The father of eight’s latest conquest may be his most impressive/galling/hilarious: reports have linked him with Stephanie Santoro , a cocktail waitress, aspiring model and, oh, his children’s babysitter! According to Radar Online, Santoro has told friends that Gosselin hired her to take care of his kids. But Jon and Stephanie spent Saturday together at Legends, an establishment in Reading, Pennsylvania where Santoro occasional works

Verizon drops smartphone prices across the board

According to BoyGeniusReport , Verizon has slashed the prices of their current smartphone line, bringing most to $99 USD with two-year contract. BGR speculates that an entire new line of smartphones are headed our way soon, and the price cuts will help clear out inventory.

Facebook integrated into Nintendo DSi

Nintendo has announced Facebook integration in the DSi handheld, following a recent firmware update that will now allow you to upload pictures taken on the handheld right to your FB profile. The integration is now available in the US, EU, Australia and Japan.

CinemaNow headed to VuNow

VuNow has announced that they have added Roxio CinemaNow content to their VuNow Internet TV service. The service allows users to watch video content directly from their TVs without the need for a PC. The service connects to YouTube, many global TV stations, and now over 10,000 CinemaNow movies.

Online movie watching continues strong growth

According to a new survey on ‘American Internet habits’ reported by the Pew Internet and American Life Project , online movie watching has doubled over the last two years. 35 percent of those surveyed said they had watched a TV show or movie online in 2009, up from 16 percent in 2007. About 25 percent of those watching content said they did so through their TV

Sonic brings HD streaming to CinemaNow

Sonic Solutions has announced that they will finally be bringing HD streaming to its Roxio CinemaNow online video service, using a new technology dubbed Sonic CineVision Adaptive HD which the company promises will make films look Blu-ray-esque in 1080p full HD . Sonic’s competitors, such as iTunes , Amazon, VUDU, and Sony have all had HD streaming or downloads for some time now. CineVision Adaptive HD will also be available “as part of the company’s CineVision Master Encoding system” says TWICE, “enabling others to maximize the quality of streaming video content.” The CineVision Master Encoding system is used in current Blu-ray production, so the company says the streaming quality will be second to none

Pirate Bay sued by FPM, FIMI

The FIMI (Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana) and the FPM (Federation against Musical Piracy) have declared their intent to sue the founders of the torrent tracker The Pirate Bay , seeking monetary damages of 1 million euros. The move follows the recent lawsuit against the site by the Hollywood studios , the decision of a Netherlands court that the site must be blocked in the region , and the fact that the proposed purchase of the site by Global Gaming Factory seems to be on the brink of failure . The lawsuit will be against the site’s founders, Peter Sunde, Fredrik Neij and Gottfrid Svartholm
