is reporting that Fab’s invite was cancelled due to allegations of domestic violence. School officials released a formal statement explaining their position. “After engaging with students, we have cancelled the musical act for 2019 Hoya Madness. We take domestic violence very seriously and were unaware of the charges against the entertainer when he was booked through a third-party entity. We are committed to enhanced vetting of future performers and doing all that we can to support a safe and respectful community.” Earlier this year Fabolous plead guilty to one count of harassment for threatening and menacing his longtime girlfriend Emily Bustamante and her father. He originally faced up to 20 years for allegedly punching her so hard that she had to have her front teeth removed. Weeks later footage surfaced of him brandishing a sharp object at Emily and her family members outside of their New Jersey home. You can see the video of the altercation below. Since then the “Breathe” MC and the former Love & Hip Hop star seemed to have settled their differences as the couple have been spotted very much booed up in recent months. Photo: PNP/WENN.com

As per his social media posts he plans on extracting a shameful form of vengeance. “All the leaks is cute I don’t care for real ’cause once music is old to me, it doesn’t matter…but I promise you this, if I find out who is leaking it, I will make a decent example out of you…and no one can stop it, no Kanye, nobody! In addition, two unfinished Kanye records named “All Dreams Real” and “Selah” also leaked this weekend. This is not the first time the “Numbers On The Board” rapper has dealt with leaks. His scrapped “Maybach Music VI” verse suddenly appeared after the release of Rick Ross’ Port Of Miami 2. Disneyland is known as The Happiest Place on Earth. And yet, following a Dancing With the Stars episode that took place at this resort and during which the contestant performed Disney-themed routines, not everyone walked away with a smile on his or her face. Starting with Carrie Ann Inaba. The veteran judge went viral on Monday night shortly after she gave her critique of Kate Flannery’s jazz routine to “A Spoonful of Sugar” from Mary Poppins with her partner, Pasha Pashkov. When Tom Bergeron pointed out that one of the dancing duo’s broom props was near the judge’s table, Inaba bent over to get a closer look at the item. And then? TIMBER! As Inaba went to sit, her chair moved backward and she fell down, prompting Flannery and Pashkov to rush to her side. Thankfully, Inaba was just fine and the show continued. Who exceled and who nearly embarrassed themselves as much as Inaba? Scroll down to find out… Sailor Brinkley-Cook & Val Chmerkovskiy : The Viennese Waltz was Sailor’s best dance yet, as she did Cinderella proud with a total score of 24. Karamo Brown & Jenna Johson : Brown still has some technique issues to work through, but the African elements added to his Samba helped it stand out and gained a 21. Kate Flannery & Pasha Pashkov : This jazz routine went up a notch when the actress shifted into the quickstep portion. She remains a front-runner after notching a 24. Sean Spicer & Lindsay Arnold : This Quickstep wasn’t all that quick, but Spicer loosened up just a tiny bit, thanks to his partner yelling at him throughout. They earned a 19. Ally Brooke & Sasha Farber : Bravo all around! The partners were totally in sync for their Contemporary routine, prompting the judges to hand out their first 9’s of the season — each! 27 points! Lauren Alaina & Gleb Savchenko : The country singer never seemed totally comfortable with her Samba, most notably lacking enthusiasm when it came to her hip action. Lack of sensuality led to a score of 23. Kel Mitchell & Witney Carson : What an entertaining Jazz routine! Kel came out with tons of swagger and his smile was contagious. Dude also breakdanced at one point. 26 points! Hannah Brown & Alan Bersten : This was an elegant Foxtroy. The Bachelorette was practically floating through the air as she gracefully earned 25 points. James Van Der Beek & Emma Slater : They closed the night with a strong Paso Doble, as the actor embodied his character with confidence and showmanship, garnering 26 points. Talk about a competitive season, huh? No duds, not definitive favorites — and no one eliminated on Monday. Who will be the next to go when the time comes? You tell us!
Jeremy Renner has often been in the news of late due to his hobby of flipping houses. But new details regarding the alleged ways he used to flip out on his ex-wife were made public on Monday morning… … and they offer a very frightening look at the actor’s life and his failed marriage to Sonni Pacheco. According to legal documents filed by Sonni , as part of her custody battle with Renner over six-year old daughter Ava, Pacheco cites a disturbing incident from just this past November. She says that the veteran actor was at a club at the time, totally high on coke and drunk on alcohol, when he starting talking about murdering Sonni, telling someone he “could not deal with her anymore, and he just wanted her gone.” Pacheco also points to a separate incident in which Renner stuck a gun in his mouth… threatened to kill Sonni… and then fired a bullet into the ceiling, all while Ava was asleep in her bedroom. It’s unclear exactly when this alleged incident took place. Wait, however, there’s more to be extemely concerned over. Pacheco claims that The Avengers star has a history of substance abuse, verbal and emotional abuse. In these legal papers, Sonni says Jeremy repeatedly has been under the influence when spending time with Ava — and that he once left cocaine on a bathroom counter, making it easily reachable by the toddler. In one instance, Sonni alleges that a nanny overheard Renner state he was going to Sonni’s home to kill her and then kill himself, because “it was better that Ava had no parents than to have [Sonni] as a mother.” Seriously scary stuff. Renner and Pacheco got married 2014… and Pacheco filed for divorce later that year, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the basis for the break-up. Pacheco has filed a request for sole legal and physical custody of Ava with the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. She is also asking for monitored visitation when Renner is with their daughter. A court hearing has been scheduled for November 7, with the exes having been ordered to attend child custody mediation in the meantime. In response to this horrific allegations, an attorney for Renner has released the following statement: “The well-being of his daughter Ava has always been and continues to be the primary focus for Jeremy. “This is a matter for the court to decide. It’s important to note the dramatizations made in Sonni’s declaration are a one-sided account made with a specific goal in mind.” We’ll update this story with more news as it breaks.
